mega I can relate to how you are feeling! My Dd has been waking up every morning at 4am ... She's been going back off ok but it's really knackered me out having to get up and I don't really sleep deeply after. I too am worrying how I'll cope as remembering the tiredness from first time!

Also stressing about work as my job really changed (rightly or wrongly) last time I went back which I found really hard!

That's not to say I'm not excited, just over worrying probably!

chopsface · 25/04/2015 22:02

I'm also worried about my job honey We are currently going through some major changes including a merger and a building move and completely changing a lot of our working practice to accomodate this upheaval. The move/merge should happen in Sept but may be delayed as our new building has some completion issues! I really hate the thought of missing the move and coming back from maternity as a complete clueless newbie!

Withalittlesparkle · 25/04/2015 22:21

I have a pro sleep toddler but am still struggling!! No idea how you guys cope with the waking up all the time

WonkyDonkBonk · 25/04/2015 22:24

Hi everyone.

Can I jump on too? I got my BFP yesterday and have an EDD of 27th December. This will be DC#2 for us and DD will be 3 when this one pops out. We had been trying for about 6 months with an early loss in December.

This month to get my BFP I made a big effort to invoke the law of sod, so I bought a big block of blue cheese, a 32 pack of lil-lets and some new clothes. I also went to see some new born lambs and went out drinking in the tww. Hey presto it worked Smile

Not many symptoms yet, just a few aches and pains and a bit of bloating. I had a lovely pregnancy last time so am fully expecting to be slapped in the face by karma this time round.

Very happy to be here

Withalittlesparkle · 25/04/2015 23:03

Congrats wonky! my DS will be 2.5 when new baby arrives!! There are so many mums on here going in for round two with similar aged DC

FeedTheBirds33 · 25/04/2015 23:05

Thanks all, very glad to be here!

I've been feeling a bit nauseous on and off, but no throwing up at all - hoping it stays that way... And I find tiredness comes on really suddenly, I'll be fine one minute then the next I'm out like a light.

ChandlersFarang · 26/04/2015 01:55

Hi Wonky! Smile Congrats.

Jebel I hear ya on the filth dreams!! Think it's because I'm under a self-imposed sex/orgasm ban just until I know all is well in there. DH surviving on some first and second base action à la secondary school parties. Ha ha. I know I COULD still be doing it but after one loss and the amount of freaking months I was TTC I'm just not risking it! We did last time and I lost it 2 nights later. Sure it's totally unrelated but wouldn't be able to get into it if I was worrying. Will get back on it once I have seen all is well on a screen!! GrinGrin

HariboBrenshnio · 26/04/2015 03:00

Feel - congratulations on lovely scan news Smile

Hi to the newbies and congratulations!

This pregnancy lark is confusing. Literally couldn't keep my eyes open at work today and spent most of the day fantasising about getting in my car and driving home to bed. DS just woke up which DP dealt with but now I'm wide awake and have been for over an hour. I'm going to be so tired today. Hope everyone else is getting a good nights sleep!

NicNak22 · 26/04/2015 07:45

Wonky I did pretty much the same during my 2ww this time, had a few vodkas with a friend etc and get presto.

Maybe this not over thinking it is the way forward no that won't be it

Metalhead · 26/04/2015 07:53

Urgh, the nausea has really ramped up for me the last couple of days, I feel awful! It's reassuring in a way as I never felt this bad last time when I miscarried, but I still wish I didn't feel quite so yuck...

orangemouth281 · 26/04/2015 08:13

Hello newbies and congrats!

I don't mean to show off but I've just woken up and DD is still asleep. This has never happened before but I am so grateful of the lie in!

abi2790 · 26/04/2015 08:19

Good morning ladies. Hope you're all having a good weekend.

I've got cramp again today. Was really crampy up until about 6 and a half weeks and I'm now nearly 8 weeks and it's come back so I'm panicking a bit. There's been lots of knicker checking this weekend for meSad

WonkyDonkBonk · 26/04/2015 08:38

Orange enjoy the lie in. Before you know it you will have two little ones wanting to bounce things off your head at 6am.

chopsface · 26/04/2015 08:50

Try not to worry Abi x

Who here is expecting their first child apart from me and chandlers?

Sweets27 · 26/04/2015 09:01

Morning all, and welcome newbies! Hope everyone's having a nice weekend.

chops this'll be my first. I think there are air s few of us too, looking at the stats list. Props to everyone handling pregnancy while also looking after a child, although I think first time pregnancy is tough and scary in a different way...!

TerryTheGreenHorse · 26/04/2015 09:51

Just saw the January 16 thread!

We must be full now! Grin

Jcandy · 26/04/2015 10:03

First for me too! I lazed in bed too much this morning after I woke up and had to run to the toilet to retch as I hadn't eaten anything. Won't make that mistake again!

HariboBrenshnio · 26/04/2015 10:08

I envy those pregnant with their first. I'd love to do it all over again. I'm so excited about our second of course but there's nothing like having your first. The just thinking about yourself and baby, the ideas and fantasies about what It'l be like, watching your bump grow for the first time and then having the time to just devote completely to one baby. I know my second will bring along lots of firsts and lovely times too though with DS getting a sibling. Enjoy being pregnant with your first Smile

WhatsForYeWontGoByYe · 26/04/2015 10:14

mega are you SURE you're not me?? My DD doesn't like sleep much (no idea who she gets that from as DH and I are big fans) and she was up at 4.30am, bouncing on top of me in bed having turned all the bedside lights on, shrieking "EYES!!" into my sleep-deprived face. Then, "Poo! big poo!" while clutching her arse. A lovely start to my day.

So yes, I do worry about my sanity when I've got two to contend with. Karma says the next one has to be an angelic lamb of a child who sleeps all the time, right? [hysterical]

Hello to the new BFPs!

Today is the first time in months we're able to have a nice family day cos DH has just finished a load of professional exams, so we're off out, hopefully to somewhere I can vomit discretely if necessary. Wish me luck.

chopsface · 26/04/2015 10:24

Urgh, feel like crap. Luckily I can hang around round the house. Not looking forward to going to work this week though :-(

MIL called dh the other day asking how our fertility referral was going. He said still waiting! He was dying to say well actually we are 6 weeks pregnant but we wanna wait a few more weeks. Can't wait to tell my parents, been imagining how to tell them. Its got to involve asking about plans for Christmas!

shinysparklythings · 26/04/2015 10:25

This is my first too, totally exciting and terrifying. I'm so knackered that I don't know how id cope if I already had a dc.

Still not being proper sick, but lots of burps and mini sick a few times. Get full really quickly when eating too. very unlike me and gone of cake & choc completely unlike me

Enjoying chilling on the sofa with Netflix but really need to go out and get some leggings for work tomorrow, as my comfy ones died and the size 14 are now far too tight on my bloaty belly! Confused I already look about 4 months I reckon just from bloat! And I'm only 8 weeks!

Hope everyone is ok, and welcome to the newbies x

WaitingForEgg · 26/04/2015 10:46

Chops this is my first too, very nervous. Not a huge amount of experience with babies. A couple of friends have one but they live in a different county to me so really hoping to meet some other to-be mums here.

Serenity05 · 26/04/2015 10:50

Welcome and congrats, Feed and Wonky!

Chops, I'm a first timer too.

My nausea is still on and off (which I'm now feeling grateful for rather than panicking it means something bad) but I'm finding a small bowl of cereal keeps it at bay, which is weird because other than that I'm totally off dairy. Now if only I could figure out how to - TMI alert - cure this sodding constipation!

toadierocks · 26/04/2015 11:08

Welcome Newbies!!! and Congratulations on your BFP'S!!!

I've pretty much slept since Friday afternoon....... Sooooooo tired! Been wracked with some horrible dreams tho, think its all the anxiety for tomorrow's scan :(

FeedTheBirds33 · 26/04/2015 11:35

I'm definitely a first timer too, chops. And waiting, I'm in the same boat as you - virtually zero baby experience. It comes naturally, right (hoping those with DCs already can reassure us!)???

Serenity, I'm hooked on cereal too, whatever the time of day if I feel icky (ie a bit hungry, because the two seem to be one and the same) I reach for the cereal.
