ooh I'm going to be on gas and air again. bloody love the stuff (once the nausea passes) Grin
I had both of mine delivered straight onto me. it's a really lovely experience. I'm excited now. less than 12 weeks to go, and I will have another little baby. it will be weird though as my 16 month old DD is only in 9-12 month clothing but I know she will look massive in comparison to DS2 Grin

Hi all,
I've not posted in aaaaages but have been lurking and just about keeping up with your news.
Glad your SIL is ok Must and JmJo it's never TMI from you - I learn so much from your posts.
I'm quite behind the rest of you with a July 25th due date but finally go in to my third trimester tomorrow and starting to get really excited about meeting LO. Before then OH and I have got heaps to do including painting the nursery and going on holiday. Oh, and buying everything we don't have - which is pretty much everything Grin
Hope everyone has got a lovely weekend ahead, I'm working the bank hol so gonna make the most of tomorrow and Sunday. Will try and post a bit more but just wanted to check in and say hi really - here's to the home straight ladies!

broodylicious · 01/05/2015 22:37

jomo, not too much info at all! Do you not want to get back into midwifery and use your previous knowledge every day/get paid for it? Seems like a shame not to.

broody I loved my ladies but OMG I do not miss the hours or the stress, not being able to pee for 12 hours (yes this has happened to me), never getting a full lunch break, working 2 hours past the end of your shift because it is so busy there is no one to take over your patient, or the emotional drainage that you suffer. It can be a very hard but very rewarding job. I am just fine doing arm chair advice!

I think one day I would love to run a new mum's group or something though. Something social to bring people together like we are on here. We don't have much of that here in Panama so it is in the back of my mind that I may start something.

Fattycow · 01/05/2015 23:28

I am planning on no pain relief, except maybe the midwife's TENS machine. Gas and air isn't used in labour over here and I don't like the other options at all!
The injection to help deliver the placenta is only given if it doesn't come by itself, so most women I know haven't had it.

broodylicious · 02/05/2015 07:52

jmo, what you've described there, my dear, is motherhood Wink?? Haha, well sometimes it feels like that. That's a great idea about setting up a group. While you're back in the uk, you should try visiting a few of the NCT bumps and babies sessions or your local childrens centres to give you some more inspiration.

fatty, same preferences here tooSmile

Morning Ladies! Whoop whoop the princess is here!!! Exciting times!

I type with now bad case of carpal tunnels.Grin

JoY007 · 02/05/2015 11:28

Jmojo not all all, keep the information coming. I find them very helpful. xxxSmileStar

broodylicious · 02/05/2015 11:36

So exciting, isn't it, joY? I wonder if they will be going home today. It's hard because with your first, you'd want to stay in and relax a bit but with the second, I want to get home quickly to see my dd and introduce her to her brother or sister. Guess it's down to the parents and docs.

I'm I the only one who is a tiny bit jealous? I'm so uncomfortable I want him out. I know Kate's done her 40+ weeks but still wish it was my turn.

I'm very grumpy pregnant lady today, very little sleep, constantly uncomfortable, spot breakout and oh keeps calling me fat n grump. I know he doesn't mean it, I was saying the same with him yesterday, but it's not what I want to hear today.

JoY007 · 02/05/2015 11:49

broody think they should, at least to reduce the drama around the hospital. She can be monitored at home, like she was before.Wink

I was not following her but I am now excited because it signals to me long now!Grin

MrsFbabyNo1 · 02/05/2015 11:51

Most definitely not too much information jmojo!! Really interesting and helpful as normal! thanks

Grin Grin yeah I just got emotional at the new princess too!! I've also read today that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have had a son - He's v cute called Silas. Not a jt groupie but had prev thought be interesting to see what famous people who have their babies before we do call them. safely say Silas wasn't on our list to be seen as 'copying' / trendy due to celebs.

Any princess name guesses??? sure it will be a classic, but hope Diana is maybe a middle name or use some variant of that.

broodylicious · 02/05/2015 12:00

I'm guessing Alice, with Diana and Elizabeth in the mix there too. Must admit I like Alice myself but dh doesn't so not on our girl short list which is just one name so very short indeed!

MustBeLoopy390 · 02/05/2015 12:05

I must admit i got very excited when I found out she was in labour :) and Charlie I'm also a grumpy pregnant lady atm, just can't seem to get comfortable and my moods are all over the place! Confused

JoY007 · 02/05/2015 12:10

Charlie lol, I was almost like that this morning I had to clear out the room by myself to get it prepared for the painting, squatting to lift things with one hand.

DP decided to suddenly disappear and do some unnecessary food shopping Angry . Showed up when painter was here and clear out complete. Bad enough I am getting a painter, should he not be doing the painting?!

There was food at home by the way!

Then I broke down in tears feeling sorry for myself, bet she does not need to go through that. However we say that, I am sure she has her down moments as well only human. Wink

Zampa · 02/05/2015 12:14

Will be incredibly annoyed if this child shares either my name or one I've chosen for the lo ...

Charliej86 · 02/05/2015 12:24

I have a friend who had her little boy 6weeks early yesterday (doing very well and over 5lbs) made me quite jealous again.

I'm just having an emotional low I'm sure, just want oh to show a bit more love. To be honest and maybe a lil tmi I want sex but he says no coz although he finds me sexy I'm too big!! I've laughed but it's getting to me now.

broodylicious · 02/05/2015 12:45

Is your lo's name one of the bookies' front runners then, zampa? I imagine there will be a flurry of the chosen royal name. Wouldn't bother me at all, I don't really care about top 10 lists/popular names but I know it does matter to a lot of people.

smallgreenbanana · 02/05/2015 14:00

I am feeling a bit annoyed with DH too as he is not as focused on preparing as I feel he should be. But I have to cut him some slack as he had a very stressful job he doesn't enjoy much and doesn't sleep well so comes home every weekend exhausted. Still I feel a bit like I'm having this baby on my own sometimes! But I also realise it's much more absorbing and real for me so I can feel her moving and kicking all the time.

Started my hospital bag - excited!

Royal baby - yey! I suspect there's quite a good chance they will choose the name we are likely to use as a middle name - but doesn't bother me as it is a classic name and a family name. People can think what they want! I just love looking at pictures of newborns. It's a new hobby! Can't wait to meet my LO now. Wee!

smallgreenbanana · 02/05/2015 14:02

charlie we need a bit of that here too! But it's been a while and a bit worried things might not fit/work anymore Wink Should probably just pluck up the courage.

Zampa · 02/05/2015 15:16

My name is one of the favourites and some of the names on our girls long list are also popular with the bookies.

One of my naming criteria is that the name is outside the top 100. I'm even tempted to wait until the 2014 name list is released in mid August so I know which ones to avoid although I don't think DP will allow that!

On the plus side DP had returned from his bike ride with the decision that a name he previously thought of as a cow's name is now acceptable.

JoY007 · 02/05/2015 15:45

Whoop whoop she is leaving the hospital today, hoping that will be the same for us Smile #royalbabygirl

broodylicious · 02/05/2015 17:45

I'm hoping for pretty much the same timescale, joY - go in at 6, out for 6. I would hate to be away from dd for any longer.

zampa, haha, it's not Daisy it it? The name your dh now likes? My mum keeps banging on about what a pretty name it is and how it would go beautifully with our surname and with our dd's name. Just doesn't do it for us though so not on our list. I'm guessing Alice or Charlotte is not on your list because they're top 100 I'm sure....
