The last one was getting too long again. There's just no stopping us!

OP posts:

PS, love the name CR. I had picked out Amelie as one of our girl names - very similar.

VanillaMilkshake · 10/11/2006 21:08

I know there's a lot of itching going on at the mo, but has anyone had any moles/freckles starting to itch?? I have a PG book called 'The Rough Guide to Pregnancy' which I have read through both PG@s as I think it;s great, and the author does go one about skin tags and moles a lot. But I have one freckle on my arm which has gone all dry and if I thin about it I can pinpoint where it is without looking. Am I being paranoid - or is this normal??

jabberwocky · 10/11/2006 21:10

I have lots of microscopic skin tags this time around - ick! And there's a place on my back that kind of feels hard like a scab (sorry if that's a little gross) but has been there a while so maybe similar to what you have?

Elibean · 10/11/2006 21:12

VM, yes, I have three teeny new ones on my right boob - and they do itch at times. I had the same sort of thing happen last pregnancy, got them checked out, very normal. If one starts to bleed, change shape/colour etc obviously get it looked at - but just having dryish, itchy-ish new moles/tags/sunspots or whatever apparently very normal. HTH.

CR, we may be delivering babes on the same day then! Woohoo! Better pack my bag too...

...and I can always hope that Bump decides to come even earlier, hey.

VanillaMilkshake · 10/11/2006 21:13

Am starting to itch more by the day. Will ask MW about it tomorrow. She's coming to talk about a possible HB. Although DH has put a spanner in the works by offering to work, so just hoping MW is coming after 11am.

How are the ankles doing jabber? Mine are beinging to feel tight and look a little swollen, dont think I'll spend much more time on here - famous last words

VanillaMilkshake · 10/11/2006 21:14

Thanks Eli - puts my mind at ease

Elibean · 10/11/2006 21:14

Names are lovely, btw - we did wonder about Amelie (seeing as we need a French-friendly version) but hated the film, so couldn't quite bring ourselves to. Shame, its such a pretty name - and Amberli common???!? I've never heard of it, or met one - go for it

Elibean · 10/11/2006 21:15

Oh lor, VM, not you too - if you need a list of itch-tips, you know who to ask

VanillaMilkshake · 10/11/2006 21:19

I have a friend who called her DD Romily - which I liked, although thought was very unusual and had never heard it anywhere else.
Also have an old school friend who called her DD Lahana - not sure but I think that may have been made up as her DH said in the birth announcement 'No, you wont find it in any of the books' her mum just called the baby LaLa

Elibean · 10/11/2006 21:24

One of dd's best playmates is called Romilly - she's a sweetie

jabberwocky · 10/11/2006 21:31

Eli, ankles are great in the morning but getting bigger and bigger by the end of the day. Hands seem to be fairly puffy most of the time now.

jabberwocky · 10/11/2006 21:32

Oh, and yes, I did do a c-section birth plan. Not too much on it, but wanted to know about music, didn't want my hands strapped down, catheter after epidural, etc.

Elibean · 10/11/2006 21:34

Yes, I seem to remember I did one last time...but then I had an OB I didn't trust an inch! This time, feels like I can just tell her waht I want as I go along. On the other hand, my memory is getting soooo bad now (lack of sleep) that I might do one just to remind myself what that is

A little puffy here too, Jabber - hands during night, mostly.

Right: I'm definitely going to bed now - the earlier I start tossing and turning, the more likely I am to make up a sensible total of hours kip

VanillaMilkshake · 10/11/2006 21:41

So...I know this is TMI, and you'll probably all be thinking - 'that's the last thing on y mind' - but going back to the lust thing....is it just me? Had lovely evening with DH last night - nothing invasive IYKWIM, and nothing which could trigger labour but was very enjoyable none-the-less.

Could do with another Anton dream now.

VanillaMilkshake · 10/11/2006 22:33

Me again! Did I repluse you all with my last posting?? You've all gone quiet

Have been on e-bay and bought a new baby chair for £23.95, inc postange, over £10 less than Mothercare. Feeling better about things now, just need to find something to spend the vouchers on!

annaspanner · 10/11/2006 22:40

You are right VM-that's the last thing on my mind! lol...has been for months.
I had a fairly easy pregnancy, only a dodgy stomach and a bit of (fem) itching every now and then ....until I reached 36 weeks last Saturday(more or less when LO dropped). Now I have a grand list of ailments, bad back, achy legs, achy feet, bad period type pains....I can't sleep, can't wake up...I can't even get up from sitting position most of the time. And if any nice people(strangers, neighbours etc) ask me how Im feeling, I tell them...in full detail. Why should I suffer alone? I totally feel for all of you who want it over, now!
As I only do 2 hours a day my bosses want me to stay on until I drop but I'm now thinking of just doing one more week and having a couple of weeks lying on the sofa..bliss!

I've got lots of new moles btw...and itchy ones too.

Names..I love Amelia and Amelie! DP and I haven't talked about it for ages....just couldn't agree(meaning DP just said no to most of my suggestions). Possibly Gabriela..we'll see.

jabberwocky · 10/11/2006 22:51

errr, VM, had a very nice morning with dh before ds woke up and we didn't bother worrying about inducing labor

Anna, mornings are my best times these days, before the back ache, swelling feet, overall tiredness, etc. etc. I seem to go downhill quickly!

Elibean · 11/11/2006 09:09

Lol, VM, if I thought it would induce labour I'd go for it - but sadly, my lustful times were a fair bit earlier in this pg! Dreams, fine: reality? Can't lie or sit down comfortably to watch tv, let alone anything else

Elibean · 11/11/2006 09:11

Names , still a bit stuck here. Mischa very likely, goes with out surname and dh's roots...and works in French as well as English. Still like Talia, but its soo similar to dd1's name might be silly. Also like Ariane, in French, but sounds like 'arry-ann in English!

Elibean · 11/11/2006 09:11

'our' not 'out', that is.

Indith · 11/11/2006 10:24

Loving all the names!

Eli I love Arianne (in all its many spellings!), tis on our list for a girl since we need French friendly too. Actually quite like the idea of the celtic spelling for it Ariadne but dp is way too traditional about names!

Vanilla I always think of Amelia as Emmy because of Vanity Fair, very cute though!

jabberwocky · 11/11/2006 12:46

Snap, Indith! I was thinking Ariadne too when I first read it

Elibean · 11/11/2006 14:44

Curious, is the 'd' pronounced in Ariadne?

Elibean · 11/11/2006 14:46

Who else was it who got a Gecko the other day? Loulou? Just got ours delivered - and am trying to get it set up before dh gets home (he usually ploughs in without reading instructions, then gets very hot and bothered ). More or less there, but can't figure out the sun canopy bit yet...do like an engineering challenge...

jabberwocky · 11/11/2006 15:04

Over here it would be pronounced "ah-ree-ahd'ne".
