Thanks for all the tips.
I have been using long vests, which help cover any skin showing. But the tops/t-shirts are kind of sticking out now at weird angles and looking too small iykwim. I think I might just buy a few things. I guess that if I end up stretching my work tops I'd have to replace them anyway at some point.

dozy, I'm addicted to e-bay! I think I might look like humpty dumpy in my dungarees as I'm short and round. But they're so comfy i don't care.
It's so hard not to get hung up on weight /changing body shape. I lost loads to start with. It seems to have stayed off my top half (apart from bump), but my legs and arse are cellulite central. Horribly fat and lumpy. I kept telling myself I'll walk it off when he's here, but I'm worried what another 10+ weeks of my beige food will do to me.

OMC1 · 04/06/2015 08:50

Morning all you lovely ladies & bumps!

I've had another few days break from here; will catch up properly later! Had to be off work Mon & Tues due to horrendous heartburn that made me so sick - I felt like a horror movie as I managed to burst a load of blood vessels in my face - yuck! Feeling better today and glad the sun is out!

I had my midwife appointment this week too, and I am measuring above the line (I think she said I am about 29/30cm) but assured me not to worry, so I'm not! Don't fully understand the measuring thing anyway, so happy to remain blissfully ignorant!

As for clothes; its getting to be a struggle! At work I find wearing trousers uncomfortable (no idea why!) so I wear dresses, have been getting away with just buying bigger sizes though, rather than spending a fortune on maternity clothes! Can't wait to break up from work so I can just live in PJs and look like a slob! Haha!

How is everybody finding manoeuvring the bump!? I was smug for ages because my bump wasn't feeling heavy, but the past week or so it's like I've got a utility belt full of bricks around my middle! Everything is about 20 times more difficult now, even rolling over in bed! Haha!

Can't believe I am 30 weeks tomorrow, final countdown commences - argh!

pinkie87 · 04/06/2015 09:01

I'm not enjoying maternity clothes anymore! I was so chuffed with them at 20 weeks but not so much anymore....

Like you frolic I've decided that wearing more fitted tops actually makes me look a little LESS like an elephant. The fact that my boobs are currently HUGE (I think about 36F but maybe a bit bigger) also makes me look really fat! :( I need to go and get some long vests this weekend I think. Dresses seem to make me look huge too. Makes work difficult as jeans aren't allowed, and I only have a maternity pencil skirt, no trousers.

Dani240 · 04/06/2015 10:01

Dozy I'm the same, I so much prefer to look hugely pregnant in a tight-over-bump top than chubby in someting baggy! I got some nice ASOS maternity stuff a few weeks ago, which hopefully will last me to the end!

OMC yes, when I turn over in bed at the moment I sound like I'm taking part in a weightlifting competition!

Lilydreams · 04/06/2015 10:22

Thanks to everyone for the exam congrats! I'm hoping the thirty of the sun shining= passed is correct!! Grin the weather is gorgeous isn't it! Think I might stick a maxi dress in today when I finally get dressed! Emptied all our wardrobes yesterday and am about to go do the unserved drawers so no point getting dressed yet as will be a mucky job with all the dust!

Dozy- I'm also gutted about having put weight on in places I've previously lost- so everywhere! Frolic- same here it's all bum and thighs, I've even had to buy bigger knickers because the legs were digging in of my usual ones Blush! Just trying to ignore it- only 2 months till I can start doing something about it, planning on walking like mad in the early days so hoping in a good summer and then once I get the all clear to train properly will increase some walks to rubs again which I know will annoy the hell out of me as it will be like starting from scratch all over again (was up to running 9 minute miles over 8/9 miles pre preg) and 30 day shred DVDs maybe then once I'm feeling fitter insanity will be making a come back! It was amazing before my wedding damn hard work but amazing results! Think I find it comforting knowing that I have a plan and I won't be so flabby forever! Agree with all the comments about tight tops looking better- h&m normal vest tops are cheap as chips and v. Cheap, also long- come down to over my bum even with 30 week bump- I've got 5 that I live in either in their own or under normal t-shirts/tops to make sure bump doesn't flash and they are amazing! Might get a few more to be honest! Also the good weather and current fashion of harem type pants is v.good- picked up a pair for £8 yesterday- nice pretty floral pattern with elastic waistband- got size 12 (usually an 8) and they are so comfy and will be stretchy enough to last another 2 months! DH spotted them too- he really is like having a personal shopper!

In other news I tested the water with cheese again yesterday- a little on some nachos at lunch seemed fine so went whole hog and had a dominos at tea! It was sooooo nice! Not had pizza since about November time!! And result it stayed down and didn't even make me feel sick so cheese is back on the menu! Yay!!

Right off to get some jobs done- gonna take it easier today was in agony yesterday after the 'cracking' incident in the night with my pelvis and then it ached all day and doing loads didn't help! Had a much better nights sleep last night though- even managed 4 hours straight at one point!

Enjoy the sunshine guys!!

Frolicacid · 04/06/2015 18:36

I hope your heartburn is better OMC.
I'm with you on the rolling off the bed. Our sofa is very low, and getting up seems to take a lot of effort and grunting there days Blush

my boobs are also making me feel huge pinkie! They're huge at the best of times, but now I'm also wearing an f cup and they are truly mahoosive. Can you imagine what we'll be like when the milk comes in?

I hope you enjoyed not studying today lily. It must be a relief that it's over. Great news about the cheese, although I think my big wobbly thighs may be mainly down to too much cheese feasting!

We've had a super day in the sun. It's our wedding anniversary tomorrow, but we are looking after dn, so DH took me out for lunch today to a lovely seaside restraunt.

How's everyone coping with the sun? I'm not too hot, but did feel like I could burn very easily today. I slathered the sun cream and have still got quite a tan and loads of freckles.

My midwife rang this morning and my bloods came back anaemic. That might explain the sponge eating. I've had some iron tablets prescribed. I'm terrified what they will do to my bowels!

Lilydreams · 04/06/2015 19:58

Frolic- I'm with you in grunting to get off the couch! We are sometimes v. lazy and have our tea on our laps- I have to put 2 cushions behind me and 2 on my lap with my plate on top to be able to reach over bump! Haha!

Was great to not be studying today took the dogs out in the sun and got loads of Jobs done I've been wanting to get done for ages- DH helped too! Unfortunately didn't listen to my own advice and by 4pm was in floods of tears that my back was hurting so much and id overdone it! Kind of took it out on DH which was really mean of me and after I'd finally calmed down he explained he's not a mind reader and if I don't tell him I'm getting knackered he won't know! I just still can't get my head round my own limitations, I've always been so independent and so organised and I have a real big issue with asking for help so I tried to keep going for my own stubbornness and because I thought I'd piss him off keeping stopping and asking him to do stuff instead! I succeeded in pissing him off by doing the opposite, as he felt shit I was upset! Doh!! He's been an angel since- cooked tea and put loads of washing on etc and I've promised to tell him when I'm tired from now on! And to try and ask for help although I can't promise that one! Haha!

Going having a look round of a nursery tomorrow eeeeek excited! Then meeting my girls for afternoon tea! Looking forward to it!!

sianihedgehog · 04/06/2015 20:55

Well, today in the continuing saga of my living situation stressing me right the fuck out, the builders BROKE IN by forcing a window. Rang the letting agent to complain, and they said that if we don't like it we can try to find somewhere else to live, plus they will now only respond to communications via registered mail. They made it quite clear that they intend to pursue a revenge eviction if we complain, so I'll be speaking to Shelter tomorrow.

I suppose at least I feel a bit more like my extreme anxiety is justified?

mzzzf · 04/06/2015 21:28

Siani that sounds totally unjust!!! Have you spoken to citizens advice as it doesn't sound right at all!!

Lily - I know what you mean about knowing limitations. I feel like I have to do more because I'm not at work now and then feel crap because it knackers me out. Just feel like a total fanny!! So I feel your pain

OMC1 · 05/06/2015 08:49

Siani That is AWFUL! Mzzzf is right, you should ring citizens advice or if you can afford it maybe speak to a solicitor - that can be expensive though. I work in a law firm dealing with landlord/tenancy disputes and although I'm just a secretary, if you want to DM me I can see if I can help at all by pointing you in the right direction about what to do?

Frolic and Pinkie I brought a couple of F cup bras yesterday - huge! And still ten weeks left for the puppies to get even bigger! YIKES!

Lily Congrats on passing your exams! And hurrah for cheese! Smile

happygojo · 05/06/2015 09:04

I take your F boobs and raise you GG! ridiculous

mzzzf · 05/06/2015 09:06

happy I'm with you in the GG camp. However, this is my normal cup size Blush so I'm dreading what will happen when milk comes in - FUCK! I have noticed that I feel wider though, might invest in a couple of extenders rather than having to buy bras now and 'milk size' bras...

Fanby · 05/06/2015 09:35

Funday Friday to all you girls with the biggest boobs ever haha!!!

Oh Siani what an absolute fucking nightmare! What absolute twats of landlords you have!! I can't believe a letting agent is letting this go on! They're supposed to have your needs sorted as well as the landlords?!

Happy wedding anniversary Frolic!!! Hope you have a lovely day!!

OMC1: Gosh you poor thing with the heartburn/sickies! Hope your face is better/gone down. Nasty stuff. Touch wood i've only had heartburn once but nothing on your scale.
My bump is definitely heavier now too! Putting socks on is becoming one of the most arduous tasks!
Congrats on the big 3-0! I'll be joining the 30 week club on Saturday :)

I'm going to try and have a chilled day today and try and shift this bloody cough once and for all. Got some friends coming over for dinner tonight so need to clean, cook and bake. One of them is pregnant so i'm really looking forward to having a good old chin wag as she's super organised and 6 weeks ahead of me so hoping for some tips :D xx

Fanby · 05/06/2015 09:57

Me again!! I'm in the mood to shop so can I apologise in advance for what will probably be a barrage of silly questions - bear with me, i'm the clueless mum to be on here!! :)

So, for sleeping….baby F is at the moment going to go straight into her cot in our room. So I understand a fitted sheet for the mattress but no sheets/duvets/pillows etc until she's bigger. So what do you use…

These sleep bags: www.mothercare.com/baby-sleeping-bags/bedding_sleepingbag,default,sc.html - if so what kind of tog should I be looking at?

Or these swaddle cloth/bags: www.johnlewis.com/gro-swaddle-bear-swaddle-baby-blanket-pack-of-2-white-multi/p1627107 - are they more for just cuddles etc rather than sleeping? I was going to write 'overnight' sleeping…here's hoping she's a good sleeper like DH and I :)

Thanks for any advice in advance ladies!! xx

happygojo · 05/06/2015 11:13

I was an FF pre pregnancy but am usually between a 34G and a 36FF.,.... currently wearing a very sexy 40GG (I keep telling myself it is just my ribs!) which to be fair is quite roomy. They said in Bravissimo that when they measure you for your nursing bra that they will go up a cup size or two to allow for when your milk comes in. I think the bra I want only goes up to H though so hoping that they don't grow any more between now and delivery

ChanceBeAFineThing · 05/06/2015 19:27

The weekend! Nothing else to say, but another week done. Phew.

ChanceBeAFineThing · 05/06/2015 19:33

Oh, and Fanby with previous children I've swaddled in cellular blanket for first few weeks/month. My winter baby then had another blanket tucked over the top of him in the Moses basket/cot (remember to put feet at the bottom of cot, I tucked the blanket under the mattress so it has nowhere to go and no suffocation risk).

Then used sleeping bag once a bit older. Never used an actual swaddling blanket though.

sianihedgehog · 05/06/2015 21:12

Thanks for the sympathy OMC fanby mzzf! I'm going to speak to Shelter about what I can do, but I'm also going to get us the fuck into our own house! Five viewings tomorrow , and we're planning to offer on at least two. My other half is now suddenly a bit more flexible about what he wants and is seeing the positives of being in control! I can fix this shit!

I'm kind of relieved and also disappointed that my boobs are actually shrinking now that my bump is getting insanely big! I was up to a D from my usual B in the first trimester, but I'm down to a C again now. My rib cage is exploding exploding, mind! Up from 32/34 to 38!! Anyone else finding that there's no space between bump and boobs now? It's getting REALLY uncomfortable for bras. I've bought a bunch of lovely soft sports bras with no boning or anything , but there's not even enough room for the band. :(

ChanceBeAFineThing · 05/06/2015 22:16

Good luck with viewings tomorrow siani, I hope you get something suitable sorted quickly.

Dozygirl · 06/06/2015 08:09

Hope u had a lovely anniversary frolic. I'm also hoping all the miles of walking I plan on doing will help me lose the weight I've gained. My thighs are ginormous. And the less said about my bottom the better. I've always had a big bum even at my slimmest.

Boobs haven't grown anymore since the initial spurt but they are certainly giant. Also thinking it would be a good idea to get a bra extender because the cup size seems to fit ok, it's just round the back gets bigger the more the bump gets bigger and pushes everything up and out.

Fanby I'm just gonna go straight for a grobag. They are safe from newborn and just all round easy to use etc. I don't know which togs to use though. I'll have to resort to Google for that I think.

Sian hope u get things sorted. That doesn't sound like a great situation to be in at all.

Had a stressful day yesterday and baby was being lazy and I could barely feel her but must have been her position. Once I got home from work and lay down I could feel her more and then later in the evening she had a good wiggle around.

Not loving the elephant trunk legs and feet I'm acquiring! Even when though yesterday I wasn't stood up much and I had a 2 hour rest on the sofa with my feet up, I still had giant feet. Going shopping on Monday again so will try to find some more maxi dresses because I think cute little summer dresses and shorts are off the table for me this year with these legs!

Hope u all have a lovely weekend. I've hit the 30 week mark too. I can't actually believe it sometimes! 4 weeks left to go at work and that can't come quick enough now.

Frolicacid · 06/06/2015 09:05

I hope the nursery visit went well lily. I can't believe we're at the stage to start thinking about things like that!

Good luck with the viewings today siani. Your situation sounds like I complete nightnare. I hope you managed to speak to shelter yesterday and that everything is resolved for you soon.

I hope your cold is better fanby.

Most of us seem have massive boobs on this thread! I'be got some bra extenders (e-bay again!) and am finding them lifesavers for days when I'm feeling wide around the ribs.

We've got a few things to try for sleeping, mostly given to us. Everyone swears by different things. We have a gro-bag, swaddle blanket and cellular blankets to try. Hopefully he'll like one of the options!

Thanks for the anniversary wishes. We had a nice day with 2 yr old dn. lots of fun! Can't believe we'll have our own child soon! She's still here and I'm glad to say she slept brilliantly.

I hope you all have a good weekend. Those taking iron tablets, how long was it until you started feeling better? I only started yesterday, but can't wait not to feel so breathless and exhausted.

sianihedgehog · 06/06/2015 09:25

I found I felt better after about 4 or 5 days on the iron tablets. I'm still feeling incredibly breathless , but I think there's just no room for lungs in me!

mzzzf · 06/06/2015 10:11

Oh my goodness - nursery places!! I'm planning on going back after 6 months so maybe I do need to have a look round sooner than I think - arrhh!
I know I'm ahead of a lot of you ladies since they changed my EDD after my scans so today I'm 33 weeks - OMG!
Siani I hope you get the houses sorted soon, that's some MEGA nesting!
Dozy - is there anyway you can take your mat leave sooner? Or use AL? Most of my colleagues stopped at 36 weeks, nursing shifts have got to be as physical, which is a lot of strain!!
Frolic - glad your anniversary was lovely. I keep looking at my nieces and thinking "I'm going to have one soon!" I really love my DNs and so can't imagine how much I'm going to adore my own little one!
Fanby - I've got a swaddle wrap and a gro bag. The gro bag site and the packaging have instructions for getting the temperature right and how many layers of clothing etc. I'm going to try both and see!

Fanby · 06/06/2015 16:13

Thanks for the tips on the sleep gear ladies! Going to get a mixture of both :) Not sure how many I need though? I really like the idea of the swaddle cloths – completely forgot about the cellular blankets!

How were the viewings sianihedgehog?? Seriously house hunting is exhausting at the best of times so I hope it wasn't too stressful for you today.

Hey Dozy! Hope you're well, glad your bump got wriggly in the evening, I hate the quiet days. I'm feeling a lot more hard bits in the bump, no idea what they are – hands, feet, arms etc!

33 weeks mzzzf esssshkkk! Wowza!! :D Not long to go at all!

Knackered today, think DH is going out to watch the football so totally going to make the most of the clean sheets on the bed and get in early :D xx

sianihedgehog · 06/06/2015 18:01

Fanby we did five today, we've offered on our first choice and will hear back on Monday, at which point if we haven't got it we're going to offer on our second choice, and then on the third if we're still not sorted. I'm really really hoping that by about Wednesday I'll be stressing out about mortgages instead!
