Congratuations Dogmum - another big boy!

Sympathise with the c section, hope you are recovering well - it does get easier.

EmilyTurner · 10/11/2006 16:05

Congrats Dogmum. Glad you are moving around easier.

I've been in hospital today, as I've been feeling really sick and sweating loads. They think it is the labour hormone kicking in. Was monitored - still 3 cm, baby loves it in my tummy (great) and they gave another sweep - FOURTH one. Oh and yanked my cervix down.

Well at least I know there are just two days of this hell of not being able to walk left. They were VERY reassuring at the hospital about the induction and said there was no reason why it shouldn't be straight forward. They were very calming.

Just thought I'd pass that on.

youngmum21 · 10/11/2006 16:12

hi emily- am glad that you feeling abit better bout the induction, are you sweating all ova or just certain places im asking cuz for the last few days my hands have been really sweaty???

Congratultions Dogmum! Good to hear from you - I was getting a bit worried by the long silence. Hope you're recovering from the c-section. And another lovely boy - all those dog-walking elderly ladies were right

Pop over and join us on the postnatal thread...

EmilyTurner · 10/11/2006 17:14

youngmum. All over. Last night it was running off me down my front, just like it does after you have a baby (and you sweat out all the retained water). Bit horrid.

jmcmugwump · 10/11/2006 20:12

Congrats Dogmum - i wondered where you ad gone!!

And fingers crossed for those of you left that things start moving soon x

catgirl · 11/11/2006 08:25

purpleluce · 12/11/2006 18:35

Emily/young mum just wanted you to know am thinking of you and hoping it is all over by now. Look forward to hearing your news, am on the oct post natal

Popsi · 12/11/2006 21:08

Is anyone still left here? Good luck if you are. Just to say Daniel William was born on Friday morning at 4am - 7 pounds 7 ounces and I got my waterbirth. More on the birth announcements!

DogMum · 13/11/2006 09:37

Congratulations Popsi. He sounds fab.

EmilyTurner, if you're already 3cm, it does look good for a straightforward induction.

Good luck to the remaining mums2be and I'll join the rest of you ladies on the postnatal thread next time Edward lets my boob out of his mouth! (He's a hungry boy) Thanks for the warm wishes from everyone.

I'll love you and leave you as I'm just heading off to breastfeeding support group. (To find out if there's one near you, contact La Leche League.)

Hi everyone

Zachary James was born on November 11 at 6.36pm weighing...10 pounds 10 oz. I went into hospital at 1.30pm with contractions 3 mins apart (they just arrived at 5 mins apart after lunch). Took gas and air and 1 shot of pethidine. They had me ready for an emergency c-section and I had to hold still for a line to go in my hand and they moved me to a huge room. But I got him out with just 20 mins of pushing. He came out the wrong way, head up, eyes open, looking at the sky but somehow, thank the Lord, I didn't tear and needed no stitches.

I am so glad my turkey is here - full story at www.doingitallagain.com

Good luck to all that is left and I look forward to reading your stories.
xx
