still here!
The contractions r really starting 2get painfull now but they not regular enough, sometimes they have been every 6 0r 7 mins then I dont get another 1 4bout 20mins. I've rung up hospital they said try wait till they r closer because they dont wanna examine me yet, coz of the risk of infection coz my waters have gone, so there no point going there yet just 2 sit there! I went this morning & all they done is listen 2 babies heartbeat, its so frustrating & they really do hurt now!
So i'm just sitting waiting 4 them 2 get more regular!! My ball is really helpin with them tho!

hope every1 else is ok!

Hi Everyone. Remember me? Haven't posted for ages but just to let you know that I had a wee boy at 21:02 on 23rd October! His name is Matthew Michael and he weighed 7lb 8oz. It was love at first sight!!!

Congratulations to all new mummies (that MUST include bendy and wuzz by now).
Well I had a halloween baby!! A little boy called Owen, weighed 7ib 10oz - is very cute. dd wants to call him harry (and bucket of dinosaurs - first time mums will soon learn the latest kids tv).
Birth was v. quick. went in hosp at 7pm and he was born at 9.21pm!! No one more shocked than me about that - dd took about 3 days.

Hi Everyone

Just to let yoy know that i had a gorgeous baby boy called Leo on 23rd weighing 7lb 9oz. We have been in hospital for over a week as he has jaundice and go for a check up tomorrow as his levels are still quite high. Apart from this worry I'm loving being a new mum.

Not the last one I'm still here.
There was a funny spot on DDs back i saw in the bath and now I'm scared it's chicken pox. I don't know who will be able to look after her if I go into labour & she has chicken pox - and then I think maybe baby isn't coming just because I'm worried about the chicken pox!

i hope your dd doesnt get chicken poxs that all you need rite now!!!

Well looks like another day of nothing happening, i can believe im on day 5 and no lo i know babies come when they are ready and ive only got 9 days at the most but that seems like along longtime!!!!

Is it just you & me left youngmum? I was 8 days late with first and 8 to 10 days late was pretty typical for other people i know who didn't end up being induced. It does feel like a lifetime though.
Good news though the spot on dd has disappeared this morning - i think i am just being paranoid.

i think it is just us left!!!!
Went for a long walk earlier and have had a bit og a show since so least a gud sign not getting my hopes up too much though and have been have loads of bh!!!

No I am still here. Have had a show for two days. Reflexology again. Sweep again tomorrow.

Had a sweep again this morning. Am 2 cm dilated. Hospital appointment on Monday as I will be 41 weeks and they will talk about induction. Here's hoping something happens before that.

good luck for monday emily - 2cm is good though! I think can go up to 42 weeks here before induction - it's a bit annoying they keep on about it when in fact i think a lot of people are 8-10 days over, especially with their first. I'm certainly going to try to put them off inducing right up to the 2 week deadline.
youungmum - what's happening - anything after your show? Nothing for me yet. But didn't have a showast time until 4cm and waters didn't break until 9cm!

I feel so sorry for everyone who's still waiting. I suppose it wouldn't help for me to tell you to spare a thought for elephants who are pregnant for 22 months!! I bet thats what it feels like to you though. I remember being 8 days over with dd (my first)and it just felt like it was never gonna happen.
Don't worry you'll soon be on the post natal thread complaining about sleepless nights.

DS is 4 days old now and currently sleeping in his moses basket while big sis is playing (not very quietly) around him. Am still v. tired but dh is being a perfect house wife so can cope.

Well, BabyRedhead finally arrived. More details in the birth announcement, but it was rather tough so beware! She is absolutely beautiful and her Daddy and I are completely besotted with her. Her name is Phoebe Rosa Gabrielle and she weighed in at 8lb13.5 (4.02 kg).

Good luck to everyone who's still waiting. It is truly the most beautiful thing.

Well, I may be dilated but nothing is happening!

Hi guys

apologies for absence, looks like the period pains did turn into something...Samuel Harry was born at 11.05 pm at home on Thurs 2nd Nov 8lb 8oz.

Doing really well although he doesn't seem to feed much and can't remember that with dd as she was v sucky.

Emily, young mum don't lose heart it is such a psychological game. My waters went at 2pm on Thurs (on the ball - that's where last time) and I thought hurrah we are off and then slowly had these pains then they were lasting 50 secs and 5 mins apart and starting to hurt but I could handle it. Called midwife and both arrived as I thought it was hotting up.......it wasn't I was 3cm and stopped contractions once the midwives walked in (performance anxiety ?. This hapenned to me last time, seemed to take 3 days to get to 3cm. Sent midwives home, had some dinner, sat on the ball, all kicked off and midwife walked back in at 3 mins to 11 and baby born at 5 past. DH only panicking slighltly

My top tips for what they are worth is for god's sake get a good night's sleep if you can as I'd forgotten how it pushes you to your limits. Don't worry about how long you will be in labour as my official time is 1 hour and 5 mins...but they don't count the latent bit, so conceivably I would have been sent home from hospital at 3cm as not in active labour and ended up delivering an hour later somewhere else but not believing it as I have the 1cm hour thing in my head!

Am a week late to day and no signs of anything happening!!!!

Still here too - sweep booked for Tuesday aswell. No signs yet either. It's like groundhog day every day!

thrilled to announce the arrival of Lucy Alice at 22h27 on 27th October. she weighed 3kg650g, measured 51cm and is absolutely perfect.
her mummy on the other hand is feeling less than tip top - we've just come back from hospital (after going in on Thursday 26th) as following my induction I ended up with emergency c-section - which went very well - but then haemorraged and had to go back to theatre. all very scary and will post in more detail on announcements thread when I'm feeling brave enough. I think it will do me good because right now I can't talk about it without bawling my eyes out and I'm not sleeping due to nasty flashbacks of the whole thing.
... but Lucy is being very very kind to her mummy - she just eats and sleeps and smells divine

I am so getting seriously pissed off with people ringing and asking why I haven't had it and will I now have a c-section. I am now refusing to answer the phone and screen all calls.

I've had massive pushing down pains for days, a show and nothing else. I took 2 tablespoons of castor oil today as I am 6 days late. Not even a fart. This baby ain't moving for anyone.

Hospital tomorrow to discuss what will happen next as I've had two sweeps. Looks like induction. Great.

I'm back. Had my gorgeous little boy on fri at 8.17pm! He weighed 8lb 4oz. His name is Kai David. I really cant believe how much I love him already! Cant stop lookin at him! I wont tell the details just yet!
