Hi treacle , bad constipation here also. I had a bleed last wkend (got checked out and all ok), but I'm sure it was through straining (sorry if tmi). Anyway whilst at hospital after scan, the nurse advised me to try novice. She was actually dead against lactose - said it just makes you windy. Goes with what bonzo says too. Smile

DoNotDenyMe · 05/03/2015 23:38

MOVICOL not NOVICE! Grin

Treaclepie19 · 06/03/2015 07:14

That's interesting! I'll get that sorted then :)
Thank you!

Scan this afternoon! Having a panic though as I couldn't find baby with my doppler last night or this morning :( going to try again before we go or I'll be going mental until the scan. Fingers crossed I find he nice and easy next time so at least I know they'll find a heart beat at the scan :/ appointment isn't until 2.30, oh for a morning appointment :/

mrsatkinson · 06/03/2015 07:16

I use Fybogel for constipation, it's not too nasty you just down a quick drink though it is quite bitty.
works good aswell and it's natural which is a bonus for me x

DoctorDonnaNoble · 06/03/2015 07:20

Treaclepie19 · 06/03/2015 07:33

elio lovely pic! 11 days til my scan ahhhh

GoooRooo · 06/03/2015 08:08

Lovely scan Elio!

I'm so glad I had an early scan at 8 weeks. Even the wait from that until 12 weeks has been horrible but at least I've had some reassurance. 12 days until the next one. Tick tock.

mrsdos · 06/03/2015 08:16

Will have to get the laptop out later to look at these scan pics, wish you could see them on the app!
Had the day off yesterday and went and had a rummage in h&m they had a small sale rail and came away with a couple of things... Today I am mainly wearing a maternity dress! Grin

lovesmycake · 06/03/2015 08:18

aww lovely scan elio

kitty hope you don't mind me posting this a friend of mine went through a situation similar to yours and found the ARC Charity to be a massive help www.arc-uk.org/

Treaclepie19 · 06/03/2015 08:23

Lovely elio :)

Just weighed myself. I've lost 6.5lb since finding out I was pregnant. I've got it to lose but hope baby is getting enough nutrition.

SpamAnderson · 06/03/2015 09:19

treacle I'm the same, my mw was pleased ive lost weight but I'm worrying it's due to diabetes or at the detriment of baby :/ ive lost 16lbs now, don't get me wrong, I'm a big girl so there's plenty of padding left, but I'm still concerned :(
Saw a single magpie this morning, grrr. Saw 4 the others robing and got very excited, and now 1, 1 sorrowful magpie! Better not be a bad omen! This time in 5 hours I'll be in the waiting room! 2 cakes to be collected this morning, then off to town before heading to the city :/ will have to treat myself to a McDonald's first though ;)

Treaclepie19 · 06/03/2015 09:35

Good luck today spam :)

My bmi was just teetering on obese. Now its down to overweight again. So I can afford to lose the weight just hope baby is ok.

OP posts:
SpamAnderson · 06/03/2015 10:19

Thanks treacle mine is obese and at the moment it's above 35 so I'm high risk. 9lbs more and I'll no longer be high risk which is fab. Hoping to get another 4 or 5 off over the next month so I'm that much lighter when I see the mw, and hopefully she'll not label me as high risk :) ive refused to be weighed as yet and she said if I lose a bit more, even if I'm still ive 35, I'll be more pregnant so some of it won't be me so fingers crossed :)

Choccyhobnob · 06/03/2015 10:27

elio lovely scan!!

Wish I'd lost some weight but due to having no nausea but being too lightheaded for the gym most of the time I've put on about 8lbs already Sad

Had a panic this morning when I got a text to say my combined results had come back as intermediate risk and to phone them to book a harmony test but I've called them and my risk for Downs is 1:2307 so not much under the 1:2500 for them to offer the free Harmony test. Edwards and Patau she didn't deem worth mentioning as it was 1:12,756.

I'm hoping I'm only slightly higher risk due to my age, she said it was 1:600 for everyone my age (I'm not even 30 yet!!) but had decreased to 2307 based on bloods and scan. I'm putting in perspective as I know people like kitty haven't had such good results Sad

Having bloods for the harmony test next Weds anyway, it's free so I thought why not get a more definitive result.

Treaclepie19 · 06/03/2015 10:32

That's great spam :)

Sorry your results were worrying choccy, like you say though it's such a small chance in the scheme of things.
Hopefully the harmony will put your mind at rest.

It's that long since I last posted I dint realise we had a Facebook group. has anyone got the link to it? x

GoooRooo · 06/03/2015 13:14

To become a member of the Facebook group you need to add me as a friend

www.facebook.com/Sarah.Stimson.nee.Hayman

I'll then add you to the group. You can delete me afterwards!

It's a secret group so none of your friends or family will see that you've beome a member, or that you post in that group which is why getting into it is a bit tricky.

mrsatkinson · 06/03/2015 15:06

I've added you as a friend, last name Atkinson surprisingly! Thank you xx

shinjuku09 · 06/03/2015 15:06

That's great electronic and elio! And sorry if I've missed any other good or bad news. Just scanning through to try to catch up!

Glitterball86 · 06/03/2015 15:12

Lovely to see all the scan pictures so far :)

Just been informed my scan is on 23 March I will be 13 + 4 then but am telling myself there will be so much more to see (to keep myself sane haha)

Kittykitty05 · 06/03/2015 15:35

thank you lovesmycakes I may well look into that, although the hospital have been so supportive and informative, can't fault them at all.

In case anyone else end up having the CVS (we had that instead of amnio in the end) its really not so bad. It's very quick, over and done in 30 seconds, and we were then sat in a quiet room with a cuppa until I felt ready to leave. I've now got tummy ache but thats normal and expected.

I'm now sat on the sofa, feet up and waiter service (DH!). We will find out results Monday or Tuesday but phone, I'm planning on switching my phone off so they call DH, and in the meantime I've put myself in a nice cosy box of denial about possibilities.

mrsdos · 06/03/2015 15:49

kitty thinking of you Thanks

glitter just think there will be less of a wait until 20 week scan!

I went off to work this morning, felt really sick, drank loads of water ate loads of crackers and came home at lunch.. an afternoon of daytime tv seems to be helping, but not sure if I will make to a friends birthday dinner tonight Sad
