I'm so convinced I have a boy now after looking at the scan pics and comparing to all the theories! im so sure I'm even wondering whether it's worth paying for an early sex scan!Hmm don't know if it's just hormones though! I'm getting myself used to the idea though as previously had been sure it was a girlConfused

Sundaysmumisfullofwine · 18/03/2015 18:09

There is a private scanning place 10 mins walk from my house. Am very tempted to have a gender scan this time round

Treaclepie19 · 18/03/2015 18:22

Thanks for the congratulations all :)

Congrats goo and sundays! :)

Looks like I'm the only one with a wonky womb and a tummy lying baby :p

Thank you whoever recommended the book Expecting Better. It is fab. Really finding it interesting.

GoooRooo · 18/03/2015 18:45

I have a wonky womb too Treacle... a tilted uterus

GoooRooo · 18/03/2015 18:46

snowflake I was 100% sure DS was a girl. I didn't find out before the birth. I was so SO shocked when they said 'it's a boy!' It took about 30 seconds of shock and then I was instantly used to the idea - it's amazing how quickly you come to terms with it!

Jessica32 · 18/03/2015 19:04

Congratulations on all the scans, I'm really pleased for you all.

I'm 13+2 and definitely showing, though if you didn't know me I expect you'd think I just had a big tum. I can feel my womb too if I press my tummy. I first felt that last week and liked it.

Sick feeling nearly gone but still sooo tired.

Shinjuku it is an amazing hotel! I'm lucky enough to have stayed twice. However I would like to point out there were special circumstances and that this is definitely not my normal standard of accommodation! Mores the pity!

Becca83 · 18/03/2015 19:06

Another one with a wonky womb here. Inverted uterus.

Congratulations on everyone's scans. I can't stop staring at mine. 7 weeks to wait til the next one!

Treaclepie19 · 18/03/2015 19:09

Sorry ladies i was just being flippant. They didnt say anything to me, just mean that the pic makes it look odd. It's that lump that I find a bit strange.
You get the image of the "traditional" scan pic with a nice oval shaped womb and baby lying in the middle in you're head don't you :p

I too feel unpregnant! I am one of those incredibly fortunate people to not feel nauseous. I am knackered, but that can be down to a stupidly active 18mo.

No bump yet, but cakebloat is markedly larger and I've gained a pound since Jan. This not drinking malarkey is rather handy for weight maintaining!

Also found out today that my SBILand SSILhad a little baby boy yesterday! Squish!

Jessica32 · 18/03/2015 19:23

Bipp never mind a pound, I've put on 3 kilos in that time. Does seem to be slowing down now though and my appetite is more regular, no crisps cravings! Generally I'm not a picker at all.

sauvblanc21 · 18/03/2015 19:33

I've got a weird combo going on - big ol' belly that won't fit into my trousers at the end of the day BUT found out at Monday's scan that I've lost half a stone! Probably from not having any supper for about 5 weeks due to nausea (and a lack of my beloved Sauv Blanc is probably helping too!). Can only assume big belly is all bloat cos little'un is only egg sized! Xx

Treaclepie19 · 18/03/2015 20:14

Talking about maternity clothes making you look bigger (and bloated evening bump)
Here's mine...

Exhausted.com DS has an ear infection Sad poor monkey in awful pain but thankfully our doc surgery are really good when it comes to kids - called at 5.45pm and saw Dr at 5.55pm. Amazing really, we're so lucky to have the NHS.
DS currently having a whale of a time in bath then once he's in bed i have to do washing and dishes - and all i want to do is sleep! Sorry for the moan, all i seem to do at the moment!
Had my 16wkw appt this Friday but ive realised i won't even be 15wks by then duhh so have changed it to the 27th. Whilst tempting to go anyway it would just mean a longer wait to the next appt and don't want that

misssmilla1 · 18/03/2015 21:24

Nice pic treacle! Currently sat at work and just looked in the mirror and the top of my stomach is huge! Having trouble sitting down and breathing as the waistband on my dress is digging in unless I hoike up up to my bra band (oh, the glamour...)

Probably won't get more than another week's wear out of this until it's consigned to the post pregnancy pile, which is an odd thought. Feels a bit real now!

Jessica32 · 18/03/2015 21:37

Sauv I'm very bloated too though always a bit that way even when not pregnant. Think it's a bit better than it was a week ago though. Baby may be size of an egg but your womb will be about the size of a small melon apparently. That would make a difference.

sauvblanc21 · 18/03/2015 21:51

Same here Jessica, I always carry a bit of annoying bloat/little tum even before baby - ooo yes melon womb, that'll explain my growing bulge!

Milla I was just thinking the same thing about my work trousers - I will be kissing them goodbye at the Easter hols (just over a week away) and won't use them again until end of maternity leave....weird! Xx

monkeymoonpig · 18/03/2015 22:23

Omg im such an idiot. For some reason i thought i was 14wks but am in fact 15wks - so ive cancelled a perfectly good mw appt on Friday for no reason :-( will have to call docs tomorrow grovelling and hope there is still space left Sad

ambientolf · 18/03/2015 22:29

monkey baby brain already Grin

amusville · 18/03/2015 22:33

I wouldn't worry monkey I'm sure they will understand and sort something out for you. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate!

sauvblanc21 · 18/03/2015 22:34

Oh no monkey! Bet it happens all the time! Fingers crossed!

sauvblanc21 · 18/03/2015 22:35

Out of interest monkey, when did you schedule your 16 wk midwife appt? After 12 wk scan? And did you phone them or did they contact you? Nor sure if I should be doing something or not! Ta! Xx

monkeymoonpig · 18/03/2015 22:55

The receptionists in the morning are usually more helpful than the ones in the afternoon so fingers crossed! sauvblanc I have the choice of Tuesday appts at local MLU hospital or Friday appts at docs surgery (which is free to park so prefer to go there), i rang them on Monday to make a same week appt. I always assume they'll not make contact so just ring first!
Not end of world if no appts, sure going at 16-17wks rather than 15-16wks isnt too bad. Just cant believe how crap i am this time round, i always knew to the day how far gone i was with DS! Suppose i didnt have a toddler to worry about/entertain/adore then tho! Lol

Treaclepie19 · 18/03/2015 23:09

I have to ring to schedule my 16 week appointment too sauv.
Think I'll do it tomorrow.

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 19/03/2015 01:46

My '16-week' appt is actually at 18 weeks, so I wouldn't worry too much if they cant reschedule.Monkey
