Hello All

Hope I am correct in beginning a thread for July 07. BFP today (23rd October) and EDD 2nd July 07.

By way of a brief introduction; live in the South West, work part-time, have DD aged 5 and DS who is almost 3. Have been incredibly lucky this time as made decision to try for third and hey presto seem to have achieved it on first attempt (much to DH disappointment if you know what I mean!!).

Look forward to 'meeting' you and sharing this amazing experience with you.

I too was around on the august 05!!! boards didn't post much just lurked but my name wasn't nursey then!!!! dd is 15 months and i'm sure she'll cope....23 months old she'll be fime [hopeful emoticon]

welcome again to all the newbies, sticky baby dust in all directions

As for morning sickness keeping blood sugar constant worked (eventally) for me that and tonic water (minus the gin )

plummymummy · 13/11/2006 22:30

You could be right about the nerves affecting the tummy Pookey. Thought it was funny how you welcomed the 'mewcomers' Bodkin, then Miaou came on the thread . Congrats to all with BFPs. I discovered Mumsnet after having ds so looking forward to following an antenatal thread for a change. New symptoms = blue veins on bosom, headaches and slight acid reflux. Also blood pressure lower than usual, pulse higher. Not missing taste of alcohol (just the effect!).Know what you mean when you say how much effort it takes to keep it quiet. Told my best mate as we are going out on friday and she knows pregnancy is the only thing that would lead me not to drink!

plummymummy · 13/11/2006 22:34

sickybump I used to get sickness in the evening. I got it once when I had to get up extra early and vomitted at Gatwick Airport. Anyway, I figured out that my nausea was linked to tiredness. Are you getting enough sleep?

flopflip · 14/11/2006 08:08

Morning all. Hope everybody is well. Woke up this morning with nausea and feeling generally crap. Quite pleased to have a slight symptoms. Welcome to all new bfp's.

Bodkin · 14/11/2006 08:36

Hi everyone. Just about to launch in to a bit of blurb but dd has just informed me she needs a poo. Will come back later!

Bodkin · 14/11/2006 10:54

Don't worry, she hasn't been pooing for 2 hours. Just got sidetracked that's all.

Had a very large vegetable curry last night, followed by assorted snacks at a friends house, and by the time I went to bed I looked 6 months gone!!! Back to normal this morning though - phew.

Think the nesting instinct has kicked in already! Can't stop writing lists of things to do to get house up to scratch before new arrival!!!

Nice to hear so many of you are old chums from August '05. I am relatively new to MN but am lovin' it.

Re. washable nappies. Was pretty good with them for DD first time round (she's dry in the day and nearly dry at night now ,hooray) , hope I can remain as virtuous with No.2 Am liking the Minki nappies at the moment. Anyone else a fan?

Tutter - glad to hear everythings ok.

Tutter · 14/11/2006 12:05

undergroundernie - i think i too ov'd around 29/30 oct. 1st day of LMP was oct 15th which makes me EDD july 22nd - yours must be similar

(still no more bleeding - fingers still crossed)

cazzybabs · 14/11/2006 12:46

Ohh and me - I think my LMP was 14th due date 21 July. OH god damn it my child will be so young in his/her year.

justbeme · 14/11/2006 14:05

hi again everybody - feeling really lethargic today - cant be bothered to do much at all (nothing new there i hear some say! )
feelin abit sicky as well and also suffering from mild indigestion/acid . ive told my dp that he's got to put up with all these moans for the next 8 plus months or so! lol
will be 7.5 weeks tomorrow - so past my last 2 mc dates - the latest i mc was i think at about 11 weeks - so still holding my breath - when do you all intend officially "coming out "to for example your workplace?

earlyriser · 14/11/2006 14:33

Hi there, glad to hear someone else has got the nesting instinct, i thought it was just me going housework crazy (that used to be one of my few pmt symptoms so was slightly worried). I use bumble nappies which i love, used the bimble when dd was smaller but had to use disps for the frst few weeks as i couldn't get real nappies small enough. Even terries engulfed her and left her looking like a weeble! Fingers crossed for you tutter.

Mumpbump · 14/11/2006 15:42

I've got nesting instinct too! Have been sorting out our mess of a house post-builders so it's very productive for me!!

Bodkin · 14/11/2006 15:51

Its quite nice to feel spuured on to get jobs crossed off the list isn't it? There's loads of things I've been meaning to do for ages but been too much of a lazybones to get stuck in. If I carry on at this rate I should have the whole house redecorated by July

abgirl · 14/11/2006 15:55

justbeme, I have already told my line manager as will need time off for consultant's appointments etc but not going to tell anyone else officially until after christmas. Think some will guess when they see I'm not drinking at the christmas dinner though!!

swift1 · 14/11/2006 15:56

I definately do not have the nesting instinct - just the eating instinct. MY god I am hungry ALL the time .

I woke up so hungry this morning that I had 5 weetabix for bfast. Well i had 3 and was still hungry so thought it better to fill up on bfast than eat junk so I had another two.... Then at about 10am I had a tim of pineapple chunks, then for lunch a ham and cucumber sarnie and an apple.

It was all going so well till i went to my mums. 2 cups of tea , a can of coke, a twix, two mini rolls, and about 10 custard creams later and my jeans are uncomfortable!!! Im going to be massive I know it. I do try to be good but then the hunger comes on so suddenly that I have to eat whatever is at hand - junk usually.

swift1 · 14/11/2006 15:57

oh and a packet of crisps

dewmeadow · 14/11/2006 16:38

hi everyone!! Just had a positive test yesterday, which works out the end of July sometime I think. We werent actively trying, but not NOT, IYSWIM! So not totally sure what dates are. I have a DD who will be 3 in 2 weeks and a DS who is 8 months.

V pleased, but a bit superstitious about discussing it as its SO early! However, the lure of another MN thread is too much and here I am.

was suspicious last week when suddenly startd being so sleepy. Then yesterday felt nausous in the morning which was v like other prenancies. Have had loads of cramps, so thought Af was coming.

jennster · 14/11/2006 16:55

Hi Dewmeadow. Looks like there are a few of us with littlies. DD will be 18 months when bump is born. I've just woken up from afternoon nap with her, and feel like I could do with another hour or so.

I'm not going to tell work, although I'm sure they might have already guessed the way I nearly barfed last thursday night, then went out for some food and came back with a steak and kidney pie and a packet of crisps. So unlike me. Our Christmas party is in a restaurant in the village where I work, so have an excuse to drive home. Placenta brain is already rearing it's head though. They know we were keen for another and stupidly pointed out they would be able to tell because I would start doing weird things.

Evening everybody - this thread is really taking off isn't it. Need a roll call of sorts because I can't keep track - of anything apparently. Got 3 keys cut today because I've locked myself and the kids out of the house twice in 5 days!! Also thought I'd booked half term break in a cottage in Feb in Yorkshire Dales...wrong it's the other cottage in the North Yorks Moors. Still nice though! Starting to feel queasy now getting worse throught he day and v.v. tired. But happy! Miaou - saw this is your 4th too - how old are your other children?? Off for bathtime now - just had supper and feeling really fat. Only 6 wks and my tummy looks really bloated in the eve.

Cakehead · 14/11/2006 19:50

Bleurgh. Ate lasagna and garlic bread for tea, and now REALLY wish I hadn't had the garlic. Feeling very queasy. Totally bizarre, with DD all the sickness was first thing in the morning; now it's evening sickness instead.

Am going to retire to bed and watch I'm a Celebrity in a short while. Hope everyone else is feeling more perky than me...

plummymummy · 14/11/2006 20:40

cakehead I got evening sickness with ds - maybe it's a boy this time!

Miaou · 14/11/2006 22:26

Argh - just did a long post then deleted it

I have started a stats thread here for us to add our stats to, so we can refer to it!

Earthtomummy - I've got dd1(9), dd2(8) and ds(15m) - so it will be two and two

cazzybabs · 14/11/2006 22:37

dewmeadow · 15/11/2006 09:23
