Hello All

Hope I am correct in beginning a thread for July 07. BFP today (23rd October) and EDD 2nd July 07.

By way of a brief introduction; live in the South West, work part-time, have DD aged 5 and DS who is almost 3. Have been incredibly lucky this time as made decision to try for third and hey presto seem to have achieved it on first attempt (much to DH disappointment if you know what I mean!!).

Look forward to 'meeting' you and sharing this amazing experience with you.

Well it was not my finest hour last night, was rushing downstairs to get pyjamas for DS, my heel got caught in my trousers and I managed to slip downstairs. Luckily our stairs are a kind of half and half arrangement so didn't fall that far and other than a wrenched shoulder and some carpet burns on my feet, all seems well - was scary though and am going to try and stop rushing around from now on...

DS then woke up at 11 and cried until 2.30 in the morning and I am driving to Bristol after work tonight for a meeting tomorrow - so much for getting plenty of rest and early nights! Hoping to have a bit of a lie in at the hotel tomorrow morning as long as the morning sickness/hunger doesn't strike at bang on 7am (which it has done for the last few days...)

Hope you're all well.

Groveregg · 15/11/2006 09:50

Hi, well I think I can officially join this thread now as I've done another test this morning. Bit confused as the line is very faint again; in the end I put another test under the tap just to see what a definite negative looked like!!! With my ds it was really strong within about 10 seconds - at about 4 weeks which is what I think I am now. I wonder why it's different this time...anyone else experienced this?

Anyway definitely feeling sicky most of the time (wasn't with ds until about 6 weeks in) and smelling odd things, tired and suddenly got no patience whatsoever so I reckon that is far more certain than any silly faint line!

I will fill in the stats when I've been to the doctor's later and I've got a due date.

Bodkin · 15/11/2006 12:19

Have just been checking up on our old chums over on Hoping For Positive November - 2 more BFPs coming over - so budge up and make some more room!

Hope everyone else is well this morning and managing to keep the nausea at bay.

cazzybabs · 15/11/2006 12:55

OHH am quiet jealous of all you with symptoms!!! Mind you suppose I am only 4 and a littl bit weeks. I still cannot belive it - am looking forward to the 1st scan (should it make it that far) when I all becomes believable and you can tell people!

Cakehead · 15/11/2006 13:00

Ouch, Abgirl, that's not good. I'm ultra-clumsy at the moment too - pouring milk over the edge of my cup, dropping things on the floor, falling over myself, generally making a mess.
And so much for my early night last night. DD waking every twenty minutes, grumbling. In the end I sat up and watched a film, and then couldn't get to sleep at all. Bah!

saf1 · 15/11/2006 13:03

Hi all,
Have added my stats too.

I'm 5 weeks yesterday and as yet have had no symptoms which I had very early on with other 2.

Had horrible stomach bug yesterday and couldn't eat a thing so I'm starving today

Anyway glad all are well and babydust to all

abgirl · 15/11/2006 13:22

Thanks for the sympathy Cakehead! Baby brain is definitely starting to take effect again, luckily my DS was there to pat me sympathetically as I sat there sobbing and then offered me a little people person, is his most precious toy atm so should feel privileged really .

Welcome to all those who've had recent BFPs!!

Groveregg · 15/11/2006 13:25

Wow Saf1 just seen your stats, whereabouts in Bristol are you? I live in Long Ashton.

There do seem to be loads of us on this thread! Do you think there is a big boom at the moment? I heard recently that if you ring up the delivery suite at our local hospital (St. Michael's) when you have gone into labour there is a chance that you will be sent somewhere else as they cannot cope with all the babies at the moment. Scary thought.

saf1 · 15/11/2006 13:47

Grovergirl- I live in Fishponds.

Yes that is true about St Michaels which is why I opted for Southmead 1st time and home birth 2nd time.

Southmead was lovely and I had a fantastic birth only stayed in for a few hours after delivery and went home.

Have heard lots of horror stories about St Mikes as they are SOOO busy.

You might want to consider the Mead.

Will defo go for home birth this time round also

saf1 · 15/11/2006 13:47

saf1 · 15/11/2006 13:48

BigCookLittleCook · 15/11/2006 13:59

Hello my AF is due today, it will probably arrive but fingers crossed not. Just been having a read of the thread to get myself up to speed. Hope to join you all soon.

saf1 · 15/11/2006 15:19

Bodkin; Wow you've told your DD already.. I wasnt sure when to tell my little lot but think I might wait until Christmas but I don't know?

Nearly let it slip out a few times at work today had to tell my boss due to work health and safety issues and she was surprisingly fab

Bigcooklittlecook; Fingers crossed hun

Cakehead · 15/11/2006 15:36

My DD was due at the start of September and my local hospital (Epsom) warned me of the same thing. They said early Sept was a boom-time, as all the babies turned up after the drunken Christman parties. And the day she arrived, which was August Bank Holiday, the delivery rooms got completely full, but luckily we were first in!

(And yes, she was a Christmas party baby too, but a deliberate one. We still thank our neighbours, who held the very rowdy party. They love the fact that they played a small part in the whole thing.)

earthtomummy · 15/11/2006 19:21

When my 2nd baby was born everyone at the delivery suite thought she was a World Cup baby...soon put them right about that!

Miaou · 15/11/2006 19:33

We've told our dds too (they are 9 and 8) - they are very excited! Dd2 wanted to know when we had the "special cuddle" and dd1 asked when I was going to get sick - they remember it well from when I had ds!

dorisofdevon · 15/11/2006 19:51

Hi all, got fed up not being evil at all so have changed my name, much less occupational (i hope)

Anyway have added my stats to the list really is growing isn't it !!!

Still can't decide when to tell the boss or see the doc, basically one equals the other, because as soon as I'm seen a signal (military message system) is sent to tell the world i'm no longer fully fit and the code = pregnant so every one who reads it will know and it's still too early yet!!!

still no symptoms to hide as yet, fingers crossed could be like this all the way through

preggie pops all round to those who need them
x

Hello everybody and hello also to new pg's. This thread is great and the stats list is even better as I can imagine everybody now.

My pregnancy symptoms are now arriving, absoloutly bloody knackered, queasy and headaches, but at least now I feel pregnant.

Sounds like everybody else is starting to feel the same. Nursenotsoevil, now dorisofdevon !! You make me lol. But being one myself I know that all nurses are evil really.

Anyway, hope everybody sleeps well.

emmyb · 15/11/2006 20:32

Hiya finally decided to join the chat as have been reading this thread for a while to try and understand the lingo!!! Bit worried that i may become addicted though.

Very happy to be due baby no. 2 DD is 3 and gorgeous. DH is great and looks after me v v well. Cooking teas at the mo as too knackered to move after work.

Hope everyone is ok.

flopflip · 15/11/2006 20:35

hello emmyb

flopflip · 15/11/2006 20:37

Emmyb, where in Lancs are you, as just about to move to Burnley in 2wks. Anywhere near?

emmyb · 15/11/2006 20:39

not really that near I am near wigan but planning to have baby at Ormskirk as its where I went last time.

flopflip · 15/11/2006 20:48

Lancashire is quite a large county. We are hopefully planning to move out towards Harrogate after xmas, so god knows where I will pop. The Burnley thing is temporary.
Anybody else having a severe problem with spelling??
