Hello All

Hope I am correct in beginning a thread for July 07. BFP today (23rd October) and EDD 2nd July 07.

By way of a brief introduction; live in the South West, work part-time, have DD aged 5 and DS who is almost 3. Have been incredibly lucky this time as made decision to try for third and hey presto seem to have achieved it on first attempt (much to DH disappointment if you know what I mean!!).

Look forward to 'meeting' you and sharing this amazing experience with you.

Newlywedwonder - I came off pill in July and my DH and I weren't really trying too hard and it just happened. Just keep doing the tests if you still haven't come on yet. I did 3 before a positive! Good luck

helenmumof2 · 08/11/2006 12:26

i had my mum and dad round for tea last night and i think they must be phsycic! i must have been being really dippy and forgetful (same as last 2 pg) because just before they left dad turned round and said if i didn't know better i'd think you had placenta brain again and gave me a look. They have so got me sussed and there was me thinking it would be a huge shock to them as i'd sold all my baby stuff and said we weren't having anymore
how is everyone today?

Mumpbump · 08/11/2006 12:39

Hiya HM2. It's amazing how it affects you, isn't it? I also feel like my brain has already gone soggy. Probably 'cos I'm still suffering the effects of ds1!! I seem to have terrible indigestion with this one - thought I had the starts of a stomach ulcer last week, but I guess it's probably just pregancy related and I'll have to modify my diet. Other than that, actually feeling reasonably upbeat, only experiencing mild nausea and not feeling too tired at all today...

Mumpbump · 08/11/2006 12:41

Licklerach - I told my workplace really early last time because someone else had just quit and I wanted them to have as much time as possible to sort out their personnel issues. It was all done on the basis that it was tentative and nothing would be definite until I made it through the first trimester. I'm not telling them this time until after 12 weeks though in case I have another m/c.

Aslarry · 08/11/2006 12:59

Hello all - hoping that I'm not tempting fate by posting here but am very excited, so here goes. I got a BFP on monday night (following a year ttc with mc at 6wks 6 months ago) and the calculators say I'm due 14 July. I'm halfway between ecstatic and scared. I've got a daughter (2yrs) and I'd love to have another. Just keep stressing about another early mc but figure 'que sera, sera' to try and remain calm and happy! Keeping my fingers crossed for plain sailing for all of us.

Hi all. Haven't had time to read thread from the start, but scrolled through and recognised a few names from Positive October thread (didn't start posting 'til Pos. Nov.) Got bfp yesterday and v. v. chuffed, as is DP. Been trying for 5 months. Have DD age 2.10. We live in Dorset.

EDD is July 15th - looks great seeing it written down! Trying to keep my head and not get over excited so early, but what the hell. Might as well enjoy the moment and worry about problems if they happen.

Looking forward to chatting to you all over the next eight months!!!!

justbeme · 08/11/2006 16:58

Hi there, i may be being thick but try as i might i can't work out what BFP is, i asked DP (with no context) and he said 'bloody fat pigs', which i guess is how we might feel in 9 months time I had a positive result yesterday and went to docs today, think he was surprised i'd gone so early but v excited, although trying to rein it in just in case... I've a one year old and edd is 16th july (btw it is 40 weeks from date of start of last period Kyte). Good luck all

Cakehead · 08/11/2006 18:20

BFP - Big Fat Positive, so your DP was nearly right... The pig bit comes later, I'm eating like a horse at the moment.

And there's lots of due date calculators on the web. If you go to google and type 'calculate baby due date' some come up. Or you count on 40 weeks from the first day of your last period, I think...

Bodkin · 08/11/2006 18:21

Hi Earlyriser - BFP is Big Fat Postive.

Kyte - my flabber is well and truly ghasted that you are a priest! Would think/hope the hypocratic (sp?) oath applies to receptionists too?

You can also use an on-line due date calculator - type it in to Google and a few should come up.

Bodkin · 08/11/2006 18:21

Cakehead - identical cross posts! Are we in fact the same person!!!

took a week after period was due to get my bfp after 4 neg tests so dont worry if you think you are but tests say otherwise.!

nursenotreallyevilatall · 08/11/2006 21:50

Hi to all the new girls,

Kyte, you don't need to tell the receptionist what's wrong when you book in if they really want to know 'women's troubles' covers sooo much! It's not really an untruth is it!?!

seriously it shouldn't stop you getting any care you need....as for borat LOL

Maybe it's something about Borat - my husband and I had a 'romantic' night out at the pictures (he as disappointed Bond wasn't out but Borat was laugh out loud funny so not a bad trade in!)

Cyee · 09/11/2006 12:44

Hello everyone,
I have been a lurker on the ttc boards, but am 'coming out' on the antenatal board
Got BFP last Monday. So EDD 9/7. First one for me, so being slightly obsessive about finding everything out. No major symptoms yet. Just very tender boobs, feel a bit bloated (convincing myself I am actually 4 months pregs and/or having twins!), and occasional fleeting nausea/hunger. Things still feel so precarious at this stage don't they?
Going to set up docs appointment today and hoping against hope to get scan before Christmas.
Wishing you all health, happiness and sticky baby dust

Cakehead · 09/11/2006 13:21

Hi Cyee, nice to have you on the thread. How is everyone else doing? Am feeling more tired than anything else. Just managed to fall asleep in my chair after lunch, but is OK, as am at home today - not in the office...

earlyriser · 09/11/2006 13:40

Hi all, still don't 'feel' pregnant, lots of cramping which i don't recall last time, good to hear that it is perfectly normal. Keep checking my pants every time i feel a tickle tho!! Don't remember doing that either, think i took the faint line very much for granted first time but seem to be less convinced, wonder why that is?! Very very hungry (or is that just my excuse for overeating. Hope all else not suffering too much either.

Cakehead · 09/11/2006 13:44

Earlyriser, I'm absolutely ravenous. Go from 'not hungry' to 'desperate to eat' in a heartbeat. And yes, crampy feelings do make you feel a bit twitchy, don't they?

Mumpbump · 09/11/2006 14:02

Hiya all! Made myself some porridge for breakfast today, but was still hungry after I'd eaten it... Fortunately, I was saved by a Cadbury's chocolate promotion at London Bridge station!

earlyriser · 09/11/2006 14:11

I know cakehead, think because i'm a SAHM and have easy access to the kitchen am eating way more than is normal Twitchy because period was nearly 2 weeks late last month even tho preg test was neg then and pos now i keep thinking my period is still going to come. Still can't help being excited. Has it sunk in with everyone yet?
