Hello All

Hope I am correct in beginning a thread for July 07. BFP today (23rd October) and EDD 2nd July 07.

By way of a brief introduction; live in the South West, work part-time, have DD aged 5 and DS who is almost 3. Have been incredibly lucky this time as made decision to try for third and hey presto seem to have achieved it on first attempt (much to DH disappointment if you know what I mean!!).

Look forward to 'meeting' you and sharing this amazing experience with you.

Hi there,

I'm very happy to find this thread/forum! I got my BFP on Tuesday and I am apparently due around July 8 '07. I am 35yrs and this is the first child for me and my DH. We are very excited. I'm feeling very tired and bloated though! Anyways, I look forward to hearing your collective stories/advice and I hope to be able to contribute some of my own. Cheers,

Hi. RH it is a quandary about the tests, isn't it. I never had any screening with the 1st 2 and won't this time either (I'm 36.5), although I have considered a nuchal fold scan. This is because if there was a problem I wouldn't do anything other than continue the pregnancy. Personally I would rather enjoy this time (my last pregnancy I think) than be aware of potential diffs. I do know at least 3 women who were told they were likely to have babies with enormous disabilities / diffs. only to give birth to healthy babies. My eldest (my DS) has Aspergers (albeit on the mild end) and I suppose I am sort of preparing for the idea that this could be an issue - esp. if we have a boy - my other 2 are girls and are not on the autisitc spectrum at all. The paed. said the chances are high-ish, but obv. they can't screen for it. I suppose everyone has a diff. take because it is such a personal choice, but, I think a tough one.
Flopflip our BFs ahave just started IVF. I did tell her we were trying for another and she was really nice. Not sure when to tell her its on its way though because they are staying this w/e and she'll notice I'm not drinking..what are you going to do?
Greycakes, congrats!!

earthtomummy · 06/11/2006 13:11

Sorry - bit poor - Greyclay I meant! See what I'm thinking about...!

nurseevil · 06/11/2006 16:45

Hello,

I've just had a BFP this morning so thought I'd join a forum early this time ( Have dd who is 15 months ) Am still in shock tbh been 'not' trying for a while (didn't want to get my hopes up each month but happened anyway). Bought preg test yesterday thinking bit but give it a try and..... DH went to work in a state of shock was a bit worried about him driving

Doesn't feel real at the mo.....no real symptoms just the same kind of aches as last time, thank god no nausea yet ( hospitalised x3 previously) hoping for symptom free preg (don't we all!!??!!)

good luck to all

helenmumof2 · 06/11/2006 17:36

hello everyone
my 3rd is due on 08/07/07 and i can't believe how quickly it happened (1st month) my dh is totally gutted as he was looking forward to a few months of 'early nights' but not the kind i am having at the moment, bath and bed by 9.30. Does anyone else feel totally exhausted?
i am also really paranoid this time although last 2 pregnancys were fine, i feel as if i am pushing my luck going for 3 when i have 2 healthy dds.
Dh and i also decided we would only have 2 and got rid of all baby stuff etc. then both got a bit broody. This will be a major shock to everyone when i tell them as they are convinced i wasn't having anymore.
dd1 is 4
dd2 is2.5
i am 27 dh is 31

earthtomummy · 06/11/2006 18:48

Hi Nurse and Helen and congrats. Know what you mean about pushing your luck - I felt like that with no.3 but strangely not now with no.4. It's great having 3. i'm going to bed reallyt early too at 9, but falling asleep on the sofa at 8!Really sociable and fun.

helenmumof2 · 06/11/2006 21:05

it's really nice to have people to chat to who are in the same position especially when it is to early to tell all your nearest and dearest.
dd1 watched a program about babies being born and wanted to know the details of her own birth, she then turned round and said
"if i came out of your tummy mummy does that mean emma came out of daddys?"
i think both dds will be really excited this time round. when i was pregnant with dd2 dd1 was too young to really remember, so i'm sure her nursery class will get all the details on this one

justbeme · 06/11/2006 21:45

Hi everybody - i think i can join this thread - as i'll be 6 weeks this wednesday? would that make me a July Ed? I havent worked it out yet - but was seen last week at St Marys hospital in Paddington recurrent miscarriage clinic.
I m 38 (ouch!) my dp is 46 (double ouch!) and I have an 11 yr old DD. Since having her Ive had 4 miscarriages. The last 2 were at 6 1/2 weeks so the next week or so is going to be quite worrying. I havent been keeping check on my period dates as this was a complete surprise and the result of 1 drunken nights fun!!

helenmumof2 · 06/11/2006 21:47

hi justbeme i hope everything goes all right for you this time.

Mumpbump · 07/11/2006 10:07

Hello! Just got a bfp last night and will be 5 weeks tomorrow! Due date seems to be 11 July according to the internet pregnancy calculators. I already have a gorgeous ds who is 9mo and 2 dsc who are 9 and 12. Keeping my fingers crossed as I had a m/c about 6-8 weeks ago, so a bit nervous about it happening again...

Newlywedwonder · 07/11/2006 10:56

Hi All,

I may be a bit premature in joining this thread but fingers crossed.

My DH and I have been trying to conceive since Aug 06 and I have been having regular 28 day cycles since coming off the depo injection in July 06.

My AF was due on Sunday 5th, but she hasn't shown up as yet. I had an awful headache pretty much all day yesterday and it's still 'hanging around' today - but not as bad. I've been feeling AF type cramps/twinges on and off since Sunday but there's been no sign.

What I would really like to know is how long do you think that I should leave it until I test?

I'm all confused as this is all new to me

Mumpbump · 07/11/2006 11:36

You might do better to ask on one of the ttc threads - there is a new one for December. The clear blue test I did suggests testing and if you get a negative then testing at three day intervals. HTH.

flopflip · 07/11/2006 11:58

Hello everybody. Hope all are well and still hanging in there. This is such a stressful time, as it seems that a few of us have had m/c before. I feel that I am just willing that 12wk scan to be here sooner !!

Earthtomummy, I have decided I am going to tell her. My only fear is that she will think i have used up all the luck, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, still don't feel very pg, apart from a huge appetite !!

earthtomummy · 07/11/2006 13:52

Hi all. Mumpbump, I think if all goes to plan this one is due 11/7 aswell! I can't wait to be able to tell my children about this one at 12 wks. Ds is 5, DD is 3 and the other DD is only 20 mos, but I think that DS def. will grasp what's going on and DD at 3.5 hopefully will a bit too. In my prev. pregnancies they were too young.

Mumpbump · 07/11/2006 14:09

If this one stays, I think I will be picking your brains closer to the due date, earthtomummy, for suggestions as to how to explain to a young toddler!!! You obviously have a lot of experience in that department...

LickleRach · 07/11/2006 16:31

Hello

Had BFP earlier last week so my due date will be July sometime too. DH thinks we should wait until the 'safe' 12 weeks before telling anyone. I'm so tired all the time though its starting to affect my job. Plus the cramps etc its all too much!!!! When do you tell your boss? Don't want to lie and pretend its something else as have good relationship with her..any advice?

LickleRach · 07/11/2006 16:39

sorry...this will be my first baby and I am panicking about everything! Reading so much on here has really helped but there are still questions...lots! TIA

earthtomummy · 07/11/2006 17:06

Lickle Rach, congrats! I told my boss q. early on in my 1st and 2nd pgs. By the time I was 20 wks with no.2 I stopped working. My job involved a lot of contact often 1:1 with sometimes aggressive/volatile people though. But at leAWST she knew why I was under the weather and not q. up to scratch with work!

pookey · 07/11/2006 19:41

Newlywedwonder you can do the test once your period is due! Would that make your baby a July baby? Hopefully see you on here again soon if so

emma1277 · 07/11/2006 19:56

hi, have just found out i'm pregnant with second baby. (1st was 2 last month)so am due 12/7 I'm rhesus negative so do i have to see a doctor sooner help!

Cakehead · 07/11/2006 20:44

Hi there, hello new people!
Threw up my breakfast for the first time this morning, which in a bizarre way I was pleased about. With DD I was sick most mornings from 6-16 weeks. I'm now in week 7 and was starting to wonder why I felt OK. Now at least everything feels more 'normal'. Poor DD, only 14 months, tugging on mummy's leg in the loo! And yes, feeling very tired too. In fact, had late night last night and seem to recall the sickness was worse when I'd not had enough sleep. Hope everyone else is feeling OK. I've got my scan date through for 14th December, which means we should be able to go public for Christmas...

nurseevil · 07/11/2006 21:26

Cakehead what a great Christmas present, at this stage the best bit is telling people ( forget the cramps nausea and general malaise)

Really nice to see so many people on here so quickly, I've still got no real symptoms but not looking forward to them as i work in a busy hospital, might be fighting patients for the vom bowls not that i'm worried or anything !!last time had a fairly sedentary job in my own office where i could close the door on the world [wistful]

As for telling people, work wise i think I managed to last until 10 weeks before talking to my boss who was a good friend, I'm just rubbish at keeping exciting secrets....{big grin] already told my mum this time!!!

Good luck to all and keep everything crossed

flopflip · 08/11/2006 06:55

When I was pg with dd1, I too worked in a big hospital. I used to have serious conversations with managers and feel her doing somersaults, bizarre feeling.

Hope everybody is ok.

LickleRach · 08/11/2006 10:17

Thanks earthtomummy....its hard to know the right time! But I think I'll follow your advice and do it sooner rather than later. Can't believe so many people already on here for July 07! It's exciting. Hope everyone is keeping well. Its comforting to know that when I've got bad ms and feel v.tired there's loads of you out there feeling the same
