Hello All

Hope I am correct in beginning a thread for July 07. BFP today (23rd October) and EDD 2nd July 07.

By way of a brief introduction; live in the South West, work part-time, have DD aged 5 and DS who is almost 3. Have been incredibly lucky this time as made decision to try for third and hey presto seem to have achieved it on first attempt (much to DH disappointment if you know what I mean!!).

Look forward to 'meeting' you and sharing this amazing experience with you.

Abgirl, that list is great, reminds me a bit of school exam results, and I am near the top which is the first time ever !!

mumpbump, hope the bleeding is ok, also know a few people who this happened to who had normal pregnancies.

I have been getting really bloated the last few days, have been eating an awful lot of shreddies as dd now has them for breakfast, maybe related, who knows.

hope everybody has a great weekend, won't be posting as have busy weekend.

abgirl · 24/11/2006 14:04

Flipflop, funnily enough I work for an examinations awarding body so I guess it is appropriate that I am keeping this list!

Mumpbump, am keeping my fingers crossed for you...

Chooster · 24/11/2006 14:04

Good luck with your scan mumpbump...

So.... {just to come back to Bodkin's dates again}, if she's 6.1 with an EDD of 15th July, can I be 6 weeks with an EDD of 20th July... Am sure it has to do with cycle lengths but am confused (to be honest if always struggled with pregnancy calendars)

Bodkin · 24/11/2006 14:38

Thanks Chooster and Firstar for scratching your heads on my dates - Chooster it doesn't seem quite right that although we got AF 1 day apart our EDDs are quite different, but I guess it is not really down to AF but OV date, and if I ov'd on day 10 and you didn't OV until, say, day 14, that would explain the discrepancy, or does it? [puzzled emoticon]

Mumpbump, hope all is well.

Well done Abgirl, the list is great, I'm well impressed you had the energy / concentration for that!

Bodkin · 24/11/2006 17:16

Well, by my reckoning, you count from the first day of your last period, which was 12th Oct, so that makes me 6 + 1 definitely. As for the EDD, I guess all will become clear after scan.

Just popped in to DP's workshop on the way back from supermarket looking like a v. harrassed frumpy mum, only to find he has some gorgeous scandinavian chick in there admiring his work (he's a sculptor) GRRRRRRRR......! Sorry, had to get it off my chest....

3flightsofstairs · 24/11/2006 17:44

Thanks for the boob messsages! very reassuring. I am hoping to wean DS before no.2 comes along as well, don't fancy feeding 2 at once altho not sure why?
Great list abgirl! Impressed at your powers of concentration. I'm a goldfish.
I've got a scan on Tuesday too mumpbump. I'll be thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed.

emmyb · 24/11/2006 19:13

Good luck mumpbump hope all is well

Well done abgirl that list is great.
Well I survived the school trip to spaceport museum today. Found a nice quiet corner away from the pupils I was supervising and secretly scoffed crisps. Werent supposed to eat in the building so I had to be very careful!! Ordered my preggy pop drops yesterday, quite pricey but will be worth it if the ease this constant nuasea oh i wont even pretent to know how to spell that.
Hope everyone is ok

It has only been a few days since i have been online, i cant believe how many messages there are.

I have just been far to wiped out by the time ds is in bed, he is teething and nothing seems to be making a great deal of difference.

Has anyone started telling people in rl yet?

flopflip · 24/11/2006 19:53

I will be 12 weeks on christmas day, so will look forward to telling everybody then.

lynneclynne · 24/11/2006 20:05

Evening ladies!
Hope you are all well!
I had my app with gp today my edd date is 30 July had to explain that i was petrified about this pg due to mc in Aug, feel (for now) that im just blocking being pg out of my mind all together as i fear for bad news again, I hope as time goes by it will get easier. My gp has e-mailed the hospital and asked that i get an urgent app for scan to put my mind as ease.
Everyay that passes i keep thinking am i still pg?? I am peeing alot but thats about it, now since my last pg was 13 years ago, is this normal or should i have more symptoms at just 4weeks 4 days???? I know everyone is different and im just getting a bit paranoid, but id appreciate any feed back.

Hello everyone! Well, it looks like I'm departing this thread. Have m/c, but at least it seems to be complete so that's the end of it. I hope that I am the only one to drop off this thread and that the rest of you have trouble-free pgs and beautiful babies... I shall probably check in from time to time to see how you're all doing anyway in a lurky kind of way...

lynneclynne · 24/11/2006 20:30

Mumpbump, my thoughts are with you, i know what you are going throughxxx

littlepiggie · 24/11/2006 20:31

typhoonsmum · 25/11/2006 08:24

Sorry was not on yesterday didn't have chance to get to the computer.

I'm impressed with the list of EDD. That must have taken ages. Thought I would be at the bottom.

Talking of Sore boobs and MS. The boobs are really sore. My mum used to say you should never wear a bra to bed unless you were pregnant. I took that to mean much later on but should I wear it now. Everytime I turn over they hurt and taking it off at night is quite tender. I don't remeber them being this sore with DD. The MS is more waves of nausea, never sick but very rarely am, It isn't everyday either. Tends to be worse if I have to get up early fades about ten and then comes back at three. But yesterday there wasn't that much. A stronger feeling of nausea about 11 o clock but that went and didn't come back.

I'm panicking now. I was relying on the MS to be a good sign. While I had that I wasn't as likely to MC. (Stupid but you hang on to these things) I know I'm only 4 weeks 5 days and it doesn't really kick in till abut 6-7. I suppose I just want a guarantee everything will be ok.

typhoonsmum · 25/11/2006 08:34

Right i've been thinking about this EDD thing. If you have a 28 day cycle then the day you are due your AF is actually the first day of your next cycle Right? So you have already completed four weeks (28 days = 4 weeks) So the day your AF doesn't arrive would make you 4weeks and 1 day wouldn't it. Not 4 weeks. Same applies to 35 day cycles. ( you would be 5 weeks b4 you realised you were pregnant)

Can anyone see my way of thinking or am I going MAD!
