Hello All

Hope I am correct in beginning a thread for July 07. BFP today (23rd October) and EDD 2nd July 07.

By way of a brief introduction; live in the South West, work part-time, have DD aged 5 and DS who is almost 3. Have been incredibly lucky this time as made decision to try for third and hey presto seem to have achieved it on first attempt (much to DH disappointment if you know what I mean!!).

Look forward to 'meeting' you and sharing this amazing experience with you.

mmmmmmm... I'm just eating Yeo Valley Apricot right now yum yum. I was gonna try and find a low fat one but I guess I will just stick with that and put the calories towards the baby

dorisofdevon · 23/11/2006 22:24

Beartime same thing happened to my sister her ds naturally decided he didn't want her anymore she felt a bit rejected but a lot less tired!!!

Still struggling with the all day sickness ( well nasuea) just popped on the see how everyones doing thanks for the link miao brilliant thread on m/s

3flightsofstairs · 24/11/2006 00:34

Does anyone who is still bf not have sore boobs? Bit personal, sorry! But my boobs balloooooned on my first pg and were really achey and I can't believe that they're still OK. It's worrying me (unsurprisingly! I think everything is worrying right now!) as there's not a flicker. Do I still have enough hormones zipping round my boobs that my new pg hormones are having no effect?

giulia68 · 24/11/2006 07:50

3flights - i have nothing other than extreme tiredness -and er - slightly more emotional/bolshy than normal. dh would agree with that but even i can acknowledge it... boobs feel normal, no sickness and i should be grateful, but being paranoid, i am of course presuming st is wrong....have a good day, giulia

jennster · 24/11/2006 07:56

My milk supply has definitely dwindled, and they are not the norks they were balloon wise! Today will be the first day trying not to express at work...it's hardly worth it anyway.

I love Rachaels and Yeo Valley natural greek yoghurt. It's much thicker than normal stuff. You can add any fruit you like. Dd loves it with banana.

Chooster · 24/11/2006 08:42

Guilia - I'm exactly the same as you - I've had 3 pregnancies and with all I had MS - very bad with my last pregnancy. With this one, I have no sickness at all and no sore boobs - just tired and get teary at the strangest things. My DH and I went to the movies the other night and I cried at an advert before the movie started. It was the one about the blackout in New York (think its about turning your phone off). ANYWAY - I've been really worrying as well Guilia and even took another pg test to make sure! I'm going for a scan in 2 weeks so it'll feel more real then.

I hope you stay feeling good!!

abgirl · 24/11/2006 09:37

Beartime I am not wanting to have a go at you and am sure you had the best of intentions but I had severe early on-set pre-eclampsia with my DS and it is totally unrelated to diet and is NOT preventable by eating lots of protein.

The causes of pre-eclampsia are not yet totally understood which is why it is so important to know the symptoms of it and to attend all your midwife appointments. When it occurs the body has difficulty getting blood through to your baby, which is why your blood pressure rises, and the baby becomes deficient in oxygen and nutrition.

For reliable information on pre-eclampsia please look at apec .

Sorry if this seems harsh but having a baby 11 weeks early is not an experience I would wish on anyone and telling people that eating lots of protein would prevent pre-eclampsia happening is just wrong.

Hi everyone and hope things are fine. I am a Yeo Valley yoghurt fan too - not the low-fat versions though! My fave is the plum one in the big pots.

My boobs are still pretty much as normal - I just assumed it was because they weren't busy doing anything new and making themselves into food machines like they were last time I was pg! I am feeling really pleased with myself as I've managed to get ds down to 2 bfs a day in the last couple of days without too much trauma; I'm hoping this might help me feel a bit less tired. If anyone's a bit worried about bfing while pg I found some good advice on kellymom . I would like to finish too soon but not sure what to do next as he's allergic to dairy and refuses all other formulas. Dietician's appointment at the hospital soon so hoping this will give me the answers...

My cure for ms seems to be gorging myself at every possible opportunity - as long as I am not hungry, I seem to be fine! So I have been doing so with great abandon. The only thing now is that apart from the odd af-like pain I have no real symptoms which makes me think - did I dream all this?!

Oh and as for the constipation problem - I've had no trouble since I've been eating 2 prunes every morning! (You must all think I'm terrible - stinky farts and poo trouble, tmi!!!)

Groveregg · 24/11/2006 10:05

Wow well done abgirl, it's like a big league table! I wonder how the actual results will pan out in July!

Glad you like it - was much more fun to set up than doing the work I should be doing right now! Have a spreadsheet saved so should be easy to keep updated each Friday...

bubble78 · 24/11/2006 10:37

im the 22nd july not 26th sorryi got my original dates wrong

justbeme · 24/11/2006 11:44

wow abgirl - that was really good - i make it 36 of us mums to be?
As i said b4 - im more likely to end up 2 weeks over my due date going on my daughters birth - i have another scan next friday - so fingers crossed all is still well.

Bodkin · 24/11/2006 11:52

Good work ABgirl! Think I'm only 6w+1 though, as had a very short cycle the month I got BFP (ov'd day 10!) 15th July was the date the edd calculator came up with (I put in cycle length 24 days) Date of last period was 12th Oct. Can any Carol Vordermans out there let me know if I have worked that out right?!

Hungry again - can't stop thinking about food! Glad to hear eggs are ok, I'm craving them like mad!

Had bit of mild nausea all morning yesterday, that miraculously lifted at 11.00am! Just like that, bam, I felt better. Wasn't anything I did or ate, it just went! Weird, or not?

Getting those niggly stretchy pains now, first one side, then the other. Remember that from last time - its' ligaments stretching isn't it (I hope)

Chooster · 24/11/2006 12:31

Hey well done for getting this done abgirl! I've copied and popped my name in the right place - Firststar was right my EDD is the 20th July.

Bodkin - My last AF was the 13th October and the doc confirmed I am 6 weeks today, so that makes sense that you are 6+1, but your EDD seems to take into account your 24 day cycle, so given that then you should be 6+5... I think

Hi to everyone! Hope those with bad MS are finding some of the remedies useful... Sorry if TMI, but am I the only one with thrush? - I had it pretty much throughout my last pregnancy (at least it felt like it) and here it is again... Its my only PG symptom so far - although I have been getting a wee bit of nausea.

Chooster · 24/11/2006 12:34

Ooops forgot the list! There I am - snuggling up in between Kyte and 3flights. We'll have to have a re-shuffle after our scans

I've now got a scan on Tuesday due to bleeding, but the Early Pregnancy Unit says it doesn't necessarily mean the worst. They say the scan should give us an idea of what is happening, so fingers crossed all will be okay. If so, I should get to see the baby very soon!!

Cyee · 24/11/2006 13:07

Mumpbump - hope things go ok with the scan.

Thanks for the list Abgirl - wow - makes everything seem a bit real!

Today I will mostly be having waaay too many.... Yops. Yum!

Hope you all have a good Friday - it's nearly the weekend!

Mumpbump, i had bleeding from week 10-14 with my first pregnancy. sure you know it is incredibly common and very often simply another symptom (last time i only had to check out the hundreds of reassuring threads on mumsnet on the very subject to know i was not alone), but just because it's common doesn't mean it isn't unsettling to say the least - as you say though - does mean you get some extra scans, always a good thing.

Abgirl - what a great list... definitely worthwhile you doing it - for us, don't know about your employer!

Have a good weekend x

Mumpbump · 24/11/2006 13:54

Thanks Giulia. That is very reassuring. Don't know how to do a search on mumsnet so haven't yet identified those hundreds of threads about this subject, but I'm at home today so should have time to work it out!
