Hello All

Hope I am correct in beginning a thread for July 07. BFP today (23rd October) and EDD 2nd July 07.

By way of a brief introduction; live in the South West, work part-time, have DD aged 5 and DS who is almost 3. Have been incredibly lucky this time as made decision to try for third and hey presto seem to have achieved it on first attempt (much to DH disappointment if you know what I mean!!).

Look forward to 'meeting' you and sharing this amazing experience with you.

there will only be about 15 months between, so am very worried.
We were going to try after chrismas, knowing it could take a while (still bf), but have ended up pg after one of only half a dozen times we have had sex since ds was born.

giulia68 · 21/11/2006 19:31

Marvellous ! thanks, i am really pleased to meet you all... am rather behind some of you i think - just 5 weeks but already feeling knackered. or could that because i have a 16 mos ds. who is still up.

lynneclynne · 21/11/2006 19:53

Hi ladies!
Is there room for one more??

Congratulations to you all!!

Cakehead · 21/11/2006 19:56

Hi Giulia and Littlepiggie - nice to have you onboard!
Giulia, I have a 16 month old too. Hard work, isn't it? Particularly if you're feeling a bit green.. Mine's blissfully sleeping, but then she ought to be, she had me up at 5.00 this morning...

flopflip · 21/11/2006 19:57

Hello everybody and welcome to giulia and littlepiggie .

Lp, I have a 7mth old also who will be the same age as your ds. I am really pleased to be pg but then think OH MY GOD how will I cope !!

Anyway, feeling ok at present, no real nausea but also no chance to have naps, Kyte I am very jealous.

Typhoon, just reach each milestone and breath a sigh of relief.

Cakehead · 21/11/2006 19:58

Cross-posts - didn't mean to ignore you, Lynneclynne - you're very welcome too!

Emmyb, where I am, in London, I had to see my doctor when i found out I was pg, and he sent a letter to the hospital that triggered my booking-in appointment and my scan. Maybe the same for you?

flopflip · 21/11/2006 20:00

Sorry Lynneclynn, also did the same thing, you must be feeling really paranoid now, sorry again.

Bodkin · 21/11/2006 20:00

Hi all, not been on in a while and wow aren't there a lot of us on here now! Hello Giulia and little piggie and congrats.

Hi Emmyb, i'm also confused as to what to do re contacting GP - mainly because I have moved since I had DD and am not sure of the procedure here. Was going to wait until I'm about 7 weeks to phone GPs and ask what the protocol is.

I am also worried about DDs jealousy - she will be 3 and a half in July, and will probably be very gutted at her sudden demotion in terms of my attentions! She seems quite cool about the whole concept at the moment, but think as the bump starts appearing and i am less able to pick her up (she can be a lazy so and so when it comes to walking!) the realisation may start to dawn on her.

Hi to Kyte, Firstar, Chooster and the rest of the Pos in November laydeez.

Bodkin · 21/11/2006 20:02

Gosh and me too, Hi Lynne! Sudden rush on to MN as everyone puts kids to bed!

lynneclynne · 21/11/2006 20:03

Thanks flopflip, i am!!Im just scared to get too excited, incase we have bad news again, hopefully as time goes by, it'll get easier!!

flopflip · 21/11/2006 20:08

my first pg was a m/c and it is not until about 5mths down the line where you suddenly think, ok this might be for keeps.

Fingers crossed for everybody. I am not particularly religous but with my dd I wore a St Gerard medal on my bra. It worked, or at least I believe it did. He is apparantly the patron st of pregnant women.

dorisofdevon · 21/11/2006 20:11

Hi m/s has really truly kicked in throwing up helps for a couple of hours then just bleurrrggghhh feel rough I'm off work this week suposedly to renovate my lounge (moved into partly renovated hose in September but still living in Kitchen!) However feel too reough to do most things dh and my parents are being v. understanding....went to tescos this afternoon dragged myself round with bottle of water close by to get through the particularly smelly bits urghhh just thinking about it!

Right that's that off my chest sorry for the whinge just hoped it would be better this time (like not at all

Now for any advice used to drink pepermint tea to settle my stomach but can't remember if this is ok in preg and i know everyone has ginger tea buit just don't like the taste as much any ideas???

Baysmum · 21/11/2006 20:51

Helo again July mums, just wanted to ask any 2nd/3rd/4th/ time mums if they did the whole antenatal class thing again or did they just limit that to the first time round?? We are in a new area so I wd eventually love to meet other pg mums BUT is it the done thing when you've already got one???

pookey · 21/11/2006 21:13

Congratulations all the newbies!

Mumpbump your info about bf was comforting for me as I have finished bf ds this weekend, I dont think I was producing much milk in anyway as have suffered no engorgment.

jennster could your dp get up to your lo and rock or pat to sleep - thats how our ds finally started to sleep through.

Dorisofdevon, def just enjoy your week off your ms sounds awful.

I am trying not gain to much weight and so far the nausea has helped with that! Its weird my tummy is swollen but I havent actually gained weight.

I am booked in at hospital and my first scan is booked on the 22nd of dec. Theres no chance of waiting to go to GP here or you get no choice of which hospital you go to.

Cakehead · 21/11/2006 21:38

Baysmum, I think I'll do the local ante-natal class again. When I did it first time, one of the other mums-to-be already had a son, but she wanted to meet other mums who'd have babies the same age. I guess I'll do the same, and probably daydream my way through the actual advice bits!
Am such a trougher at the moment. Tonight have eaten roast chicken dinner with DD at 5.30; ham sandwich and an avacado at 7.00; obligatory packet of Wotsits at 8.00, and then 3 rusks with hot milk. No wonder I'm feeling queasy...

Mumpbump · 21/11/2006 21:40

Baysmum - I'm considering doing antenatal classes again, but admit that I am finding it difficult to justify the cost of going with the NCT again. I kind of figure I'll end up doing toddler stuff with ds and that will hopefully enable me to meet some new mums. Plus, you can always go to a meet-up of mumsnet people...

jennster · 21/11/2006 21:49

ADD YOUR STATS HERE NEWSTERS
