Oh and, 55 days for me too! Same as squatting I believe! I'm sure someone else on here also has the same due date but I could be wrong

Lauren82000 · 24/02/2015 15:40

57 days over here. Just been to the dentist for my scale and polish so now all I can taste is blood and grit. Confused I text DH 'bloodbath' and he came back with 'that s**t me up don't text things like that'

Pretty sure I'd be ringing him if I was bleeding not texting him one word and a sad face. I swear he's an idiot sometimes. Grin

smogsville · 24/02/2015 15:51

LOL Lauren!

cinnamongreyhound · 24/02/2015 16:11

Thanks smogsville, unfortunately its already happening! Dh and I have had a long conversation today on the phone and he's agreed we need to change something.

Kind of wish I had people who wanted to come and see me and fill my house! My mum will come or we will go there to collect the boys depending on how long we're in and what time we get home but that will be it!

Yay mswibble, very pleased for you!

How lovely TheBooMonster Grin

I was told that on Friday too FiRaffe, I've also been told how neat my bump is. I'm further along than you though 34w+1.

Oooo only 42 days for me!!!

ChickenMe · 24/02/2015 16:15

RL I get that. It's hard with ILs because they have different boundaries. Its like a different culture! My OH's family are a lot more involved in the lives of OH and SIL and I'm not used to that. My parents treat me a lot more like an adult. My parents encouraged me to be independent from a young age. Sometimes I feel that the urge MIL has to help/wrap in cotton wool is more about her and her fears. For instance MIL was fretting about me driving. I know it's bad but to me that's saying I should have something to fear about driving! But why?

54 days! Eeek! My bump has dropped, does that mean anything? I'm only 32 +2?

cinnamongreyhound · 24/02/2015 16:24

They can pop in and out of being engaged kismac although less so with first pregnancies.

TheBooMonster · 24/02/2015 17:37

Thanks tiny I might have to bring up GD with the midwife on Thursday, my urine samples are fine but I'm drinking 4-5 litres of juice a day and someone said that could be a sign Hmm

Cinnamon I can lend you some of our visitors? passes them on with enthusiasm

ChickenMe · 24/02/2015 17:41

Mines always been quite low kismac but people were saying last week it had dropped and it has. Also it got bigger all of a sudden! Have other people noticed it on you too?
Do you have any more scans? I had a 32w one; we get 36w too. My head wasn't engaged so far. Consultant checked again last week physically (weird!). Not engaged. I think midwives can physically check?
When you see model bumps they are always quite high and round. Mine looks like it's hangin' low!

TinyTear · 24/02/2015 17:44

Boo, stop the juice! Was the first thing my dietitian said... Too full of sugar... They said better to eat the fruit...

cinnamongreyhound · 24/02/2015 17:48

Yes ChickenMe, the midwives can feel and I think from 34 maybe 36 weeks they will give you a value out of 5 for how engaged baby is.

mswibble · 24/02/2015 18:05

Is that actual fruit juice or squash boo? 4-5ltrs is a lot! Would definitely bring it up next time you see MW

BananaToast · 24/02/2015 18:37

Phew just caught up on today's chat. It's my birthday today - last one child-free and officially into my late twenties (boo). Have had the day off work doing bits and pieces to get the nursery ready, I really can't wait to have him here now Smile

My friend had a baby boy this morning, I am now officially the next in line!

Visitor wise, I'm happy for my immediate family to come and visit soon after he's born, but they live nearby and won't outstay their welcome. DH's family are all abroad so no problems there, and pretty sure friends will wait to be invited.

TheBooMonster · 24/02/2015 18:40

oh tiny and wibble cordial squash type stuff as apposed to pure fruit juice, I'd be bankrupt by now if it was the proper stuff! Though we won't talk about the daily smoothy :/

ChickenMe · 24/02/2015 18:44

Fruit must be a common craving. It's really thirst quenching! I'm obsessed with Elderflower cordial with sparkling water. And grapefruit! Soooo refreshing!!

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 24/02/2015 19:14

happy birthday, bananatoast

RL20 · 24/02/2015 19:43

Just realised the long-ish post I posted earlier, didn't work! Never mind.

Happy Birthday Banana! Congrats to your friend too Grin

Has everyone got names sorted yet? I think I'm going to be that person that uses up the whole extra 6 weeks that they allow you to choose a name Confused
If it was purely down to me, then I've already picked. But my partner doesn't like it all Hmm

smogsville · 24/02/2015 19:50

Yes happy birthday Banana!

Just been to my weekly exercise class. I am so tired after this morning's early start (thanks DD) I will have to be v careful not to nod off on tube home, complete with drool all over my shoulder Shock

RL20 · 24/02/2015 20:03

Smog what exercise class do you do? I work at a a Leisure Centre and am always in awe when I see pregnant women coming out of a class! Well done to them and you!
I can't wait to take baby to the centre with me for swimming etc, and then to get into a routine of doing classes (me, obviously). The perks of working in a leisure centre! I love the atmosphere of working in the evenings there, as everyone's so upbeat and happy from working out and the musics blaring Grin

cinnamongreyhound · 24/02/2015 20:07

Happy birthday BananaToast! Wish I was in my late twenties SadEnvy

I'm the opposite to TheBooMonster, I know I don't drink enough and know I feel rubbish for it at times. I always make sure I drink 500ml straight after I've run but if ive eaten drinking makes me feel so full and as my digestion is very slow I feel full from food quite a lot of the day.

TheBooMonster · 24/02/2015 20:16

cinnamon the thing is normally I barely drink at all, I survived on a few coffees, maybe a couple of glasses of coke or lemonade or something a day, so this sudden need for liquid is incredibly frustrating, hence why I started filling a cordial bottle and I've realised just how much I'm actually drinking :S

Happy Birthday banana!

RL I have my favourites and although DH only agreed to the boys name I think it's safe to say I'll get my own way on the girl. My rule is if he can't come up with an alternative I'll have what I want. Wink

RL20 · 24/02/2015 20:32

Squatting Hannah is lovely Smile Not a very heard-of name now for babies, so that will be nice.
I've looked on the baby names section on here quite a few times, and I must say a lot of people are with me in thinking 'Boys names are hard'! But I can't quite believe how incredibly fussy I actually have been with the choosing. I'd say I dislike 90% of boys names Confused Have no idea why. I think with a girls name you can be more adventurous but if you're adventurous with a boys name you slightly run the risk of it sounding a bit "chavvy". I don't know it could just be me being overly picky Confused
My favourite name is considered "popular" and overused according to some of the threads on there, which I was surprised at because it's not popular round here at all! It must be regional thing!
