Hi ladies, many congratulations on your recent news. I'm sure like me you are very excited but also wondering what every feeling is going on in your body and wondering if it is normal.

I'm 30, this is my first ever pregnancy, i am 4.5 weeks and it turns out I'm a bit of a hypercondriac, scared whether every symptom is normal.

My breasts have been sore all week, but today I feel like I'm the size of a house and that I've lost control of my stomach muscles. Anyone else feel the same?

Hi everybody :) CONGRATULATIONS

I'm due sept 5th and suffering the worst acid reflux/heartburn which then cause sickness blah!?! Also sore bobs and horrendous headaches. Also know what you mean by the feeling of pulling inside I've been sleeping with a pillow under me as it's more comfortable as it pushes me back up when km on my side!! It's my new best friend!!

misssmilla1 · 18/01/2015 19:33

Congratulations everyone! After 18 months ttc and being told we had unexplained fertility we got a BFP yesterday Grin I'm 4.5 weeks and my calculation put me due at 23rd September.

Side effects atm are a weird metallic taste in my mouth all the time, terrible burping, period like cramps and it feels like the top parts of my ribs are separating; all v odd!

itssangriaoclock · 18/01/2015 20:22

Congratulations missmilla1. I too have mild period cramps, which make me ran to the Loo to check I have no spotting too Hmm the joys of early pregnacy.

misssmilla1 · 18/01/2015 20:49

itssangria thanks, and to you! I'm with you on the running to the loo thing just 'to check' - DH thinks I'm losing it, lol. Got told at our fertility work up that I'm at risk of miscarriage due to a heredity gene they identified so am hotfooting it to the drs next week to try and find out more about the meds they recommended

Stircrazy1984 · 19/01/2015 18:15

Haha, just seen this! Where does DH teach? Local to you? Our lives appear to be in parallel!

lastnightiwenttomanderley · 19/01/2015 18:39

PS. Thank you :) Was Fri evening, think I knew deep down.

Stircrazy1984 · 19/01/2015 19:23

DH teaches in John Mason in Abingdon..how about yours? What specialism? Lol yeah I know, maybe after our scans we should meet up, it'd be nice to know someone in the area, gives us both someone to talk to since we're due on the same day lol.

Well done for waiting until Friday, patience of a saint!

Jessica I'm due the same day as you Smile
I've got constant nausea and my sleep is disrupted. Boobs hurt and I'm peeing lots. I also want to go to bed at 9pm!

itssangriaoclock · 19/01/2015 20:27

When are you planning in telling family and friends?
I'm sure a few friends know but are patiently waiting to be told, my mum is beginning to notice I have been around. Being my second I'm so bloated so harder to hide.

We have a scan booked at 8wks due to having a bicornate uterus. Have scans every 4wks through out. As long as everything stays normal I can still have a homebirth.

itssangriaoclock · 19/01/2015 20:28

Clicked send too soon

So I was thinking telling after 8wks as if everything is ok there is an 80+% chance if the pregnancy continuing?

What are your thoughts

FeelTheNoise · 19/01/2015 20:38

I'm probably due in September but haven't had dates confirmed yet SmileSmile as soon as I've got confirmed due date I'll officially join the thread!

Stircrazy1984 · 19/01/2015 21:29

Hi Clock and Noise,

Huge congratulations on your great news Flowers

Clock DH and I told our immediate family and closest friends on the day we found out, we were so excited and thought if something happens they will be our support group and see us through the good or bad. Everyone else will find out after the 12 week scan ( which is going to take forever to get here.lol).

Noise, it doesn't matter if you're not due in September, you're more than welcome anyway.

DH is up at Radley, History dept. John Mason is supposed to be excellent, no?

I have a very close friend who knows -she is 14 weeks herself - and I actually told her before DH as needed to tell someone and he was still at work! Going to tell other friend who is OBGYN when we see her on sat. Otherwise, family after 12 weeks and work when I get back from Easter holidays. This is slightly tactical... we have our annual promotions at end of March/early April and so, though I know they can't factor PG into this, wouldnt want to risk it. For the record, this wouldn't involve depriving someone else of a role - we don't have a formal number at each level, so is more recognition of the level I personally am operating at. Also not directly linked to salary, would just be job title. Been working towards it for a while so fingers crossed!

Anyone else waking up at odd times of the night?

MessyMoo · 21/01/2015 00:36

BFP today! We've been trying for 8m and just didn't think it would happen for us - so very exciting!! Think it's due 28th Sept, will make docs appt for early next week I think. Congrats everyone.

Jessica32 · 21/01/2015 08:10

So lovely that there are so many of us!

I'm definitely finding it hard not to tell. We have told my mum and sister though as if anything were to happen I'd want there support anyway. So at least we can share the excitement.

It's lovely my partner is as excited as me. He is away on business but rang yesterday just to tell me he can't stop thinking about it.

I feel nervous sometimes too but sickness and killing boobs do reassure!

We all need to remember though that the odds of things being ok are heavily in our favour.

Jessica32 · 21/01/2015 08:22

Hi Purplecircle,
It's great to have someone due the same day, congratulations.

The tiredness hit yesterday. My mum had warned me that was her biggest symptom.

Although nausea comes and goes, my boobs are agony. Keep waking up when I roll over in bed because they move. Wearing a crop top which helps a bit but all my bras have wires so no good for sleeping. Would like to avoid buying new ones quite so soon though.

alliebongo93 · 21/01/2015 08:51

Hi Ladies, can I join?
Got bfp last week and according to the doctor I'm due 20th September :)
I already have and 8 month old DS so a bit worried about having "two under two" but also really exited about having a new little one in the family
I wasn't having very many symptoms before, but woke up this morning feeling awful! how is everyone else doing?

Currentlyclueless · 21/01/2015 09:04

Still got no symptoms at 8 weeks I'm either very lucky
Something's wrong
Or
It's going to hit me like a tonne of bricks in a few days

Redsparklyshoes · 21/01/2015 11:31

Hello all!
I'm 8 weeks and due 1st September with my first.
Waves of nausea come and go and my sense of smell is ridiculous!
Huge tender breasts and a bloated tummy which at times looks like I'm 6 months!

Good luck to you all!

FeelTheNoise · 21/01/2015 20:32

The tiredness is unreal! I thought it was because we are recovering from awful flu, then I missed my period BlushSmileBlush
I look enormous too. I can't imagine this will be a secret for long because I look 4/5 months. This is not my first pregnancy, my DC is technically old enough to be a parent himself Blush so it has been a while! But it's as if my body knew what is ahead and started making changes straight away. Everything has moved upwards and I'm HUGE

Fizzie100 · 23/01/2015 14:04

Hi everyone can I join? I just found out BFP on my lunch break and in a state of shock. Need to tell BF when he gets home from work. Im this doesn't feel real at all....!!

FeelTheNoise · 23/01/2015 18:49

Congratulations Fizzie!
The shock has subsided for us somewhat. Fear and excitement are reigning supreme! How are you feeling? Will your partner be supportive? Thanks

Fizzie100 · 23/01/2015 19:01

Congratulations to you too! He's on his way home from work now. Yes he definitely will be although he is likely to be in shock too. We had literally only dtd a couple of times in last month and were just starting to think about it, thinking it might take us a little while. I've been wanting a baby for a while now so not sure why I don't feel excited yet, I think until I tell someone it is just shock bottled up inside of me. I feel all over the place x

Looceeloo · 23/01/2015 20:22

Helloooo

Found out I was pregnant yesterday, I'm only about 4.5wks so wasn't sure whether to join as actually don't believe it's real yet! Can't entirely remember when the first day of my last period was but I think I'm due around 27th September. Feeling excited, anxious, happy, scared and everything else under the sun! Shock
