HI Guys, I am still confused, so please join me on this one.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
EliBoo · 01/11/2006 11:45

Loulou, I don't know - both, I think! If I wasn't worried about bp going up like last time, and I wasn't itching, I think I'd be happy. But as it is...it might just make a clear-cut decision a lot more confusing Good luck on Friday.

Castles, your OB My last one was like that, I think it was a ploy to distract me - we didnt' quite see eye to eye

Foxes or ghosts, hmm. Ghosts please, less smelly and they don't poo on your patio. I think.

VanillaMilkshake · 01/11/2006 12:25

Phew -got to pre-school in plenty of time, dont know how I managed it as bump makes me walk so slowly. But having said that perhaps I hurried without noticing as bump feels really heavy now.

with regards to the dryer balls. spoke to another mum at pre-school, who said she saw the tip on Kim and Aggie, but they said you can also use a couple of tennis balls....Oh well at least mine are pretty colours - and knobbly

VanillaMilkshake · 01/11/2006 12:26

BTW am now at work - glad to see intrnet is working again.

I have just cried my eyes out typing a letter to advise my childminder that DD will not be going after 4th December. All I could think was that that phase of her life was over. After 4 years with the same CM I feel like I'm tearing her away from her 'normal' life.
Please, please can I have my hormone levels back at a reasonable level?!
Vanilla, how do you manage to do all of that in less than 2 hours? You must be superwoman!

VanillaMilkshake · 01/11/2006 13:39

BP I know how you feel. I creid when DD went to pre-school - especially the first time I left her there and came home. It's a sign they are growing up....and how stupid is this....I cried in the middle of our shopping mall when we realised that she was big enough to go round an inflatable Treasure Island bocuncy castle thing by herself. The last 2 years DH and I had to go with her, but this summer DH just slowed her down.

Have to say I have a good man behind me (ooer)! DH gets home from work has breakfast and coffee if he's not running late then drives me in.

weirdbird · 01/11/2006 14:25

Gloria42

Try Optimal Foetal Positioning, there are certain positions etc that will encourage baby into the best position for birth, have been using them the last 8 weeks and nump has gone from breech to transverse to the perfect position at the moment!!

Gloria42 · 01/11/2006 14:50

Thansk WB will def give that a go!

jabberthefriendlyghost · 01/11/2006 15:05

I'm waking up these days feeling like I'm wearing someone else's hands! It's sooo weird.

Had a huge fight with dh right at bedtime last night, then slept better than I have in weeks. Can't quite figure that one out

VM, I so identify with that hard bump thing. With ds I thought it was somehow abnormal, but have accepted that they just feel that way sometimes.

dublindee · 01/11/2006 15:11

Hi guys!
Got news my dates are not wrong and I don't have gestational diabetes. So it's definitely 10th December due date at moment - but baby is quite big.
When they did the scan 3 weeks ago, he was already 4.5-5lbs in weight so we're looking at 10lbs minimum (from 36 weeks baby gains 1lb in weight per week on average).
If I go over they'll induce me so I hopefully won't be left hanging on for too long!

BTW - it's DEFINITELY A BOY!

I've since finished up in work as my energy levels were shot to pot and I felt like poo all the time.
I have to say, apart from him hopping up and down on the sciatic nerve and me getting horrid darting pains in my pelvic area, all is going quite well.
Gonna stop driving lessons soon though as bump has taken on a life of his own and has grown at an alarming rate!

Hope everyone is well

Dee

Have eaten so much crap today. The kitchens at work let me down by mixing gerkins (pickles to you jabber ) and red peppers in with the jalepenos. Held up the whole salad queue while I fished out the bit I wanted!

Firend at work bought in a carrot cake so we had a quarter each to make sure none was left for my boss

Then I have just been a got a Snickers and a can of pepsi. Is anyone else flouting the 'no peanuts' rule second time round? I am just desperate for them. Snickers are not my preferred, but not many places here sall the Reeces peanut goodies, esp Nutrageous! Yum!

jabberthefriendlyghost · 01/11/2006 15:14

Wow, that is big. I'm having this one at 38+4 so figure he'll be around 7 like ds. Or maybe a little less since ds was full term.

VanillaMilkshake · 01/11/2006 15:18

Good luck Dee!

Might have said before I was a 10lb baby (c-section due to mum's age), However my mum was 14lb - and born naturally at home, my Grandmother also gave birth to 5 others at home including twins - but this was back in the 1920/30's!

If she did it, I definatley can.

theoriginaljabberwocky · 01/11/2006 15:21

I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one eating peanuts Fessed up to my OB that I had been craving bananas with peanut butter but was trying to keep it to a reasonable level

VanillaMilkshake · 01/11/2006 15:24

Told the MW I was on them, and she said as long as I dont over do it I should be fine, since niether DH or myself have allergies and so far (at age 3) DD has'nt shown any sign of being allergic either.

I try to limit it to only 3 or 4 peanut things a week, but today I had a Snickers before work as well

She also said the odd soft boiled egg wou'dnt hurt as long as the eggs were fresh. But I have since gone off these and onto buttery scrambled eggs on buttery toast - delish, hmm that's tonights tea sorted out

Gloria42 · 01/11/2006 15:27

I have a new symptom - heavy arms!!! Am i just weird? my arms feel like tonne weights, as if i have been at the gym for hours! is this normal? (Oh forgot - am pregnant so normal doesn't come into it )

VanillaMilkshake · 01/11/2006 15:29

I get an achy shoulder - was quite scary in the early oart of my PG as it can be a sign of ectopic PG, but apparently it;s to do with swelling joints.....again.

Gloria this is your excuse to do no more strenous stuff!

dublindee · 01/11/2006 15:31

It takes me at LEAST 2 minutes to get up off the sofa if DP isn't there to lend a hand. And I have no feeling on one side when I wake in the morning so I feel your pain Gloria. "Normality" will resume in it's own good time, But til at least 2 weeks after bump introduces themselves to you - we'll all feel like a cross between Dolly Parton and John Wayne. So let's get used to it!

lucy5 · 01/11/2006 15:35

I feel bloody awful today!

Gloria42 · 01/11/2006 15:40

oh what a picture - John Wayne plus Dolly Parton!!!!

dublindee · 01/11/2006 15:41

The voice of optimism - that's me Gloria!

I've a driving lesson in 20 mins and I'm soooooo not in the mood!

annaspanner · 01/11/2006 15:56

I only seem to have the swollen limbs and achy joints first thing or during the nite, which means when I try to make it downstairs to the loo at 5 in the morning, half awake, nothing works! My hands and feet don't feel like mine and I bump into walls and fall over things that aren't directly in my path.
Then I spend the rest of the day hitting things with my bump, tables, chairs, kitchen counter, small children etc etc-I've got a huge bruise there from hitting a door handle somehow. Also, I'm still teaching two hours a day and the light switch is next to the blackboard and during the class I just switch it off, repeatedly..'oh..was that me?' And my half-inny-half-outy belly button is sooo tender now. You would think I'd learn to be more careful-but no.

But I'm convinced my Earth shoes have saved me from backache (which I really suffered with for years until I bought a pair this year). I suppose it's a bit late in the day to recommend them but you can find them on lovethoseshoes.com

weirdbird · 01/11/2006 15:56

Am feeling better today than I was yesterday or at least in an emotional sense I am. Think that is down to the Accupuncturist, had a session this morning and she left some points on my ears to aid level thinking.

Why do I have the urge to see what sellotape tastes like??!???

tinshoes · 01/11/2006 16:04

lol @ weirdbird. I cant imagine sellotape being very filling

10lb baby - yikes. My DD1 was 5 lb 12oz and that was bad enough

not a bad day today. hope you're all ok.

tinshoes · 01/11/2006 16:07

btw i am batinshoes who joined yesterday. the bat flew away with halloween

VanillaMilkshake · 01/11/2006 16:08

Ha ha Anna - I am the same. I bump in to walls when going to loo in the night.

And when reaching to get DD's coat off the hook at pre-school today I swept the entire contents off the display table with my bump .

The teacher thought it was hilarious as did all the other mum's glad DD is not old enough to know the meaning of embarassed
