Well I had to go into hospital this evening to be out on a monitor, all is fine.
I only had two small movements all day so it was decided best come in to be checked. We all knew it was likely the damn anterior placenta but after days of worry I needed the reassurance.

tanny oh no I hope itall starts soon for you it ust be horrible being in edge waiting for it.

tea great news about your dad. Nice homes are difficult to find but when you do its a real weight off the family. I hope your dad settles quickly.
I hope you have a nice few days with your aupair, I remember how hard t was when I was a live in nanny leaving, I felt like I was cheating on them!

TinyTear · 26/02/2015 07:09

Glad all is ok Little.

I have scan and consultant appointment later at 11.

That's good tea - hopefully he can get in and settled soon.

Hope things get moving again soon.

I have the worse cold ever, coupled with no sleep cos everyone else has it too :( I can barely move this morning. Gonna be a long day....

Shetland · 26/02/2015 08:49

That should say Hope things get moving again soon Tanny

As good luck with the scan tiny

LIG1979 · 26/02/2015 11:38

Good luck Tiny.

I had a pointless midwife appointment. All well and good which is nice but I am still in complete limbo on what will happen with this GTT and no one is able to tell me anything. The GD support thread is scaring me a lot but my hospital also seem to be quite useless!

Tanny hope you are doing ok.

Tea glad you found one you liked. I really like the Sainsbury's TU stuff for kids and with 25% off really good value too.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 26/02/2015 12:31

Glad everything's ok little

Good luck with your appointments tiny

Hope you don't have to wait too much longer tanny

tea It's so hard finding a hospice or home that your happy with isn't it? We spent weeks finding the right home for film who has dementia. I'm glad you've found one your happy with.

Just had 36 weeks scan, beanie is head down, has lots of hair and for once posed for pictures then kicked the doctors hand away Grin

TinyTear · 26/02/2015 12:40

Scan done now waiting for obstetrician and endocrinologist...

Head down now, still HUGE tummy (measuring 3 weeks ahead) but all the rest is fine... Sigh...
I know I had some slip ups but I thought the gd was kind of under control...

OP posts:
LittleBairn · 26/02/2015 19:07

Tiny it doesn't sound like you are have worsened if you were previously measuring 3 weeks ahead that sounds like you have stabilised. I would take it as a postive.

Baby has been a bit more active today so I've been a lot mire relaxed.

TinyTear · 26/02/2015 20:10

Section booked!!!
Eeek
And being GD means having to go in the night before to get bloods measured in advance...
Better pack the ear plugs and eye mask...

31st March here we go!!

OP posts:
LittleBairn · 26/02/2015 20:50

Ut must seem all so real now tiny with a date arranged. Do you know how long you will need to stay after the section?
In about 10 days I will have my date for the stitch removal. I can't quite believe we are all nearing the end of our pregnancies.

LIG1979 · 26/02/2015 20:56

It all seems so real now! Must get organised soon. Feeling quite pregnant and huge now and think I have damaged myself down below with a huge poo. (tmi I know Blush ) . Baby is 3/5 engaged and I can really feel it pushing down below.

If I didn't have so much to do before he arrives I think I would be happy to have him out soon. I am done with being pregnant now!

TinyTear · 26/02/2015 21:10

No idea Little. Last time I stayed 2 nights... This time I'll see what they say...

LittleBairn · 26/02/2015 21:51

LIG don't worry I've had that 'experience' too I try to think of it as birth prep..

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 27/02/2015 09:37

The midwifes just called me to arrange my home birth visit on Monday, it's scarily real now Grin

LondonSuperTrooper · 27/02/2015 10:33

Wow, can't believe that it's so close now! And that we made it this far Grin - it all seems surreal to me.

31+5

LondonSuperTrooper · 27/02/2015 10:34

And LIG I'm like you, I haven't got anything ready and must get organised too.

Midwife was telling me yesterday to start having my hospital bag ready! And that I have to write my birth plan...... I haven't got a clue on how to go about it!

tannyLoo · 27/02/2015 10:50

It's getting proper exciting! No news here, I'm booked in for a sweep on Tuesday and I'm huge and covered in an unpleasant rash.

London there are lots of websites that can help with bag lists and birth plans. Everyone has such a different idea about what is essential! When it comes to having a birth plan, I'd get your midwife to do it with you rather than go it alone. It's just good to think about what are your absolutes and what is a movable feast. Skin to skin and delayed cord clamping are my absolutes... Good luck!

39+3Grin

LondonSuperTrooper · 27/02/2015 10:56

Thanks Tanny I've just been googling and have found some templates.

I also want skin to skin and delayed clamping :)

TeaandHobnobs · 27/02/2015 11:00

Sorry about the rash tanny Sad 39+3 is amazing though! Grin

I'm bang on 38 today. Hospital bag is finally fully packed (my friends have been horrified how late I've left it Grin). I'm feeling ready.... I think.

Dad is moving to the new nursing home this morning. It is a beautiful sunny day here, so I hope he gets the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine on his face a little on the way Smile

Au pair is leaving today - I tried not to cry this morning when she gave DS an Elmer book (Elmer is currently the best thing ever) with photos of her and him stuck inside the cover... it is making me want to cry just thinking about it! She didn't say a real goodbye to him this morning, I think because she didn't want to upset him before he went to nursery. But even though I've explained to him that she is going away, I expect he is going to be sad when he realises she has gone. One of the first things he said when he came in to me this morning was "[au pair's name] day?!" Sad

Hope you are doing ok babies?

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 27/02/2015 11:02

london I used the nhs choices birth plan all you have to do is tick the boxes and add any comments.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 27/02/2015 11:07

tea your au pair sounds lovely.

I'm going to visit my youngest charge today as he is apparently struggling to adjust to the new nanny and missing me, he isn't sleeping well and keeps asking if I'm going back Sad am hoping a visit will help reassure him that I haven't just disappeared.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 28/02/2015 08:06

Have been up since 4am feeling sick and with back ache, now have what feel like period pains across my stomach, think I might need to call the midwife.

Hoping it's not the start of labour I'm only 36+6 and just days away from being able to have a home birth

tannyLoo · 28/02/2015 09:17

Smiling I have had similar, and mine faded away, but everyone is different, so calling your mw won't do any harm. You'll be 37 weeks tomorrow, so if it is slow early labour and it slows or stops, you will still qualify for your home birth from midnight!

Keep us posted!

Shetland · 28/02/2015 09:43

Stay in touch smiling Like Tanny says, you've only got to hang on til midnight!

Last day at work yesterday! Still got 3 weeks of study but at least I don't need to actually go in :)

tannyLoo · 28/02/2015 10:07

Great milestone, shetland! Hooray!
