for me a good night is one when i wake every 2 to 3 hours, a bad one is every hour... yawn

and yesterday iremember seeing 3:55 and thinking ok, let's hope I can sleep till the alarm (at 6h15)... then get woken by a little hand tapping my bottom... DD had a bad dream and needed cuddles and sleeping with us... of course it then took her ages to get to sleep and me as well and when i finally did (at 5h30 ish) it was no time till the alarm...

That's how I was when working tiny I'd finally get back to sleep at 4.30ish then the alarm would go off at 5.45, it was torture!

I have cleaned the house from top to bottom today and tomorrow have at least 6 loads of washing to do, DP keeps telling me to sit down but I can't I think nesting has kicked in Blush

tannyLoo · 20/02/2015 20:37

Lots of sympathy and empathy for the lack of sleep. I'm very similar and get some very bleak thoughts when I'm sleep deprived.

Having lots of scratchy feelings inside, if that makes any sense, and feeling very sicky tonight. Boobs have suddenly grown again too. C'mon baby, I'm fed up of all this now!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 20/02/2015 20:49

tanny I'm only 35+5 and I'm fed up too but then I feel bad about moaning as I know how lucky I am.

But I just want to sleep on my stomach again and not have heartburn and see my toes BUT most of all I want to hold my son!

tannyLoo · 20/02/2015 20:50

Smiling I so totally relate!

My EDD is 3 March, and having been all cocky that it'd be early, I'm now trying to relax into a zen like state and think it'll get here when it's ready. So yes, you might well beat me to it!

tannyLoo · 22/02/2015 08:32

Just an update on babie, she has been posting in FB when she gets the chance. She's in again following a bleed yesterday, which seems to have calmed down. Baby babie is transverse at the moment, but doing well, so they are considering CS options.

LittleBairn · 22/02/2015 11:22

tanny thank you for bring babies news over I'm not on FB. Both she and her baby are in my thoughts.

smiling oh nesting sounds like a good sign. I've got a secret list of little mini tasks that I do while DH is at work so he doesn't moan about me being up.

I did have a little mini outing to bank & M&S yesterday seeing as I haven't had any hospital appointments this week so felt I had banked some out of bed time. It's made me realise how weak my body is, it was never expected I would be on such prolonged bed rest, I think I need to book a physio appointment for after the birth.

32 weeks today!

tannyLoo · 22/02/2015 11:39

Little fabulous to reach 32 weeks, you're doing so well! I'm knackered by doing small errands, so I really can't imagine how it feels when you've been on such prolonged bed rest!

LittleBairn · 22/02/2015 12:02

tanny when I go out even briefly I'm exhausted for the rest of the day my body just isn't used to exerting so much energy.
But I'm sure I have it easire than the rest of you lot working, kids etc while I lie in bed all day.
For the first time yesterday I had to do the 'pregnancy walk' with the arched back waddle I can't imagine how much strain that puts on your body having to humph a bump around everywhere!

tannyLoo · 22/02/2015 12:09

Ah yes, the pregnant duck waddle!

Babie sorry you had a scare but glad little one is hanging in there and fingers crossed they book you in for a c section on your induction date Flowers

little well done on 32 weeks Grin

I think beanie might have engaged, I feel like I'm carrying a bowling ball between my legs (sorry for tmi Blush) I've got the midwife on Tuesday so will see what she says.

have just been to the supermarket and stocked the fridge, freezer and cupboards just incase beanie decides to make an appearance, so I'm ready, food shop done, nursery done, hospital bag packed, just need baby to arrive.

36 weeks today

LittleBairn · 22/02/2015 17:48

I'm excited for you smiling it looks like things are progressing well.

babies its so frustrating not being able to properly prepare for the baby.
I insisted today that DH get the baby stuff out of storage so I could sort through everything and see what we need then he chased me back to bed.
I feel so disorganised.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 22/02/2015 18:33

little I feel for you, DP is driving me mad by not letting me do anything but it must be a hundred times worse for you.

Although I am more than ready for beanie to come I would prefer he held off another week or so.

I've got a busy week

tues - midwife
Wed - lunch with a couple of mum's I met at Antenatal classes
Thurs - last scan

Anyone else got scans or appointments this week?

tannyLoo · 22/02/2015 18:54

My week is shaping up like this...

Monday - mum here, ostensibly to help but really to be entertained and make snide comments about the state of house/DS/dog/my life choices
Tuesday - acupuncture session, first to focus on induction properly
Wednesday - no plans but probably waddling to soft play or toddler group
Thursday - midwife appt to discuss sweep next week
Friday - breastfeeding refresher course

My life ROCKS!!!

Shetland · 22/02/2015 19:37

Glad you're hanging in there babie Hope there are no more scares like that.

Well done on 32 weeks little :)

My weeks is plan less except for the fact that it's my last proper week at work - I look like this >> Grin Grin every time I think of it.

LIG1979 · 22/02/2015 21:21

Well done Babiecakes -you are doing so well but I imagine after months of bed rest getting up and about again will be tough.

Smiling - I was fairly sure I could feel ds engage early last week and the scan showed it too. Sitting up straight is quite tough these days and I feel quite uncomfortable.

Just had a lovely weekend it was the mil's 60th and all the family got together. I am however shattered from it all. Had a blocked nose and this has really impacted my sleep which wasn't good before. So looking forward to non-pregnant sleep - I know there will be sleepless nights but I am looking forward to being comfy in bed again.

I have a day of playdates tomorrow and then 4 days of work to finish the week. I am ready to finish now but still have so much to do so it isn't going to be much fun and I don't think I can really afford to take any more holiday or finish earlier. I have just had a few days off work and remembered how easy it is to fill your days not working. You all have much better sounding weeks! Sad

LittleBairn · 22/02/2015 23:15

tanny my parents will be ver ths week too and I'm betting there will be a lot of disapproval that DH hasn't done enough in the house. Poor DH is so busy with work and taking care of me he genuinely hasn't had a proper weekend to himself since the beginning if December!

Other than my arents visit , I need to call my GP for a new prescription that's about the extent of my plans.
Next week I have a scan and midwife appointment, my first proper one since 9 weeks. Then the week after an appointment with my consultant to discuss the stitch coming out.

shetland oh good news on the maternity leave starting.

LIG you sound exhausted and so busy, hopefully this week won't be too long in finishing.
I understand what you mean about non pregnant sleep and just being comfortable I feel the same way.

This baby has been nudging me so hard in the cervix tonight I can't relax, I wish she was breech! Talk about Sod's law she would have the heaviest part of her body pressing right on the most delicate part of my body. I need her not to stretch the stitch for stimulate my cervix for her to stay inside a while longer.

TinyTear · 23/02/2015 08:16

Thursday I have scan and consultant appointment... at least now I'm on the bedtime insulin the fasting readings have been ok, mostly...

Work is really busy and I am ready to stop, but still have 3 weeks to go...

Next weekend will be IKEA day (eeek) as we need a new wardrobe for newbie and maybe a bedside lamp and rug for DD

I have a midwife appointment on Thursday. I have a scan & consultant appointment next Thursday. Apart from that my time is filled working, doing homework with DS and slowly panicking that I need to get a move on in buying Bunny's stuff. So far, I have bought.... absolutely nothing! I need a pushchair, bedside crib, car seat, nappies, clothes etc.

Oh and I have 7 weeks till I start my maternity leave Grin Grin Grin

LittleBairn · 23/02/2015 14:32

Ahhhh need to rant. Just answered the door something I rarely do because we have had issue with cold callers in the past.
Once again another arrogant shit that works for Scottish hydro basically trying to bully his way in to read the meter. My DH calls monthly to give them a reading they don't need access to our home.
I tried to explain I'm on bed rest to prevent premature labour my bed is in the way apparently that doesn't 'bloody help me' well I'm so bloody sorry that I'm choosing the life and health of my child over YOU.

Honestly I've lived the length and breadth of the UK, we live in a nice desirable part of town but I've never in my life had to put up with constant harassment at my own door like I've had to since we moved here.
We've had a thieving postman he was apparently 'looking after' my wedding ring for me who then threatened me with 'I know where you live'.
We had 3 cold callers gang up on us at the beginning of this pregnancy and we had to call the police. And we have had constant issues with Scottish hydro and the staff they employ being abusive and one actually tried to push his way in once.
Seriously I would rather buy a piece of land in the middle of nowhere and live in a caravan than this 'desirable' address as the estate agents like to call it.
