And I just had a sa-be with as my mate was a stockist at the time and recommended them. They're only about £25 and I loved it. It's like they're weightless. Only way I ever got anything done!

TheDetective · 30/11/2014 20:25

inpatience I find that the usual symptoms of these things (UTI's/thrush etc) display differently to my usual symptoms when I'm pregnant.

It's odd.

It does sound like thrush. I sometimes get it like that, then get the discharge later, or not at all if I treat quickly.

Newshoesplease · 30/11/2014 20:29

Marking place! Due 12th june. Scan on Tues. Have hyperemesis so pregnancy been hell up til now!

impatienceisavirtue · 30/11/2014 20:35

Thanks detective - I can't remember, it's the cream I can have right?

TheDetective · 30/11/2014 20:37

Cream and pessary yes, not the tablet. I'd just double check though, as I'm not 100% under 12 weeks.

impatienceisavirtue · 30/11/2014 20:42

Thanks, I will give my completely mental midwife a ring in the morning and check

First puke today at 10+1, wtf?!

I thought if escaped it as was feeling good last week, felt fecking awful today!

DS is ill so has been awake a lot last 2 nights so I'm sure tiredness not helping. Can't face dinner, just want to sleeeeeep.

TheDetective · 30/11/2014 20:51

Jackie exactly the same happened to me! First vom at 10+1, and my next one was at 10+4 yesterday. Nausea definitely ramped up post 10 weeks Shock the bastard!

Keep eating, little and often. My fault is getting too empty Grin. I'm just grateful for regular sickness not what I've had previous times! Food didn't solve anything the last 2 babies :( So I might put a few lb on in the process, never mind Wink.

I'm off to the christmas markets in the morning. All that food! Except I can only eat little bits! So frustrating! I just can't stuff myself. Small bits, every 2 hours! Or I feel like shit!

Oooh. Since being pregnant one of my aversions has been my usual drink of pepsi max. In fact, I can't tolerate anything fizzy or flavoured. So I'm stuck with water. I've been drinking over 3L a day Shock which is crazy for me. Yet my pee is still dark like I'm dehydrated. I might need to see the GP as surely I shouldn't have concentrated pee on 3L of water a day!

Thelovecats · 30/11/2014 21:11

thedetective I will have 2 years 9 months between DD and new baby. DS will be nearly 6. Glad I'm not the only one whose nausea has got worse since 10 weeks (I'm 10+5 today). I was hardly nauseous at all last time and I'm finding it pretty hard going with looking after the other kids too!

I have a BJCM GT too. I will be using a sling mostly, but am looking at some kind of liner/headhugger/cocoon thing maybe for the main seat so I could in theory use it for baby. DD is rubbish at walking just now, but she has a while to get used to the idea, and to be fair our lifestyle means we're not actually walking long distances.

Anyone who is not used to slings, the best advice I could give you is to get to a sling meeting when your baby is born. A lot will depend on your babies temperament too. My son was happy to sleep in a pram or cot, my daughter was seriously unsettled and colicky and just wanted to be held constantly, so a sling wasn't just useful, it was essential!

My double buggy was a god send. Can only just manage my eldest walking now at 4yo. Always good to be able to restrain them when necessary.

My gap is 21mths. It's been hard at times. Much better gap this time at 35mths.

Bingo - my gap will be 20 months! Previous gap is 13.5 years.

Definitely getting some sort of double buggy (prob converting our Vista as I said earlier). My mum keeps telling me I can get DD into a bed before the new baby comes so I won't need a new cot. I don't believe her! Did you keep two cots?

TheDetective · 30/11/2014 22:24

So far DH has had to hold me on the toilet when I had D&V last week. While I was shitting. And retching. And me crying and saying I'm sorry Blush Blush Blush.

And DS1 has had to whip the bowl out the kitchen sink, and hold my hair back. Then make me a bacon butty straight after!

Vomiting turns me pathetic! I also piss myself. Which is brilliant. Hmm

Tranquilitybaby · 30/11/2014 22:26

Ah thanks detective, But I wish I hadn't shopped there in 6 months, I ordered two weeks ago! Shock

Please don't say sickness can start post 10 weeks, all I've had is nausea, no actually vomiting so far. 10+5 today.

TheDetective · 30/11/2014 22:26

I'm playing the cot situation by ear.

I've got a cot bed. Baby will need it when DS2 is around 3.

We've attempted to take the sides off the cot once - was a disaster (he was climbing out). So we put him in a sleeping bag that he can't escape from and put the sides back on.

I'll try him in a bed around 6 weeks before the baby is due (so I don't have to to do it when the baby comes!). I'll keep it as a bed until the baby needs it. Then I need to decide whether to buy a cheap cot for the baby, or a bed for the toddler.

Tranquilitybaby · 30/11/2014 22:27

My age gaps are huge, they'll be 13 and 10 years! Eek

TheDetective · 30/11/2014 22:30

Ds1 was 10 when DS2 arrived! Nice gap in that he can help. But not so nice in that it's impossible to do things as a family. DS1 doesn't want to do what DS2 can do, and DS2 can't do what DS1 does!

Wouldn't change the gap though!

Thelovecats · 30/11/2014 22:31

I put dd in a bed at 17 months, and at 18 months she was in a full single with a bed guard. She has a very small and safe bedroom and we put a gate across the door. Took a few nights but she got the hang of it pretty quickly. All kids are different though!

TheDetective · 30/11/2014 22:33

My little sod was a nightmare, we persevered a month. He would take 2 hours to fall asleep, and then would wake over and over and over, and get up at 6am. He would wake 5-10 times screaming for no reason, and you had to go in and sit with him til he fell back asleep.

Think it was a security thing. Soon as we put him back in the cot he was back to sleeping 7.30pm-8-9am. Yay.

Tranquilitybaby · 30/11/2014 22:34

I'm sure it'll be fine (hopes!) they're very excited and have been so good not saying a word to anyone bless them.

TheDetective · 30/11/2014 22:35

DS1 isn't as excited this time. He knows the full reality Grin. Poor DS1! His brother is HARD WORK!

Thelovecats · 30/11/2014 22:45

Yes, my first was a total nightmare going into a bed, that's why I say every child is different Grin
