Hi all,

Good luck to those with scans this week and sorry to those of us who are poorly!

Well I got my harmony results back and all good and found out we are having another boy, so excited!

X

AnythingNotEverything · 07/12/2014 21:09

Sun baby's heart rate is much faster than yours and sounds like a train.

cuphat · 07/12/2014 21:54

I've bought a couple of those books for DD for Christmas, ememsmum, so good to hear them get a mention.

Yes, baby's heart rate is much faster. If you find yours you'll hear a difference. You can also hear the placenta whooshing. We're digging our Doppler out now.

Wishing you well Osney, you've really been through it. Enjoy your lovely friends looking after you.

Bingo - I have my NHS nuchal the day before my private one too. The consultant at the FMC said i may as well cancel the NHS one but the hospital want it for the record so in going to both. Hope they see the nasal bone this time. Are you AM or PM on Friday?

Had anyone got a bugaboo bee plus? My friend's selling one with footmuff and accessories for £200. Can't decide!

ots · 07/12/2014 23:03

My sister has a Bee plus. Love it! It's the best pram I've ever used (and I've used loads). £200 is a good price too. Does that include a baby nest bit (maybe called a cocoon). My sister used one and her DD always looked so snuggly in it :)

StopEatingThatMud · 07/12/2014 23:18

Anyone erring on not getting their flu jab, please go and get it!

Have the most horrendous coldy/viral thing and I literally want to curl up in a ball and cry. Nearly passed out at the services on the way home from DD's ballet performance earlier. I've been in bed since 7, woke up around an hour ago as my temperature had rocketed but can't take any more paracetamol til 12.30ish Sad

DP also has it and my flu jab was weeks ago (he's not had one) so I don't there's a correlation between having had it, but I cannot imagine how rough I would have been feeling without it!

ememsmum · 08/12/2014 00:04

Stop I have just vomited a little into my mouth from coughing so hard. Have DD's rotten cold. Took 2 paracetamol so I could actually sleep tonight and still awake 3 hours later. Am glad I had my flu jab coz this has hit me really hard and I dread to think what the flu would be like. Weirdly enough I had a super immune system first time round and managed to avoid all the colds at work AND norovirus.

ememsmum · 08/12/2014 00:05

Hope you feel better soon my dear Flowers

StopEatingThatMud · 08/12/2014 02:35

You too emems Flowers

Been awake every half hour or so, so far but feeling a million times better than earlier and finally got temp below 38!

Fretting over work again as meant to start a new temporary role tomorrow. Had a day off sick last week with migraine - my 4th in 5 years of working there so really don't want another already and can't afford to lose another days pay!

Emz1989 · 08/12/2014 05:46

It must be a night for being ill, so far during this pg I've managed to escape any sort of sickness but I've spent tonight awake feeling shivery and sweaty, and I've just spent the last half an hour vomiting. I did go for a meal with a few friends last night and as I was eating I wondered whether it was going to stay down!! Either MS has decided to strike at 11+4 or I've picked up a bug Sad
First day off work sick since pg so don't feel too awful about that but I do have my scan booked for Tues morning so fingers crossed no more sickness before then!!
I have had my flu jab, but not sure that's relevant with this!
Sorry to hear you're feeling under the weather too emems and stop Flowers

Tranquilitybaby · 08/12/2014 07:38

Thanks ots, it doesn't include the cocoon but that's ok, it does include footmuff, uv sun canopy and rain cover, x
Aww get well soon everyone, wrap up warm and rest lots.

Alisvolatpropiis · 08/12/2014 07:57

Sorry to see so many of you are ill! Hope you feel better soon.

Chookford · 08/12/2014 08:21

newbie massive congrats on your little boy!! Lovely news

sun lovely to hear the heartbeat! Congrats! Smile

stop and emems hope you start to feel better soon, rest up!

Good luck to all those having scans this week!

Right go to brace myself for this cold and do the school run! God this is going to be so much harder with a new born as well! Confused

ChatEnOeuf · 08/12/2014 09:32

Sorry to see all the illnesses - how rude just as we're trying to leave the first trimester misery behind!

Newbie, glad everything is ok on the Harmony tests.

DD loves the Mr Men and Little Miss books at the moment, as well as most stuff by Julia Donaldson. Probably her favourite though, is The Tickle Monster :)

Scan day tomorrow, bit scared! Anyone else?

Chookford · 08/12/2014 10:09

chat good luck today, sure everything will be just fine and will look forward to seeing a lovely scan pic later on!

Chookford · 08/12/2014 10:09

Sorry chat good luck tomorrow!

Emz1989 · 08/12/2014 10:56

Hi chat it's my scan day tomorrow too!! We haven't had a private scan or anything yet, so this will be our first glimpse at our little bean! Excited, anxious, nervous all in equal measures!!

BingoBonkers · 08/12/2014 10:59

Tranq my results are going to be given over the phone as they said no need for me to go in for an appt as they've don't the nuchal. Really hoping they call early. And with good news.

Chookford · 08/12/2014 11:49

emz good luck tomorrow too.. Will be nice to see some more scan pics!

ots · 08/12/2014 12:12
