Good luck for those getting results and scans this week.

I've got harmony results and scan this wed. Have had 12 week nhs scan so hopefully more of a reassurance. Will be finding out the sex too!

BingoBonkers · 08/12/2014 15:45

FMC called today and Harmony results given. All good! Risk/Odds now in ten thousand!

Now not to fret about absent nasal bone and what that might mean.

croon979 · 08/12/2014 15:48

Hello all, good luck for those with scans coming up this week. I have some more dates for the stats Jazzy - 16 week appointment is 18/12, private harmony test and gender scan is 06/01 and 20 week appointment is 21/01. Diary filling up nicely....Thanks!!

I have had a lovely day off work. Am using up my holidays before year end. Also taken off next Monday and Wednesday afternoon too! I could get used to this....have spent the day assembling my grotto at home (I love christmas decs), writing christmas cards and watching naff christmas films on true movies. Pregnancy hormones must have kicked in a little as I had a bit if a weep in one of them!

croon979 · 08/12/2014 15:49

Tori, thats abit odd isnt it.. I once had a row with gp before ttc when they told me i should loose abit of weight, i asked to b referred to dietician and was told it was only in 'extreme' cases - i really think they should be giving the help if its asked for and like u say if they are concerned with bmi then giving a handbook or further info at booking when pregnant.
Even with parentcraft classes non of us know how we will handle the pain and the best options for us until we are in that labour.

bingo fabulous news! Congrats!

Orville82 · 08/12/2014 17:58

Excellent news Bingo. What a relief fir you.
I've just woken up from a nap which was much needed. Have discovered that if i do a week of "normal" hours like last week's 9-5 lasting over 6 days, it knocks me for six! Thought I'd escaped the crippling tiredness thing, but turns out my body was just saving it all up to wipe me out in one go!

Im pretty certain i don't have a UTI or anything, but has anyone else found that they have a weird sort of pulling pain when they empty their bladder? Been getting stretching pains all last week which I know is normal, but the peeing thing has gone on a couple of weeks now and just wondered if it was a standard symptom?

ots I'll be interested to hear how you get on with consultant as I had the same procedure earlier this year and was told to mention it to my GP if I became pregnant due to possible cervix weakening. Of course my marvellous (ahem) GP totally dismissed it when i mentioned it & I'm still yet to be in contact with a midwife. I think i may bring it up again at my scan on Fri as my hospital has a good reputation so the message should hopefully get passed on and I'm fairly aware there's a time restriction if you need a stitch.

Emz1989 · 08/12/2014 18:18

Thanks jazzy I'm 25, this is my first pregnancy, scan was originally 17th dec but changed to tomorrow! Grin I don't think we're going to find out, we'll not if dh gets his way! Not booked in for anything else yet!
I suffer with low blood pressure, iron deficiency anaemia and pernicious anaemia (vit b12 deficiency) so have been referred to a consultant. I've been told it should be fine and I should be midwife led anyway, but need to be checked out. Not actually sure when that will be either!

Tranquilitybaby · 08/12/2014 18:23

Yes chookford this Friday, eek!

Yay bingo fab news!!!! And relax.....

Tranquilitybaby · 08/12/2014 18:25

Good luck for weds Iwant, will be thinking of you.

Orville I get that feeling after weeing too. Think my issue is endo adhesions on my bladder though.

Ah snap Tori that's exactly what I'm having for dinner with salad!! Can't wait

BingoBonkers · 08/12/2014 18:29

Thank you JuneBugs. Smile

Tranq thinking of you for Friday.

ots · 08/12/2014 18:34

Great news Bingo. :)

Had my consultant appointment this afternoon orville. She is referring me for a scan to be on the safe side. She checked my notes from when I had the LLETZ and it says they removed 14mm from my cervix. She said the cervix length is around 3cm so this is quite a lot in proportion. She said she only usually refers women for a scan if their treatment was less than one year ago (mine was about 18 months now) but she wants to to be on the safe side. I'm really nervous. I know its great that they are checking, but I'm still scared. Also worried if its an internal scan (which I'm assuming it will be if they are measuring the cervix), as I don't fully trust internal scans. I know they must be safe, but I mentioned on one of the earlier threads, my last baby died the day after an internal scan and it had all looked fine before that. But at the same time, I don't want to risk going into labor early or anything like that.
I would mention it at your scan if I were you, especially where your treatment was less than a year ago.

ots · 08/12/2014 18:36

Sorry labour (my autocorrect thinks its American Hmm)

mummymog · 08/12/2014 18:45

Oooo lots of exciting scan news from everyone.

Tori- dont know if your bmi is too high or too low, ( and it's none of my bloody business) but could the discussion about pain relief be to do with the added difficulty of epidural with high bmi?

Saw midwife today, Forgot to ask about whooping cough and flu vac today. I'll phone tomorrow.

Turns out someone else in my tiny tiny village, due at the same time as me who is having identical twins too. Clearly something in the water.

Chat and Emz I have my scan tomorrow morning! Also my first pregnancy and first scan.

I'm also excited / anxious / nervous. I was horribly sick this morning I think the nerves are ramping up!!!

I really want to know the sex at some point but my husband doesn't want to find out. Sulk.

I will be thinking of you and good luck to any others who have scans this week.
