Happy Crimbo fellow preggos Smile

Mrsb, really sorry about your loss. Take time to heal and look after yourself xxx

I've had a full on day. No sleep last night thanks to dd. Literally none! luckily nausea hasn't been too bad, as I was doing all the cooking. I struggled a bit with cooking the sprouts though!

I've had bleeding the last few days. Just light spotting yesterday, and a bit more today. No cramps or pain other than back pain, so I'm hoping for the best. I think I'll give our early pregnancy unit a call tomorrow though and see if I can get a scan next week. I was a regular there two years ago trying to get and stay pregnant! Sad

Emb540 · 25/12/2014 22:47

Merry Christmas ladies, been so tired & everyone commenting how pale I look (thanks!!) managed to Greg away only drinking orange juice & lemonade instead of Buck's Fizz & black current & lemonade instead of rose.... But Tomo shall be my big test!!! Mind don't feel well full of cold I think I'm going to play on that big time!! Lol

Anyway hope you're enjoying!! I feel the size of a house!!! Just keeping thinking what next year is going to be like Smile xxx

Sparrowlegs248 · 26/12/2014 09:41

Morning all, merry Christmas to you all. I am way behind on this thread now. 8 +1 for me today. Yesterday was a total write off. I am was are work right up until xmas eve, DH ill, and I felt shocking, so tired. Nauseous. Couldn't even really speak! Were supposed to go to my parents, there would have been 11 of us inc kids, noisy hot and plenty of arguements! We stayed at home. I felt bad but just couldn't have coped .

How do you explain things to DH? Mine must have asked me 6 times what was wrong yesterday, i said i don't feel good, i feel like someone has leached the energy out of me, i feel exhausted, sick etc. Still didn't get it and ended up having a bit of a row because i 'seemed passed off'

Can I just scream 'i'm pregnant you moron now leave me alone?!?!'

Ah. Now that's off my chest......So far i feel better today.

Hope you are all well and sorry to read your news mrsb. Xxx

Sparrowlegs248 · 26/12/2014 09:47

Have just read back a little. We are not offered home births at all. Maybe because we are really rural? I don't mind, its my first, I'm old and already worrying so will happily be in hospital.
I have my scan date through, 23rd Jan. :-) Exciting!! I had to see a consultant as midwife was concerned about a couple of health issues i have and thought i might need clexane injecting. Thankfully not, just extra appointments.

Lilydreams · 26/12/2014 11:28

So I made it through yesterday- was a good day nausea wise and really enjoyed the day! The night was a different story- went to work so full ended up feeling sick all night with trapped wind too. Also had a little bleed which panicked me so much because I've never seen blood so red (tmi!) but after a tearful call to Epu in the car and it stopping as quick as it started I soon calmed down and felt quite silly for crying! Blush

Got home this morning lay on the bathroom floor for about 20 mins nausea passed slightly stood up put pjs on and vommed up the cornflakes I'd had! So clean sheet ruined! Awake now and have to get ready to go my dads for Xmas dinner round 2- dh working so no one to look after me today feel horrific... wish me luck!

Luciferbox · 26/12/2014 15:34

Hope everyone had a good Christmas. I'm at my PIL for the next few days and DH is going to tell them later. I'm really nervous. We know it's early (I'm only 8+2) but we don't see them often. I hope they'll be happy, we already have a DS 3. It will also explain my lack of drinking, tiredness and random waves of sickness.

nannynome · 26/12/2014 15:44

I also need to play thread catch up!

8 +4 today. We let our families know yesterday, since they were spread across the country we sent them all an envelope that said don't open til 2pm Christmas Day. It had a picture of DS1 wearing a t-shirt saying "I'm going to be a big brother"

I can't have a home birth due to needing to be induced, I don't know whether it is offered here or not.

Am curious to know whether jellybean is a girl as my first pregnancy was no morning sickness or issues apart from SPD/GD however this time I have morning sickness and sinusitis kicked in with avengence today :(

How was everybody's Christmas Day? Anyone else told people yet?

Dozygirl · 26/12/2014 16:01

I've been telling people from the start. I'm only 7 weeks today. Just told my brother and his family today because I hadn't seen them yet. They were pleased if a little shocked. I'm 31 but to him I'll always be his baby sister.

Luciferbox · 26/12/2014 17:05

This will be the first person we've told apart from my line manager as I had to organise 2 projects for September so I had to tell him. It's also a help as it explains why I look knackered all the time.

ILoveYouBaby · 26/12/2014 17:22

We're not telling anyone just yet, we're going to wait. It's hard not to give it away at this time of year.

I've managed to avoid nausea for the last few days, but it's just hit after I ate lots of chocolate. Is reassuring but so grim. I'm supposed to cook dinner but I might delegate!

NatalieBee · 26/12/2014 17:37

Hi ladies Smile found out a few days ago I'm pregnant! I am freaking out, I've had three previous miscarriages but have had it looked into and decided that when I am pregnant I'll get an early scan and aspirin along with injections to thin my blood :) so doctors on Monday!

Anyway enough with me worrying ?? I am so exited! Here's to an amazing 2015 girls xx

NatalieBee · 26/12/2014 17:39

Woops here are my stats :)

NatalieBee, No DC, due 28/08/2015

Frolicacid · 26/12/2014 18:06

Hi natalie and congratulations Flowers

We haven't told many people, just a couple of close friends and my line managers at work. We know that both sets of parents will explode with excitement (we've been together 13 years and the all think we don't want kids), so we want to wait until we know everything is ok. we are thinking of a private scan around 8 weeks and may te them after that.

I have managed to fool today's and yesterday's guests by saying I'm too hungover to face any alcohol! I've also ft quite a bit less nauseous and have really enjoyed christmas food!! In fact, I'm so hungry that I can't stop eating today! Just about to go in for some leftovers now.......

I hope everyone is enjoying the festivities Xmas Smile

karatekimmi · 26/12/2014 18:10

Hope you all coped well with Christmas.

So sorry to hear your news MrsB best of luck for the new year

notta I totally get you - My DH knows how I feel and I keep telling him however he keeps telling me I look moody, Im snappy etc. Yes I feel like shit. its not changed in the last 30 mins!! rant over

immediate family know, but I need to get better at lying - plans for next year - I'm celebrating New Years Eve with the friends that I normally go camping with in the summer and I know that nest years plans will be discussed!! I'm not sure that I will be wanting to camp at 8 1/2 months pregnant!! [Grin]

Lilydreams · 26/12/2014 18:21

Glad everyone is having a good Xmas!

Karate and notta- kind of know how you feel- dh is being lovely but whenever I do tell him I feel like crap he says something along the lines of 'your gonna have to man up or it's gonna be a long 9 months!' Think he's struggling because I usually won't admit I'm ill or need help etc! That said I threw up today for the first time and in front of him and he became really sympathetic after that- put a cold flannel on my neck etc whilst I was still hunched over the bog!! Maybe you need to try it! Grin

Made it through today at my dads- ate barely anything compared to yesterday and feel better for it but have had horrendous trots today and stomach feels like a vat of acid! Off to work shortly when all I want to do is get pjs on and chill not wander around in the snow freezing!! Ah well can't have everything I suppose!!

I'm jealous of all those who have shared their news- we are waiting till we've had private scan next week at 8+1 and then till the week after when we've been skiing- although everything I've read and been told says is fine to ski this early as bean is snuggled safely in pelvis I know the in laws and parents will judge/overly worry if they know before we go away! We're going to build a mini snowman and have a photo with it whilst we are away with a question mark on it and 'expected august 2015' written in snow and then when we get back go to show our 'holiday photos' with that one casually in there and wait for their reactions! Can't wait!

Dozygirl · 26/12/2014 18:36

Awww lily that's a fab idea! Enjoy the ski trip. I'm gonna give it ago in march if I still fit in my ski pants lol.

Emb540 · 26/12/2014 21:11

I survived today!! Played the feel rough and head ache card whoop
But I think my mum is suspicious! Lol

Talking of holidays I'm in the process of looking we just come back from Disney & have holiday blues, it's my 30th next year so looking for a weeks holiday somewhere but would I be mad going abroad 7 months preggers?? Confused

Brummiegirl15 · 26/12/2014 23:12

Only thing emb is that from your 28th week (which starts on 27+1 so a bit misleading) you will need a fit to fly note from your midwife or GP

So not mad but I wouldn't book anything potentially just yet just in case!

Emb540 · 27/12/2014 10:22

Ahhh it's 27 I thought it was 30. Tbh I'm not keen going abroad that far gone. Just have to go on a uk holiday Smile

My sickness has disappeared!! Whoooop still nothing from MW but I'll wait till 10 weeks & start chasing. Xx

mzzzf · 27/12/2014 11:05

Morning all!
What a last few days. We had the MIL staying for almost a week - tooooo long! Then yesterday the BIL and his troops came over for what I though was just the day but invited themselves to stay the night as both BIL and SIL started drinking. I could have cried, I'm so tired but had to keep being the gracious hostess for an extra 24hrs.
Plus quite rudely, despite me cooking a lovely lunch and dinner, the BIL and SIL went out to the local coop for booze and then treated themselves to a macdonalds on route!!!

Anyway, today will be better, heading home to my mum to tell her and to enjoy being the guest instead of the host! Grin

Hope it's all going well for you all!

toothachereturns · 27/12/2014 11:19

mzzzf that sounds excruciating. And rude! Hmm

Never thought id ever say this, but I'll be so glad when the festive period is over! I'll be even gladder when 1st trimester is over. Only at 6 wks and I'm SO tired and my boobs hurt so much I could scream! Work is going to be a chore next week.
DH just brought me a ginger and lemon tea I bed so I'm not feeling too sick.
My rose tinted specs are definitely off now.... and smashed on the floor. This is my 3rd, with 11 yrs since my last baby...... I had forgotten all of this lol. Wouldn't change it all for the world tho.... just having a crap day and feeling sorry for myself. Hope you ladies are riding the 1st trimester storm better than me!

xBlueberry88x · 27/12/2014 11:22

Well this pregnancy is destroying my sleep last night every couple of hours woke up with bad cramps and had to rush to the loo.
All I could face for breakfast was a chocolate moose and pringles!

mzzzzf Family can be annoying! enjoy today though!

My dp doesnt quite get how shit im feeling either or how tired he just thinks im being lazy!

Hope everyone is ok

ILoveYouBaby · 27/12/2014 11:35

Pregnancy exhaustion has hit! After a bad night and a 6am wake up, I've been in bed since 9. I'm torn between not having the energy to raise my head from the pillow, and feeling sick.

ChanceBeAFineThing · 27/12/2014 12:12

I have well and truly checked out physically and mentally. Now at 8+6, and saw midwife on Monday, my bp is really low, hence feeling so bad. Luckily DH is well practiced as it's DC3 so is running the show. I really need to get him a medal or something, if only I had the energy do anything other than sit on the sofa and stare into space Grin

otter32 · 27/12/2014 14:08

I must admit, my tiredness is what keeps getting worse! Had a letter through for my proper midwife booking in appointment on 7 Jan. So hopefully will find out the date of my first NHS scan then too!

Suppose I'd best dry my hair now after just getting out of the bath! Lazy day for me today!

Hope you're all well. And a late merry Christmas to you all!
