Yay!!!! Got my Nifty results back finally and I got lowest risk for all trisomies, Downs, Edwards, Pateaus, Turners etc. I wasn't really listening after that!

I'm over the moon!!
Oh, and I'm having a boy!!

Royalsteph · 17/11/2014 11:31

congratulations on the test results. Yay to a boy!! Smile

TotallyKerplunked · 17/11/2014 11:34

Hi all, can I join? I've been following your threads but wanted to make sure all was well before I joined in (previous MCs).

I'm due 19th May and its all got a bit real so I cant live in denial anymore, pregnant out of the blue with DC2 when DC1 took years of trying/meds! I had pre-eclampsia with DS so wasn't planning on any more.

All of the previous pregnancy symptoms have returned with a vengeance, I forgot how glamorous pregnancy can be.

longestlurkerever · 17/11/2014 12:41

Excellent news turquoise. Welcome and congratulations kerplunked!

aberjen · 17/11/2014 12:47

Brilliant news turquoise, hurrah!

Welcome totally (and all the other newcomers who I've missed...)

Glad you're feeling a bit better today inthewoods I think a lot of those fears can be quite common, but do talk to your midwife if it's overwhelming you Smile No idea if this helps at all, but what helps me is knowing that things did get better - ie, yes it was awful, but it was temporary, so if I struggle again this time I know that I can get past it as long as I remember and am not afraid to ask for help. Don't know if that makes sense at all? And hope it doesn't sound flippant, it really is so hard when you're going through it.

*2preteens" Oh no! Hope it's short-lived.

Tits poor you, hope the end of the ms is in sight. And marvellous advice from your DS, if only I'd known sooner! Grin

jazzyjenbo · 17/11/2014 13:38

Hi Everyone,
I just found out about this thread, I'm due on 13 May, my first ever pregnancy. It was very much planned and wanted but both DH and I are feeling quite nervous about the prospect of being parents. I have pretty much every symptom under the sun and have been feeling pretty rough since day one, I'm hoping a praying for the magical 2nd trimester super woman feeling to kick in, but no sign of it yet...
Congratulations to everyone else due in May, I'm looking forward to spending the next 6 months with you all. xx

FeelingBlessed77 · 17/11/2014 14:16

Just had a bit of a scare, went to the toilet, then wiped and a bit of blood on tissue, rang the EPU and they said it could be nothing, as DTD with OH last night, and at 15 weeks things start getting heavier, i.e. womb and stuff, so might be a burst blood vessel. Was very nervous ringing them though, at least my mind is slightly more at ease now

Turquoisetamborine · 17/11/2014 17:57

I feel confident to be added to the stats now!! Would someone who has a PC mind doing it? I only have an iPad. I'm 35, from Durham, this is baby number 2, due date 14/5 and don't have any other details at present ??
Welcome to all the newbies!

Turquoisetamborine · 17/11/2014 18:00

Feelingblessed I hope the bleed turns out to be nothing. I think it's very common after DTD.

Bazza2 · 17/11/2014 18:04

Hi all. I've been on the June thread (I recognise a few of you from there) but I had my 12 week scan today and they put me as 12+6, making my due date May 26th. So I'm going to hang around on both threads.

Christelle2207 · 17/11/2014 18:07

Blessed I had similar a few days ago, no DTD though. Was told not to worry unless it carries on and that its common after dtd. Luckily it stopped.

FeelingBlessed77 · 17/11/2014 18:21

Bleeding has stopped now. Thanks for your support guys.

KittyVonCatsington · 17/11/2014 18:52

turquoise yay so pleased for you! And a boy, lovely!! I think you must be the first to find out? Wonder if we will all be mainly blues or pinks Smile

Turquoisetamborine · 18/11/2014 16:10

Thanks for the congrats everyone. My proper letter with my testing results came today and my odds of Down's syndrome went from 1 in 28 to 1 in 87million and even higher for the other trisomies.

I wasn't going to find the sex but I've been so worried that I had to have something to keep me going!

Glad your scan went well Scottish and Kyz!!

KittyVonCatsington · 18/11/2014 16:46

ellstor the FB groupies secret. PM me your email address and I'll send you the link to join Smile

I'd have needed something to cheer me up to Turquiose so totally understand the need to find out Grin

Good news on your scan kyz - seeing Baby is the best!

2preteendramaqueens · 18/11/2014 18:21

Evening ladies I had my 16 week mw app today and heard baby's heartbeat Smile only just though as the silly mw didn't seem to know what she was doing and was looking concerned about not finding it but I could feel it moving around so I knew it was still there iv also be rushed forward for the glucose test instead of having it done at 28 weeks they've booked me in on thurs Hmm

longestlurkerever · 18/11/2014 19:20

Good stuff turquoise. I just got my results back from my combined test and it's very low so v pleased. Feels like another box ticked and I am feeling more positive about this pregnancy. Even wore my baby on board badge on the tube today!

Good luck with that 2. Apparently it's not that pleasant but I have to have one later on too.
