Evening all :)

16 week appt went well, however mw didn't listen for hb :( bummer! So my mind is not put at rest and I am just twiddling my thumbs trying not to worry that I haven't felt any movement yet and I haven't heard the hb either!

thankyou plinky, Congratulations on being team pink!! I'm to do it on my tummy, and chubby bits on my legs plentiful, so that's good for once!!! Thanks for the tip re: not touching it, I wasn't told that, just told to not do it after a bath or shower as i'm more likely to bruise.

lovely clear pic just! No idea re: gender but i'm going to guess anyway and go for boy, just to be different!

fluffeh congrats on being team blue!

congrats mumof3 i bet 3 boys is brilliant so 4 will be just fab i'm sure :D

hope you're feeling better soon smiley

mumxof3x · 10/12/2014 22:03

Mslad, lol at the hand in the tan.

Thankyou ladies. I am super chuffed at having 4 boys :D and I defo expected it as dp is the youngest of 4 boys and his father was 1 child of 15 only 2 of those was girls :) wow lol

Scottishgal78 · 10/12/2014 22:20

Congratulations everyone on all the lovely scan news!

Fluffeh · 11/12/2014 08:43

Mum - I may be coming to you for boy clothes advice. I can't find anything bright and cute just lots of brown/blue/grey boo. Dd had so many pretty bright coloured things and I just took it for granted.
Dp is also being rubbish with names. He hates everything I like. I can see this one being called baby boy forever haha.

Titsalinabumsquash · 11/12/2014 08:49

H&M is your friend Fluff! All of my boys have their clothes from there, they're not expensive and lovely bright basics and more fun stuff than the usual dross they have most places for boys. Smile

Congrats on all the scans.
Wonderful news for everyone!

Good luck for everyone having scans today also! Xmas Smile

piglet81 · 11/12/2014 09:59

So pleased to hear all the good scan news, and good luck for those coming up. Ours is a week tomorrow - really hope the little bean is all fine. I think I can feel him/her wriggling a bit now...

aberjen · 11/12/2014 12:24

Aww, lots of lovely scan news, so exciting!

Fluffeh it took us until 4 weeks post-birth to agree on a name for DD, so we called her baby girl or BG in the mean time and we still often refer to her as BG now Blush

Purpleshoes2 · 11/12/2014 12:55

Finally some good news from the physio Grin I'm no longer wonky - bones are back where they should be, I will be on crutches certainly for the rest of this year because the muscles need to adapt to the new position.

I love hearing all about your scans and can't wait to find out what we're having

Turquoisetamborine · 11/12/2014 13:17

Fluff Next is lovely for boys clothes.

mumxof3x · 11/12/2014 13:40

Fluff, when ds3 was born I got lots of nice bright sleepsuits/rompers from boots, I also got bright ones from matalans and next too. Im not too keen on just blue things either. But I havnt had a look at any kind of clothes as yet, I had ds3 in summer last year and didnt start clothes shopping till probably june. so not sure if colour schemes on clothes will be any different lol. I also bought him plenty of white, beige and yellows

Threesoundslikealot · 11/12/2014 14:35

Hello, everyone. I was on early threads and then got hopelessly left behind when I went away! So lovely to see so many have had your scans and good news.

I'm nearly 19 weeks and everything is going smoothly. Have had previous GD and SPD, and no symptoms of either yet this time round. 16 week appointment was as quick as they ever are, but heartbeat heard, so hurray! No scan until early Jan as my hospital does 22 week ones, and Christmas/New Year makes it even later, but that's happened to me both times before and it didn't cause any problems.

Number three means we own everything already that we possibly could. We have a Bugaboo Bee if anyone has any questions, but I mostly use slings.

I look forward to reading loads more about you all!

mumxof3x · 11/12/2014 14:45

Crikey three, im having no4 but have to start from scratch again and my last one was only last year lol. I convinced myself each time id hsve no more, so got rid of everything. Now I really wish id have kept them lol. Im glad you have no spd yet, im same had it with ds2&3 but so far have nothing :) hope it stays away for you. And welcome back x

Threesoundslikealot · 11/12/2014 14:48

Thanks!

My eldest will turn four around the time this one is born, and we always hoped for three, so luckily we have kept everything. I am sooo looking forward to getting rid of it all after this though - the clutter...

mumxof3x · 11/12/2014 14:52

Thats around the age gap I had with my 3, ds1 was 4 when ds3 was born and ds2 was 2 :) its lovely having them close x

Threesoundslikealot · 11/12/2014 14:55

And you're not only alive to tell the tale, but having another. Grin Very reassuring.

Mine will all be born (assuming all goes well with this one) within a week or so of each other, so our timing has been pretty clockwork.

cuphat · 11/12/2014 15:21

I've had my 16 week midwife appointment. All is good. Next one is at 28 weeks (as second baby)! Have a consultant appt coming up soon though due to previous section.

I've had my 20 week scan date too: 9th Jan - not long!

I have a DD and this will be our last baby; I can't wait to get rid of everything. I think this one will be a boy so I can get rid of DD's clothes soon and start afresh. The age gap will be almost two years exactly.

mumxof3x · 11/12/2014 16:12

Haha well I honestly thought I wasnt having a 4th I really had shock of my life when I found out. But im really excited now about having 4 boys and closer together.

Cuphat good news on your 16wk appointment :)

I lituraly got rid of all my newborn - 6/9 month clothes about 6 weeks before finding out I was pregnant. And they were all immaculate. Totally regret it lol.

Turquoisetamborine · 11/12/2014 17:59

Ah mumof3 I kept my DS's clothes and he's six! I only kept the high quality stuff though, Marks and Spencer, Boden etc. I chucked the supermarket stuff. I still have literally about 10 binbags of stuff from 0-6 so I won't need any clothes at all.
I've had them laundered and they've come out beautifully and haven't dated. They were mostly presents as DS was the first grandchild on three sides so he was spoilt to bits.

I am going to buy a new coming home from the hospital outfit though for baby.

This is my checklist of what I'll need to buy.
Travel system inc carrycot, pushchair and car seat
Cot
Changing table
Changing mat
Changing bag
Baby monitor
Muslins
Bibs
Feeding pillow
Sling
Bouncy chair
Bedding for cot
Three sided crib
Socks
Blankets
Bath foam support
Nursing chair
Lansinoh
Sponge

I reckon that will add up to a fortune so the sooner I start buying things the better.

KittyVonCatsington · 11/12/2014 18:27

Evening Ladies!!!

Had my Anomaly 20 week scan today and very pleased to say Kitlet (scan picture attached) was a star and is developing perfectly. It was so different to see a much larger baby on screen, that unlike the 12 week scan, quite often I had no idea what I was looking at!! Xmas Blush
All measurements were great (a couple were quite small at first so I was rescanned to re-do some of them to check). EDD is still the same - 3rd May 2015.

Oh....and Kitlet is a Girl!!!!!!! Xmas Grin

May 2015 - thread 4 - the one where it all gets real!
bradders85 · 11/12/2014 18:45

Great news Kitty and congrats on team pink! :-) I have got my re-scan date through (INSET day!) after they couldn't get all measurements last time as baby all curled up!

Chookford · 11/12/2014 18:57

kitty congrats on your little girl, lovely news.

I have kept a lot of my dd's stuff too (quality stuff) so of this one is a boy I will need to start from scratch clothes wise! That's a little daunting!

Can I ask and I'm really sorry if this is TMI but is anyone still having quite a lot of creamy cm? I seem to be still having a fair bit and I can't remember if I did with dd or not! Confused I'm not sure if this is anything to worry about ( a new worry... Oh good!)

bradders85 · 11/12/2014 18:58

chookford I am having the same issue and have had for most of the pregnancy!

Chookford · 11/12/2014 19:01

bradders thank you for the quick response! I'm glad I'm not the only one then, it's a bit gloopy (Blush) at times too... I feel like I'm constantly swimming in the stuff! I know I don't have any infections or anything as midwife checked last week so must just be one of those lovely pregnancy things!

bradders85 · 11/12/2014 19:06

exactly the same! Blush
