Scottish - I'm way down at IRH for my midwife care. RAH for delivery as the consultant led unit is there.
How is the new SGH?

shinyhappyone · 08/12/2014 18:31

We bought the giggle last week chookford and turquoise. Great deal with pretty much a free car seat and love the bright colours. We went for fable. Even more chuffed with it when we got it in and out if the car...so light! Cosatto have had a bad press recently but seem to have fixed theirs probs xx

Sunshinesaz86 · 08/12/2014 19:16

I forgot to say this morning I had a really vivid dream last night that I was having a girl. So strange as still absolutely no preference nor inkling as to what we have and after I've also referred to it as a girl more than once........like a sub-concious thing?

Anyone else dreamt of their babies gender and any of u who have found out have u been right? X

Hi all, just checking in. Lovely to see some more scan pics, I've got to wait until New Years eve :( re '20' week scan does it have to be by 20w?? As I'm booked in halfway through my 21w.....

Haven't felt any movements yet and am in 18w and apart from feeling fatter (but no proper bump yet just my normal fat rolls bloated!!) don't really feel pregnant...wish could feel movements or something as still got 3 weeks to go....

Mslad · 08/12/2014 20:00

Scooby I'm completely useless at taking my own advice, but would say try not to worry, for a lot of people they don't feel anything until later, and at least Christmas will take our minds off the waiting for our scans......I'm in the same boat as you. I have to wait till January 7th for my scan when I'll be just 22 weeks, and I have no movement yet either. I think I have a bump, but perhaps I'm kidding myself and it's just bloat Sad

Chookford · 08/12/2014 20:21

shiny that's im the one I'm leaning towards fable I saw it in mothercare last week and really liked it! Just got to take dh into getting a new one now! Wink

Snooky17 · 08/12/2014 21:11

I really like the cosatto one too but all the bad press puts me off a bit but then I think should I just buy a second hand one it's def my last child guess there's time to decide.
I also haven't felt any movements, 17 weeks today with 4th so thought I should, anterior placenta so am guessing that's why but then my head goes into worry mode as on scans she's moving but not the somersaults etc that others post about.
I have had dreams about having a boy lots of times before scan confirmed its a girl so no psychic powers here lol

Scottishgal78 · 08/12/2014 21:17

Lina-only been once for 12w scan. Midwife appts at my local health centre. SGH seemed ok. Staff were nice.

Fluffeh · 09/12/2014 08:51

I'm feeling movements at last. Last time I could feel them at 16 weeks, I'm 18 weeks today and have been feeling it move for a few days but definite wriggles last night and this morning.
My 20wk scan is for 29th I'll be 21 weeks so I don't think it matters too much.
Although because I'm impatient and want to know if I need to swap out the girl things for less girly things I've booked a private gender scan for tomorrow. Only dp and me know though, I can't decide whether to tell anyone in rl what it says.

Sunshinesaz86 · 09/12/2014 09:29

thats exciting Fluffeh im so envious of everyone finding out! But still happy to wait...........just! My 20 week is also on the 29th Dec fluff, ill also be over 20 weeks by then too! :)

Have you any preference to what your hoping for? x

Chookford · 09/12/2014 10:33

Morning Ladies

Fluffeh oooh exciting times, do you have any sort of inkling on what your having?!

mumxof3x · 09/12/2014 11:27

My letter I got with anomaly scan said its done between 18+0 and 20+6 so im not sure, must be different at different hospitals

mumxof3x · 09/12/2014 11:33

Ohh sorry I missed the posts asking about the scans but that is what my letter does say 18+0 to 20+6 it is probably different in different hospitals but that is what it is at mine. Im sure it will be just mine, they wouldnt book you in for later if its not there policy too I dont think

WigglyWigglyWoo · 09/12/2014 11:37

Is anyone else getting soreness in their lower abdomen? Really low down achy and feels as though the muscles are really stiff (like the day after you do sit ups)- which I definitely haven't been doing!! Is it just everything growing?

Fluffeh · 09/12/2014 11:38

I honestly thought boy at the 12wk scan but not I don't know. It's why I bugged dp to agree to the scan. And it was only £39 and very local so a bargain really. Don't know if I'll sleep tonight being excited to find out. I'd love another girl so DD has a sister to share growing up with but I'd love a boy so I had one of each and my family needs more boys.
I know I'll be delighted either way.

mumxof3x · 09/12/2014 11:43

I think boy. But I had a traveller woman stop me in town and tell me I was going to have a daughter and the month before I found out I was pregnant I had a really vivid dream about giving birth on my mums bathroom floor to a little girl. But because I have 3 boys and MIL had 4boys I think this will be a boy. Not finding out at the scan tommorow

mumxof3x · 09/12/2014 11:59

Yes wiggly, mine does it alot it gets tender to touch too, also like when been doin sit ups xx

Chookford · 09/12/2014 13:46

Fluffeh I am the same would like another girl so my dd has a sister to play with but would like a boy so have one of each and this will be my last baby so would be nice... but as you say as long as baby is ok I don't really care! Although dd did inform me that boys stink so she doesn't want a brother and if it is a boy he will have to live in the garage! Grin

shinyhappyone · 09/12/2014 17:23

Yes, wiggly. I've been having those pains all week. I'm glad I'm not the only one! xx

jazzyjenbo · 09/12/2014 19:05

Just thought i'd pop in to say Hi and that i've just been quietly lurking!

So nice to see healthy scans and to see boys and girls all over!

Just feeling alot behind on this thread tbh as only 15 weeks and with 31st May edd (with tori) bringing up the rear! Not having a gender scan either so got to wait until 12th Jan for 20 week scan at 20+1.

Also not been able to join in with mat leave chat/mat pay chat as i'm self employed so only taking afew weeks off work.. And prams etc, i already own 5 so no new ones here! Lol

Still, i love reading everyones updates etc x

Kyz · 09/12/2014 20:22

Evening all! Not been on for days, been really busy!

Tits thanks for sharing re: fragmin - i went for my appt, am on the fragmin and though it stings i'm sure i'll get used to it.

Got my 16 week appt tomorrow, am actually quite nervous. I've not felt anything that is definitely movement and I don't know why but I have it in my head that I should've done by now with this being my second, so I'm worried something has gone wrong. I'm sure it's fine though :) Then, i'm back at the hospital next monday for another blood test to check fragmin interactions with platelets or some such other something

Anyway, I had better catch up with what's been going on in here over the weekend!

plinkyplonks · 09/12/2014 21:04

Kyz · 09/12/2014 21:45

Completely forgot to say how lovely it is to see all of these scan pictures and congrats to those who've found out what they're having! Very exciting!
