A very positive appointment! Smile

I was expecting a begrudging date for a 38 week induction but from the off she booked in a 36 week one (14th April) and told her secretary that under no circumstances is it to be cancelled unless she's been spoken to first as I was a high priority. Shock

I'm amazed and chuffed all at the same time, I was dreading seeing her after my last pregnancy but she seems to have really listened and taken note of my worries and said she will do whatever it takes to get me and baby thorough this in one piece.

I also had a check up with the lovely midwife who delivered my 3 boys, she is really great at what she does and I hope I have her again this time.

Really pleased for you tits. I didn't know they induced that early, I'm hoping for 37 weeks. Still to have that negotiation! Glad she was so supportive :)

aberjen · 05/12/2014 16:25

Great appointment tits, really pleased for you

Welcome here and so sorry to hear what you've been through already. FWIW, on my antenatal thread with DD there was someone with similar circumstances to yours for 1st pregnancy, and so with her 2nd pregnancy she had ELCS at 36 weeks.

KittyVonCatsington · 05/12/2014 16:26

Hello and welcome Here wonderful to hear everything is going well this time-I cannot imagine the pain and hell you went through with your wonderful son. Hopefully we can support you all the way to your new little bundle of joy xxxx

Oh good grief purple poor you! Get your midwife on the case re consultant as he is obviously just regurgitating what he normally says-not what is specific to your situation!

Gnomie Same here! Anomaly scan next Thursday nd also feeling 'popping corn' movements including a series of six big ones that DH felt too, a few days ago not happened since, Grrr

happy Friday ladies. I haven't posted for a while. welcome to the new members I'm loving all the scan pics. time is flying here. 18w on Sunday it feels like yesterday we got out bfp. scan a week on Monday Smile

kittiker · 06/12/2014 09:07

Happy weekend, everyone. I'm enjoying following along but haven't been posting much as I'm still feeling yucky.

Bit anxious today as I still haven't felt any movement yet just some slightly odd sensation that could all be in my mind - I'd love to feel a real definite kick!

Forgot all about the FB group - who do I need to contact for that?

Fluffeh · 06/12/2014 20:34

Happy weekend!

Just popping in to show my face as I haven't posted for a few days. I have an appointment for the obstetric physio a week on Monday so hopefully I can start to learn ways to help with the spd.
Purple - I have something similar although not chiari, I'm not allowed to push and was offered the section plus a natural birth with forceps with DD. I pretended to consider it for a while then said I'd take the section please. It was booked for 39 weeks at my 20wk appointment.
Hopefully they'll listen when you ask them. If not ask your neuro to write to them. As your primary consultant they must adhere to his wishes (so my neuro surgeon said last time. But he's crazy, he wanted to be present at my section just to make sure they didn't interfere with his shunt placement).

longestlurkerever · 06/12/2014 21:13

Just put our tree up and snuggled up with dd on the sofa watching the snowman, thinking next Christmas we will be a family of four. Exciting!

Titsalinabumsquash · 06/12/2014 23:07

This little one has been really having a thrash around this past 2 days, it's getting stronger and stronger. Do they have a big growth spurt around 19-20 weeks or something?

I'm feeling a lot happier now I have a date to work towards, I didn't think they induced earlier that 37 weeks unless it was an emergency but the consultant said that since all my babies have been good sizes, especially DS2 who was born spontaneously at 36 weeks at 7lb 6oz she would be happy to go as early as 35 weeks if it meant me not suffering like last time, since I already have SPD getting rapidly worse.

If anything it's just a comfort to know the option is there, although 35weeks is the anniversary of my Mum's death and my sisters birthday so I want to avoid it.

I have specifically said though that I will not consent to a forceps or other instrumental VB so if the induction doesn't work I will be going straight for a csection.
I have laboured quickly and efficiently before though so hopefully I can and will again. Smile

I have wedged pillows all around me today to try and stop me rolling onto my front in my sleep, I woke up laying all my weight on my bump last night and it really hurt!

Aww congrats bean!! Lovely news! Xmas Grin

KittyVonCatsington · 07/12/2014 17:52

You're having a girl bean ?! Congratulations!! Scan pic looks lovely and clear too. Glad baby is doing fine Xmas Grin

BeanCalledPickle · 07/12/2014 18:04

We are having a girl. Why did I write that?! I felt very weird about having a boy. Always have done. Am quite happy to have two girls. Much easier when little though when I've two teenage girls who hate each other, themselves and their parents I'm sure I will regret this moment...

longestlurkerever · 07/12/2014 18:06

Congratulations bean. Glad all was well too.

plinkyplonks · 07/12/2014 18:10

20 week scan next week - to find out gender or not to? Hmm - has anyone changed their minds?
