I've posted a message on fb for hanlan to let her know she's being asked for.

Nowt exciting here, strong braxton kicks though

How exciting to have your section date already!

L1ttleMissGiggles · 17/11/2014 12:49

Hi Ladies...Monday again already! Hope you all had a good weekend. We picked up pushchair and bought a few more of the bigger bits for the Bubba. I've been doing a bit of online shopping this morning and have ordered a carrier so apart from the nursery furniture and stocking up on nappies and wipes I think I am almost sorted now. Unless I have forgotten something! I'm excited now and spent most of yesterday just pushing the pushchair around the house, even strapped a teddy in haha. I am a loon! Terrible heartburn today, thank god for Rennie Ice, they are the only ones that get me through and they can't too chalky! I think the Bubs is having a party this morning, very active. I love it. Makes up for not being able to feel it much over the weekends as I am much more active than I am when I am work (desk job). x

hanflan · 17/11/2014 12:50

I have been summoned from fb! Haha thanks for asking about me, all is fine thank goodness :)
So after my last update I went home, had an icy glass of coke, lay on my left side and watched a whole episode of Downton Abbey. Didn't feel a thing during that hour, so called the midwife back and started crying down the phone (cringe!). She told me to come straight in so I did. They got me strapped up to a monitor (heartbeat was fine) and then gave me some ice water and a packet of jammy dodgers! Turns out baby girl loves jammy dodgers, she started jumping around like crazy and kicking the monitor really hard Grin. So I was very relieved, midwives were happy and I was sent home. PHEW!

Sorry to read about all the bum problems further up the thread, it's not nice. I'm currently suffering from an internal pile and a nasty fissure (snap frenetic!) so I also pass quite a lot of blood when I poop. It's also really painful and feels like I'm being ripped in half. If crowning is worse than that then I don't know how I will cope haha!

helkat how cool having your date! You can do a proper countdown!

Glad all is well hanflan I think the midwives are always happy to check us out than have us worrying!

28+3 today and feeling fine as normal! I've got the week off work so planning on doing some nice things with DD, if only this weather would clear up!

purpleteapig · 17/11/2014 14:16

Glad everything is fine, hanflan. Helkat, that's great you have a firm date to work towards - 5th feb is my due date :)

Had a lovely childfree night away with husband at a spa hotel on Saturday. I was quite relieved that the pg massage didn't entail lying in those weird chairs with a circle cut out for the bump!

Bangonthedoor · 17/11/2014 15:36

purpleteapig I've always wondered how they do massages on pregnant women, it's always put me off having one!

purpleteapig · 17/11/2014 16:05

Bang - last pregnancy I had a massage where I had to lie face down with my bump in the cut out circle - the feeling really wigged me out!
This time I was on my back (at an angle so not flat) and side - much better :)

Memphisbelly · 17/11/2014 16:16

Hanglan glad to hear everything is ok!

Well I have had a productive day we got the gliding moses basket stand as they are on offer in mothercare (mum bought it. It was still to pricey for me!)
Went to primark and I got a nightie for my hospital bag they also had maternity underwear I got some knickers that look so comfy and a cami top that had built in support and for those who breastfeed the clips on the straps to lower front they look lovely with support and only £4 each! Also got the most hideous christmas jumper to fit my bump in! My mum thought I was joking it has bells and bows and sequins on it truely tackyGrin
Got baby the John Lewis penguin babygrow as I love penguins and the all seem christmassy apart from this one!

Dh is away tonight, going to attempt work tomorrow for first time in a week.

Bangonthedoor · 17/11/2014 16:28

purpleteapig Shock I thought you were joking about the cut out hole for your bump! That must be so strange! The 2nd way sounds much nicer Smile

Go easy on yourself tomorrow memphis don't work too hard!

tonightsthekindofnight · 17/11/2014 16:33

Hi everyone.

Been hopelessly lurking and not managing to contribute again! Love hearing how everyone is!

Everything ok here, twins growing nicely and apart from my ridiculous size causing my pelvis a few issues I'm not suffering too much.

Our Polish triple travel system arrived on Sat (Trippy it's called) and despite all the soft fabric bits being fab the frame is faulty. My husband isn't happy with the quality so the whole thousand pounds worth is going back. I'm gutted because with 8 weeks to go we have no workable pushchair solution. I'm scared that if I can't get out by myself i will go insane. My daughter is 18 months and is quite a good walker but she still naps in her pushchair so could really do with a triple. Problem is our narrow front door so if it's not a travel system with detachable seats it will be a pain. Had a cry about it on Saturday as we still need to sort a seven seater car and the nursery is not finished so I am panicking!!

Have four more weeks at work but will do well to get that far... It's hard to reach my keyboard now!!

Memphisbelly · 17/11/2014 16:46

Tonights what a shame. what about an abc adventure buggy? It looks like an out and about double but a third seat goes on the handlebars, a customer of ours had that and it looks fab. Not sure on stockists but she got one so they must deliver here?

shellbyville · 17/11/2014 17:20

Tonights could you try a sling for one twin and get a double for other twin and dd (swapping twins as and when you need to!)? If you can't find another solution.

tonightsthekindofnight · 17/11/2014 17:47

We looked at the Abc to begin with because I loved the idea of being able to talk to my daughter while getting the twinies to sleep. Problem is it is from new Zealand and it takes three months and costs a fortune in import tax. We are looking second hand but it wouldn't go through the door.

Thanks shellby, I think that might have to be the sensible solution. Any recommendations for newborn slings for a potentially 5lb baby!

I could get help with the school run but I need to have some independence!

shellbyville · 17/11/2014 17:55

Hmm, I know soft ones are best for newborns but not sure about especially teeny ones! Is there a sling library near you? Or google might have to be your best friend for researching! They can be expensive. I got one second hand on eBay.

sandulacek · 17/11/2014 17:55

Glad all is fine hanflan

purple I could so do with a massage but not sure now...hanging bump though a cut out hole? That sounds weird.

tonight hope you manage to find a replacement. Sounds like it's quite complicated to get something suitable.

Not much happening here, had some in law family here over the weekend, the fil and mil are still here till tomorrow. Had a walk around Covent Garden(plus food obviously Grin ) and a peek at the tower of London poppies - they've started to dismantle them but there were still few left...and one of them is ours.

Haematology appointment tomorrow. They are really keen for me to have an MRI scan (had the registrar ringing me twice last week!), not sure why tbh so definitely want to have a good chat about it with the haematology consultant. Would rather not have the scan whilst pregnant especially when we might have to have a mri of little one's brain in the 3rd trimester.

Memphisbelly · 17/11/2014 18:04

Tonights yes in kiddicare I had seen the triple stroller which is suitable from birth but again it is wide, such a dilemma! You can get buggyboards (not sure of which company it actually is) that are like a saddle seat so a smaller toddler can sit on it, a double pushchair with slings or buggyboard may be your saving grace. There is a woman at school with a double but always has her smallest in a sling which I find weird as she then has half of the beast of a pushchair empty!

Just dozed off watching scooby doo and was woken by ds wanting more food! Bad mummy!

GeekyHybrid · 17/11/2014 18:52

On a first aid course today and tomorrow. So I'm not out in the rain but I'm in a room full of men (only female is the trainer) and it's so evident thaty brain is useless at the mo Sad And clumsy, I keep dropping my bandages, I just hope I don't need to do it in real life for a while!
Just wandering, is anyone else finding that when they walk any distance they start getting what feels like a mild stitch, both sides and sort of low down on the bump? It goes away once I stop but it is rather annoying and means I'm so slow.

jenmcspen · 17/11/2014 19:01

I dread to think what folding a triple buggy would be like - some of the singles are difficult enough!
Not had pain like that recently geeky but weirdly did have it around the 20 week mark (usually when I'd been overdoing it! Smile ) Now when I try and do too much I seem to get pelvic pain instead! Guess our bodies know when to tell us to slow down.
Feeling quite a bit better today and def a bit more productive - have been decorating xmas eve plates as we are making them with my brownies Grin
First aquanatal class tomorrow too, after a very long waiting list Grin

Memphisbelly · 17/11/2014 19:27

Geeky yes I get low stitch if I try to move too quickly now I am walking slower it has almost gone.

Jen so jealous about aquanatal there are none local, dh thought it was ok for me to drive an hour to our nearest one....erm noooo!

Killer heartburn tonight everytime i go to the docs i forget to ask for tablets as it only comes on in evening

jenmcspen · 17/11/2014 19:42

memphis I will make sure to come on tomorrow night and feedback. Have bought a maternity swimming costume in honour of these classes so best be good! Grin
They also do baby and children's classes right from newborn which I am thinking about. My swimming is a bit rubbish so would like bump to get a better opportunity to get comfortable in the water right from the start.
How are you healing up after the stairs fall?

sandulacek · 17/11/2014 19:52

geeky yes had one of those just today! Was a bit worried but it's true I was walking up the hill rather fast...well my pre-pregnancy speed Grin . It does go away when I sit down.

Memphisbelly · 17/11/2014 19:53

Bruising on whole body is loads better apart from my bump but think this isn't help thst he was knocked 180 degrees and is now kicking the bruising so its not healing quickly. And then my elbow is still so sensitive, if it is touched it makes me yelp, still black and blue and swollen too and unable grip with right hand because of that.....but getting better! Grin

LittleMissSunshine33 · 17/11/2014 20:27

Hi All

Yes Geeky I do get a slight stitch when I walk the dog and now definitely finding it more tight on my chest!

Anyone else finding it uncomfortable after dinner. What ever position I sit in I just can't get comfy! Luckily only after dinner but is this a sign of what's to come in the last month?!

sandulacek · 17/11/2014 21:39

Yes littlemiss evenings are worst for getting comfy. That's when I start asking my hubby why he can't be pregnant lol

GeekyHybrid · 17/11/2014 21:55

Thanks for the reassurance guys, guess it's just another case of learning to slow down, so not in my nature Hmm Having to re-evaluate how 'far' everything is! 10 minute quick walks are now half hour dawdles Blush Hey ho, only 3 months to go. Eeeeeek!
