Hi!

After approx 5 15 BFP's ranging from super faint IC's to super
BFPS with FRER - I am due DC4 1st July Grin

Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

Ds3 will be 7yo before dc4. Didnt really think it was such a big gap as he still feels like young iyswim til I sat and thought about it! Shock

My boobs are killing too fatty. Ive been wearing my sports bras which has helped a lot. I need to get some news ones though - my white one is pretty hideous as I wore it to do a Tough Mudder last year. i know over here supermarkets sell them pretty cheap.
Where abouts in the Netherlands are you?

TallGiraffes · 01/11/2014 20:43

Bravissimo are amazing for small backs / big boobs. Do they do international shipping? If not, I could post them onto you? I have a huge soft spot for all things Nederlands Wink

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 01/11/2014 20:50

I got a pack of seamless bras like this 4 pack from amazon when I was pregnant with DS (can't remember if it was this exact brand). Cheap, super comfy for pregnancy ever-changing boobs and good for breastfeeding too. I don't know how good they are for larger boobs, I am on the smaller side myself, but you can wear 2 or 3 at once for more support and I never had a problem.
Fatty I had a home birth with DS, brilliant experience and I'll be doing the same with this one if possible. I will look in to hiring a birthing pool though as I could have done with some more pain relief options! No idea how expensive it is though.

BFP This morning!! After 22 long hard months of trying! Woaft still in actual shock that this has happened!
Calculating due date of 9th/10th July!

TouchPauseEngage · 01/11/2014 21:11

Congrats Butler! You must be thrilled!

Thepurplegiraffe · 01/11/2014 21:19

Congratulations Butler, you must be over the moon!

Butler4 · 01/11/2014 21:20

Thanks very much. I'm sure I will be when it sinks in! ?? absolutely brilliant news

TouchPauseEngage · 01/11/2014 21:25

mister can you remember what size you got? I'm an A cup but have 36 back. People keep mentioned ribs stretching so maybe the bigger size is better?

Kilicat · 01/11/2014 21:40

Butler fantastic news - congratulations.

SophieBarringtonWard · 01/11/2014 21:51

I'm tentatively joining this thread... Due early July, but had an early miscarriage in August so don't want to he too excited... This would be dc3, the others are 6 and 3. Excited and nervous!

I'm going to give it another week & then call the midwives to book in. Planning another homebirth.

Aud I noticed you said you won't see a hcp for a few months, I'm intrigued. Do you opt out of antenatal care?

Congratulations everyone & fingers crossed...

fattycow · 01/11/2014 21:52

Congratulations, butler!

fattycow · 01/11/2014 21:53

And welcome sophie.

Rubimeister · 01/11/2014 22:47

I found out last Thursday and told my OH straight away as I couldn't wait. But after MR in June I'm not as excited as I thought I would be and neither is my OH. DD July 1st.

AudTheDeepMinded · 02/11/2014 07:48

Hmmm, perhaps you're right. Should I include a note warning her not to lick it....?

Hello Sophie, congrats on no. 3. It's an endless round of shifting stuff in and out of the loft isn't it after your first?!
I did opt for the bare minumum of care for DS2, which was provided by my GP rather than midwife. Still thinking about this one. But in the meantime hopefully the baby is not really going anywhere so I will leave it a while.
Right, off to a car boot this morning, hoping the egg butty van is there.

SophieBarringtonWard · 02/11/2014 08:15

Hah Aud yes that is it precisely. Interesting about the GP provided care, I didn't know that was an option. I go along with all the standard antenatal care & will plan a homebirth but am interested in unassisted birthing etc. Totally theoretically as DH (who is a doctor) is not on board.

I'm thinking of some sort of cute older kids in t shirts way of telling people at Christmas. I've never done a fun announcement so might be nice to try it! Don't pregnancy tests go blank after a while, would it work?

TouchPauseEngage · 02/11/2014 08:38

sophie my ebay cheapies still have the lines not that I have my 15 tests libes up on a window sill or anything

sdyer · 02/11/2014 08:55

Welcome Sophie and butler4! Congratulations! :-)

ignominious · 02/11/2014 09:29

Tentative place marking.

touch - same here. Still adding to the pile.

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 02/11/2014 10:02

Ooh sophie I love the idea of an unassisted birth, I think DH would be ok with it but I would probably panic and change my mind at the last minute. I read a wonderful birth story about a woman who gave birth to her 4th child in the bathroom by herself while the rest of the family slept, it sounded so peaceful!
Aud I think I need to borrow some of your relaxed approach. Even though it's not my first I am finding it a struggle not to worry about my lack of symptoms, I think because it took us quite a while to conceive this time.
touch I had a lovely line of +ve tests until yesterday when DH threw them all in the bin Shock I didn't have a little hormonal cry over binned piss sticks, not me
Congratulatory waves to all the July newbies! Butler that's fantastic! (and another 10th July due date!)

TouchPauseEngage · 02/11/2014 10:07

Welcome and glad it's not just me ignominious!
To mix things up I peed on an opk yesterday as I heard they detect HCG too. It works!
We're deciding what to do with our garden room (which sounds grand but is basically an extra downstairs room previous owners stuck on as extension) DH has very grand plans but just turned to me sadly and said 'it's just going to be a play room full of plastic crap isn't it?' Grin

Kilicat · 02/11/2014 14:54

I would love a home birth and hire a pool for a water birth...not discussed with DH yet and I am thinking that being 25 mins from a hospital may turn out to be an issue if anything goes wrong!!

SophieBarringtonWard · 02/11/2014 15:24

Do they Touch? When I fished my Clearblue digital thing out of the bin a day or two later just to check it had disappeared. Although I am on a daily cheapie test I don't save them!

MisterSafety I love the idea too! Are you planning a home birth then? I wouldn't want to birth solo as in both my births I have had reassurance from DH being there, but I've always felt the midwives to be a bit of an intrusion! But definitely won't be going for it… DH always said birthing is a lot like lambing (of which he did a couple of seasons!) & if sheep can do it we can, but as he has seen more & more birth injuries etc through his work he has gone off the idea! As I am happy with a home birth attended by midwives it's fine by me to settle on that…

AudTheDeepMinded · 02/11/2014 15:56

Sophie, my tests from 4 years ago still show positive ( and none of us have died of anything nasty cos I've kept them!)
Not sure about freebirthing, I think it's a lovely idea in theory but the reality would probably scare the shit out of me . Plus because of what DS1 did to my undercarriage (look away first timers) I'm recommended for ecs for subsequent babies. The GP care was not an official option but I refused midwife care so they did not really have a choice (I promise I'm not always an awkward cow!)
Mister, I'm not relaxed, more ostrich like than anything.
In other news I got my egg butty this morning, a pair of suede trainers for a pound, the boys got more Thomas the bleeding tank engine shit and DH got an in-car handheld hoover. A successful hunt all round.
TTFN

WiIdfire · 02/11/2014 17:01

Anyone going for a hospital birth or am I in the minority here? I'm afraid I've seen too many occasions where mother / baby would have died had they not been in hospital to ever consider it. (Am a doctor). Had reason to visit a birthing centre recently and was shocked to find they dont even stock IV access or fluids! In a post-partum haemorrhage that would be the end of you. Scares the crap out of me. Hospital all the way for me.

Linseyd · 02/11/2014 17:07

hi ladies how is everyone today feel so tired im going in to work to tell them tomorrow what births are you ladies opting for xxxx
