Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

sarice welcome in :-)

broodylicious · 15/11/2014 16:22

number3 oh yeah I'm doing the mental torment thing. Perfect example - saw on our pregvember bus someone mentioned boots are doing bogof on frer. So er, what's in the bag next to me....? Yep, couldn't resist. I mean a bargain is a bargain, right? Lol! Xxx

Bustherb · 15/11/2014 17:03

Apart from folic acid is anyone else taking any other vitamins? I was in boots today and I brought folic acid with vitamin d, xx

ignominious · 15/11/2014 17:11

Broody that's crazy but I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing. It's nice to be sure..

Number3cometome · 15/11/2014 17:16

Hears frer are on Bogof and sneaks out the door to boots.....

StoneBaby · 15/11/2014 18:27

Hiya. New addition to the July club. I've got a DS who 4 1/2 yo and was under fertility treatment for a year.
EDD 22/07/15

Trying to remember if I was suffering so much of a backache and cramps with my 1st one and I honestly can't!
Will read more comments once DS is in bed and I have a break.

misseskimo · 15/11/2014 18:59

Wow! I go offline for a day and there's like 100 new posts! Can't seem to keep up! Sad

Welcome stone and any other new ladies this weekend!

I had my apt Friday morning which went from being a "checkup with a nurse" to 2hrs with a dr, 7 vials of blood being taken, scan being brought forward to Tuesday from Friday (7wks) and being signed off work till the end of next week! Apparently at 6wks I am already deemed as high risk... Wonderful lol. Meant I had to tell my boss also, who thankfully was really great about it and said when I'm back we can discuss options for my working conditions and adjust around how I feel. But I'm already thinking this is going to be a loooong 9m sigh

broodylicious · 15/11/2014 19:00

Very encouragingly, I got a stronger positive line that the control line tonight so I am now quite reassured I am indeed pregnant. Eeek! That's the first time I've said it. Or written it down to be more accurate. So I'm pregnant. Bloody hell. July 23, we are coming for ya! Grin

Leela5 · 15/11/2014 19:20

Welcome newbies and congratulations!

I've had nausea on and off today.

Does anyone else get days where your boobs don't hurt at all? Mine were aching loads last night, today nothing.

I'm 5 weeks today and could do with some reassurance

Leela5 · 15/11/2014 19:20

broody. I had same as you today - line was darker than control line. It was comforting!

Sarkymare · 15/11/2014 19:36

I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more tests after literally doing about 15 of them within a space of a week. But then The line was so very faint last time so it would be comforting to see a lovely strong line now.

Predicaments predicaments...

GingerbreadHead · 15/11/2014 19:42

I'm too scared to bring myself to pee on any more sticks! Have considered doing a CB in a week or two when hopefully it will say 3+, but what if it doesn't!? Don't know how I managed to only pee on 2 sticks and then just wait for the 12 week scan with DD! Did have a look in boots today, but no bogof in ours for some reason....
My symptoms do tend to come and go actually. Anyone else feeling hungry all the time but also feeling repulsed at the thought of food and eating?!
Welcome Stone, congratulations! we are due date buddies Grin I have also been having terrible back ache.
Bloody hell miss! Great that they are being thorough for you though. How come they are considering you high risk already? - only if you are happy to share of course!
Well DH has gone out tonight so I am planning hot chocolate, popcorn and a cheesy film. And a nice early night!!

SparklyPenguin · 15/11/2014 20:03

Hi everyone- I'm new here, can I join in? Got my BFP a couple of days ago, looks like I'm 5 weeks today! Due date 17th July according to NHS website. Nervous, excited, nauseous...this is my first pregnancy (we've been trying for about 5 months) Hubby's brilliant but I'm so glad to find a little place for some support from others going through the same thing!

Sarkymare · 15/11/2014 20:35

Welcome sparkly!!

ginger I feel exactly the same. I'm really hungry but I don't know what I'm hungry for if that makes sense? I fancy something I just can't put my finger on what.

No breast tenderness yet except the two tooth shapes holes around my nipple courtesy of DS I do still feel rather crampy and nauseas though.

The main symptom that Is annoying me now is the constipation. I've spent the past four days trying to have a poo.

Supershiv1 · 15/11/2014 20:47

Hello all.
I've been to OOH today - septic tonsils and a weeks worth of penicillin to go with them. Dr said to rest up for a few days.....hmmmm, with an 18 month old and an assignment due Monday ( but not yet started as been so ill last few days) I'm not so sure. Plus I am meant to be travelling to Chesterfield with work for the week tomorrow. BTW I am studying for my NEBOSH general certificate - the equivalent of 18 months study (an A level) in 2 weeks!
I've started taking a daily aspirin and pregnacare vitimins. My BMI is 29 so just under the increased folic rate - last time I had to take the larger dose.
I don't don't really think I have any symptoms apart from stretchyness yet, but then I have been so bloody ill I probably struggle to identify them.
misseskimo did you already say why you were deemed as high risk (sorry for being nosey)? My DS came early so I am surprised that they seem to be treating me as normal so far.....
sparklypenguin hello! We're due date buddies!

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 15/11/2014 20:59

Hi everyone. I'm now wishing away the next 8 weeks til the 12-week scan, knowing everything is OK, being able to tell everyone and finally getting excited!

WantToGoingTo · 15/11/2014 21:07

Broody I had the line darker than control yesterday - eek really happening! Also af due today and absolutely no sign whatsoever. I am so relieved! Just more waiting now.

Misseskimo that sounds like a bit of a shock, I hope you are ok. At least if you are deemed high risk then they will keep an eye on you and hopefully give you the correct care you need, and glad that your work is supportive :)

Welcome stone and sparkly! I will try to update the stats in next couple of days :)

Tiredness definitely kicking in for me today - I woke up late and stayed in bed watching TV til late morning, then went out for lunch with friends (albeit a 40 min drive away) and when I got home I was absolutely shattered! Fell right asleep straight away which never happens especially in the afternoon. DH thinks I am just tired though and isn't attributing any of my symptoms to pregnancy yet!

Zampa · 15/11/2014 21:46

For info, Tesco are doing 3 for 2 on Pregnacare. Even compared to Amazon, it's much cheaper. I'm stocked up for the duration.

My doctor also recommended vitamin D.

Wishing you all the best misseskimo and welcome newbies!

WantToGoingTo · 15/11/2014 21:47

Oooo thanks Zampa, I take pregnacare and have nearly run out! Do you plan to take it for the whole 9m or just up until the 12 weeks for the neural tube?

GingerbreadHead · 15/11/2014 22:12

Thanks for the info zampa! Random question for you all, I was taking Seven Seas trying for a baby as my conception vitamin, and it says it's ok to carry on through pg too so have continued, but I do have some pregnacare left over from when I was taking that whilst ttc last year, but it messed with my cycle a bit, am I being totally paranoid to worry that if I start taking it again now it could have adverse affects on my hormones??! It has much more in it than the Seven Seas so I would like to switch to pregnacare.....please go ahead and berate me if I'm being ridiculous!! Grin

Zampa · 15/11/2014 22:59

I get the impression that as long as you are taking folic acid and vitamin D supplements alongside a healthy diet, that's all you need to do. But please don't take my word for it gingerbreadhead! Maybe check with your GP/midwife?

I'm going to take my Pregnacare all the way though the 9 months on the basis that I take a vitamin tablet each day anyway. Got 3 boxes of 75 tablets each so that should do me!

Sarice · 16/11/2014 00:17

Well, Ive just been out with a group of friends nursing a tonic with Ice and a slice all through dinner. I'm sure someone guessed but I didn't say anything. I'm normally the one knocking back the wine but I sat a the end of the table and was very good. I'm sure there is going to be a bit of gossip. They'll find out soon enough. Husband on the other hand........he is hammered!

headlesschicken247 · 16/11/2014 06:06

Arghh bloody insomnia. Been. Awake now for an hour

Leela5 · 16/11/2014 06:52

Yup! Me too...
