Hi!

After approx 5 15 BFP's ranging from super faint IC's to super
BFPS with FRER - I am due DC4 1st July Grin

Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

Ds3 will be 7yo before dc4. Didnt really think it was such a big gap as he still feels like young iyswim til I sat and thought about it! Shock

I knew someone who posted a picture of themselves barefoot in the kitchen & asked for it to be captioned (barefoot, pregnant & in the kitchen is a saying). I quite fancy the tshirt idea but I am not sure that I want to tell the kids at the same time as we will tell other adults - 12 weeks just seems early, in case we find anomalies at the 20w scan & because 28w will still be a long time for them to wait! We will see.

Saw a heartbeat on the scan this morning Smile which was reassuring although I don't feel out of the woods yet. They put me a week behind my LMP gestation which makes sense as I have 35 day cycles & is why I joined this group anyway (LMP edd is end of June but I don't believe it).

Huffs123 · 13/11/2014 19:46

Ooh sarky we will have an 18 month gap too! There's also a large gap between my brother and I, so I would love for DS to have a close relationship with a sibling.

This thread really moves so fast, I can't keep up!

No sickness here yet.... I'm just waiting for it!

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 13/11/2014 19:49

Hello! Another one here, due date of 19th July if I calculate correctly. It will be DC2 (DS1 is 2.1). I'm terrified! It wasn't meant to happen this quickly - only been 'sort of trying' for 2 months. Though I am excited my main thoughts are PANIC! (Plus, it messed up our holiday plans for next year AND i just bought myself 2 pairs of new skinny jeans at the weekend AND i have to not drink at our three work christmas do's! Grin.)

Only 4 and a bit weeks so got a little while to wait till anything 'happens'. Torn between telling people (a few NCT friends are also expecting no 2 early next year) and waiting till scan (which will be early Jan, I think).

Then there's the small issue of getting this baby out! Bad c-section experience last time, so no idea about this time. Eek!

WantToGoingTo · 13/11/2014 19:50

My grandparents have a moses basket which my mum and siblings and all my cousins and I were in as babies. I told my Mum by calling her and saying "Do you think grandparents will let me borrow the moses basket next summer?" She was speechless as it took a few seconds for her to twig!

Need to think of a way of telling my dad though, haven't told him yet and think I will in a week or so, seeing as my Mum knows now. But then saving the rest for Christmas after we have had a 10w scan.

Linseyd · 13/11/2014 20:01

hi ladies 7 weeks now got my booking in on the 2nd and my scan on the 17th so excited but feel so sick, tired ,have insomnia and restless legs oh the joys xxx

Threeplus1 · 13/11/2014 20:09

@ sarky my oldest dc are just barely 15 months apart and my siblings took that as a challenge it seems as my sister's oldest two are 11 months and 3 weeks apart and my brother's youngest two are 10 months apart Shock

I've just been telling people that I'm off alcohol as a money saving effort...seems to have done the trick so far!

I'm not sure how I'm going to break the news.... most of our family is in the UK, so prob just a phone call followed by a facebook announcement for friends. I've been very vocal about being 'done' with having children and how I'm happy to finally get a chance to discover who I am separate from my kids (I had my first at 21 and second at 22). I'm going to be a bit Blush

I decided yesterday to watch some 'one born every minute' over the internet and watched the one on multiples. I knew that multiples pregnancies carry extra risk, but I didn't realise they were considered that much more dangerous! I am definitely hoping there's just the one happening in there!

Threeplus1 · 13/11/2014 20:23

I'm jealous of all the scans! I won't be offered one until 20 weeks or so Sad

WantToGoingTo · 13/11/2014 20:26

three I have LITERALLY just finished watching one born twins and triplets! Scary stuff. Now onto some normal one born to lighten the mood Wink (DH is out fr the evening, what else is a pregnant lady to do?) hehe

Sarkymare · 13/11/2014 20:45

I was repeatedly asked to go on OBEM last year as they was filming at my hospital. There was absolutely no fucking chance of that happening!

GingerbreadHead · 13/11/2014 20:56

Hi everyone! have almost finished reading through the thread and am very excited to be able to join you all finally! After 16 months ttc I finally got a BFP the other day, confirmed this morning with a cb digi Grin This will be DC#2, DD has just turned 3. Feeling very worried this early on and trying not to get my hopes up but also feeling excited! My due date is 22nd July, and am looking forward to having a summer baby this time as DD is a winter baby. Been feeling quite sick with a horrid taste in my mouth already, pretty sure I didn't feel anything this early on with DD!
Nice to 'meet' you all!

Threeplus1 · 13/11/2014 20:57

Lol! I can't think of anything worse than having a camera shoved in your face or your nethers during labour.... But I'm glad some obviously don't mind because I do love the show Grin Indeed wantto what else is a pregnant lady with 35+weeks to go to do?! Wink

Threeplus1 · 13/11/2014 20:59

Welcome gingerbread my DS' birthday is 22nd July - it's a great day to be born Smile

WantToGoingTo · 13/11/2014 21:02

Hehehe I am sure when it gets nearer the time I will very much be avoiding watching one born!

I did this thing where you can shadow a doc on the labour ward and i witnessed live 2x caesareans (one was emergency, one elective) and a forceps delivery. Luckily didn't put me off! Though they did an episiotomy during the forceps one and I think that was a sight I definitely could have done with not seeing... Shock

Am yet to witness a normal birth live, only seen that on the TV via OBEM!

Supershiv1 · 13/11/2014 21:18

Hello.
Due DC2 17th July - which is EXACTLY the same due date as DS1 in 2013.
I will be classified as high risk because DS1 made an early appearance and I'm 39.
Am very close with my July 2013 MN gang so hope you lot will be just as nice!
Not looking forward to telling work as I start a temporary promotion week after next.
5w today. Do we have a stats thread?

misseskimo · 13/11/2014 21:19

Am I the only person who has NEVER watched OBEM? Most of my female friends (with and without children) watch it religiously, but I've always thought it would freak me out too much, so never wanted to watch it! Blush

Thepurplegiraffe · 13/11/2014 21:25

I'm the same misses, I avoid that program at all costs. I would much rather bury my head in the sand.

Sarkymare · 13/11/2014 21:35

Welcome to ginger and super.

I avoid watching OBEM too. The only time I have watched it was last series. Even then I only watched it because That was the hospital I gave birth in. In one of the episodes a women gave birth in the very same room I did with the very same midwife. It was really strange to watch.

fattycow · 13/11/2014 22:33

I like watching OBEM, I always have!

I got hit with a very nasty bout of nausea after dinner today. Sent the husband out for emergence tea biscuits!

Leela5 · 13/11/2014 23:02

Hi ginger and cat (waves)

Leela5 · 13/11/2014 23:03

Hi super!

Sophie that's lovely that you saw heartbeat Smile fx for healthy pregnancy x

Leela5 · 13/11/2014 23:04

Will I do stats? Here goes...

GingerbreadHead · 13/11/2014 23:09

Thanks for the welcome Grin
I have a love/hate relationship with OBEM. I can't stop myself from watching it but I cringe through the whole programme, and for the past 16 months it has been like torture watching it when I desperately wanted a baby, but I do enjoy it sometimes! Not sure I could go on it though, it was bad enough having midwives watching me when in labour with DD!
Ooh fatty emergency biscuits are the best kind! I'm at that annoying stage with nausea where being hungry makes me feel sick and being full makes me feel sick Confused
Super love that your DCs have the same due date! You are very brave having them only a year apart!

Leela5 · 13/11/2014 23:12

Nope can't get it to work properly on app would have to do on PC :(

Zampa · 14/11/2014 08:01

Morning all! Terrified by how maternal all you lot sound and how organised. Off to the doctors today for a "what the hell do I do now" session. As a kick ass professional woman it's hard to admit to bring clueless!

WantToGoingTo · 14/11/2014 08:05

Zampa know what you mean! I phoned the doc and pretty much said "I'm pregnant, now what?" I felt a bit silly! I guess the docs see clueless women all the time though, they must be used to it :) Hope your appt goes well!
