Hi!

After approx 5 15 BFP's ranging from super faint IC's to super
BFPS with FRER - I am due DC4 1st July Grin

Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

Ds3 will be 7yo before dc4. Didnt really think it was such a big gap as he still feels like young iyswim til I sat and thought about it! Shock

OP posts:

Leela5 · 14/11/2014 08:26

I think they're used to it Grin I did exactly the same, I phoned up saying I was 3 weeks pg and they said too early phone back later on. Then realised I hadn't counted back I period so had to phone back and day actually I'm 5 weeks! She did chuckle

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 14/11/2014 08:54

Hi Ginger great to see you in here Smile
I'm a bit of an OBEM addict, I find it quite reassuring strangely, I think because most of the women giving birth seem totally clueless but still manage to do fine! Can see why some find it terrifying though (my dsis still can't watch and her youngest is nearly 2!) as they show a disproportionate number of high intervention births for the drama and rarely any from MLUs/home births.
Nausea has well and truly kicked in for me now but no sickness yet thankfully. Still no word from the midwives, I'm so impatient to get appointment dates and make this all feel a bit more real!

smallgreenbanana · 14/11/2014 09:26

Zampa and WantToGoingTo I know what you mean! I've been reading a lot so feeling a bit less clueless now. Keep telling myself billions of women have done this. Feeling a bit bad for wanting all the symptoms to go away though... I've got a full-time job (that I love) to do until July!

Number3cometome · 14/11/2014 09:34

Morning ladies!

Just grabbed hold of my old maternity notes this morning from my DD (born in June 2007). I have a docs app this afternoon (changed Gp's in May so you know all the info won't be there) and I want her to know about my previous m/c and Eclampsia.
I looked at the letter for my early pregnancy scan in 2006 - guess what the date was? 14th November! Exactly 8 years ago!
It's been a while since I was last pregnant!!!

WantToGoingTo · 14/11/2014 09:37

Small me too - I am also studying for professional qualifications and have an exam in a week's time and another in June when I will be 33 weeks. Hoping sickness doesn't kick in til after my exam otherwise that will be a fun 3.5hrs! I am a little worried about the exam at 33 weeks, but can't be helped and better to do it then than with a baby. I will still have another 3 exams to do post-birth but there is no time limit really so will take it slow :) A bit scared about telling work, cos although I planned it so would be able to do 2 more exams before baby comes, I think they probably think I would have waited another year or so til all exams are done. I have also just got promoted so not sure what they will think!!

WantToGoingTo · 14/11/2014 09:39

Number how funny about your scan date! Good idea to take your old notes with you. Have you made a doctor appt yet?

Number3cometome · 14/11/2014 09:44

WantToGoingTo I know! Weird right?!

The appointment is today at 5pm!

Scared, worried, anxious, excited, nervous!!

Just thinking now, if my Clear Blue Digital only says 1-2 weeks pregnant, does that mean I am actually only 3 weeks pregnant?!!

fattycow · 14/11/2014 09:45

I'm feeling fine this morning. A bit tired, as I didn't sleep well, but fine otherwise. Smile

fattycow · 14/11/2014 09:54

number, the Clear Blue counts from implantation onwards, so you can add two weeks to it. And it will more likely be four weeks than three, as the Clear Blue tests aren't all that sensitive!

WantToGoingTo · 14/11/2014 09:55

Number you count from the first day of your last period - my clear blue digi said 1-2 weeks and I was 3+3, so probably about right!

Number3cometome · 14/11/2014 10:00

Ahh thanks ladies, was having a panic. Last period was 11/10/14, so that should make me 4+6.

I guess it wasn't the first pee of the morning either that was used on a FRER

SophieBarringtonWard · 14/11/2014 10:04

Want doing an exam at 33 weeks is definitely better than doing it later with a baby! I did exams at 39w 6d with DC1 and that was a way easier experience that doing my dissertation the following summer with a one year old…

I'm struggling to book in with the midwives, I want the GP to refer me to a case loading midwifery service that operates in my area but the GP doesn't seem to understand obviously hasn't read the letter I sent her and keeps telling me I can self refer to the community midwives. I know that, but I am not trying to book in with the community midwives! Grr.

WantToGoingTo · 14/11/2014 10:08

Gosh Sophie exam at 39+6?! Yes, I will have to do some exams with a baby, but as it is 12 weeks teaching then an exam, and can only do 2 a year I am hoping it won't be TOO bad and can get DH/MIL/DM to babysit so I can concentrate. That's the plan anyway! There's no right time, and we had made the decision and had the money so just went for it :) We have a good family support network though so am hoping all will turn out well. Sorry to hear about your trouble with the midwives :( I am v lucky my midwife will see me at work though how I will explain going to the maternity department if anyone sees me I haven't quite figured out yet...

Fleurchamp · 14/11/2014 10:12

zampa I was exactly the same. Dr went through his spiel and then asked if I had any questions. Professionally, it is required that I do indeed have questions and so that part of me came out and I started asking a load of random stuff about twinges, whether I need to do take supplements as I am vegetarian.

I would suggest having a prepared list as I just waffled and didn't ask a couple of things I should have. Still, we have plenty of time Smile

DH wants to go car shopping this weekend. Our current wheels are no way baby friendly (and even heavily pregnant friendly as it's so low I have to practically crawl out as it is).

SophieBarringtonWard · 14/11/2014 10:34

What are you going to get Fleur? We probably need to get a new car (if this bean sticks), we can't fit three carseats in the back of our current car. Although sometimes I think that we should stick with our car, buy a roof rack, and when we are all in the car DC1 would travel in the frontseat & I would squeeze between the carseats in the back. Hmm…

Want it's not as dramatic as it sounds as DC1 didn't come until 42 weeks! I'm sure you will be fine. I did exams the following year too, most productive revision sessions I have ever had where those when I roped various friends to walk the baby around the park for 1.5hrs so I could work!

Number3cometome · 14/11/2014 11:02

I've seen BFP on the Pregvember thread today, so hopefully a new lady coming over soon!

VirtualPointyHat · 14/11/2014 11:07

Is anyone else not really having any symptoms?

i am 6 weeks today and planning on telling both sets of Dparents tomorrow, but don't feel pregnant IYSWIM?

catbus · 14/11/2014 11:14

Thank you wantto
But my EDD is 10 July- my cycles are shorter. .and having had 2 out of 4 bang on the due dates, I'm hoping it will be the 10th as it's my bestie's birthday Grin

Fleurchamp · 14/11/2014 11:18

sophie I am not sure, we don't want anything too big as our parking area is quite limited and I have spatial issues but it needs 4 doors and a boot big enough for all our crap. I like the mini countryman but DH is not keen.

My neighbours have 3 kids and I am sure their car (vw touran) fits 3 car seats in the back.

I don't feel pregnant today. Apart from slight back ache.

Thanks for the stats want wow, so many of us!

Sarkymare · 14/11/2014 11:19

Thankyou want. There are so many of us!!

I'm so glad I found this thread. I am so much more excited this time round now i have women to talk to about it all and share the excitement. I've Been in such a cheery mood all week.
