Hi!

After approx 5 15 BFP's ranging from super faint IC's to super
BFPS with FRER - I am due DC4 1st July Grin

Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

Ds3 will be 7yo before dc4. Didnt really think it was such a big gap as he still feels like young iyswim til I sat and thought about it! Shock

Eskimo could you ask your Dr rather than relying on internet advice? I know my sister flew early on in both her pregnancies but she is super laid back and had no complications.

I would suggest that you rely on your own gut feeling.

SquirrelGirl78 · 12/11/2014 17:51

I fly for work almost every week. I talked to the GP about it and she said it was fine, if, my pregnancy doesn't become high risk and until end the second trimester. Hope that helps misseskimo

Doodlekitty · 12/11/2014 17:52

Made my appointment for my booking in today. Very excited. 11th December, although how im going to get the time off work without telling my boss i have no idea!

Stupid question time, I've just received a smear appointment, i cant have one while preggers can i?

hazelnutlatte · 12/11/2014 17:53

Thank you all, yes I get on reasonably well with my boss but she is quite stressed at the moment so I don't want to add to that! Also I'm a little paranoid about telling people so early - I'd like to keep it to myself if possible! I've had some time off sick from work recently (following a miscarriage) and have only just caught up with the backlog of work so I feel guilty about not being able to give 100% at work at the moment.

hazelnutlatte · 12/11/2014 17:54

Tallgirraffes I am tired today but no more than usual!

Kilicat · 12/11/2014 17:55

misseskimo I understand why you would be nervous! I'm afraid I have no idea personally but this is the NHS page on travel [http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/travel-pregnant.aspx] although you might want to phone the EPU and get more advice based on your personal circumstances.

Bustherb · 12/11/2014 18:12

Ah great news Tall, did you get a pic. How far gone are you? I'm feeling so sick today Confused I dream anyway but I've been having very random ones recently. I dreamt my baby was born talking and walking around !!! LOL xxx

broodylicious · 12/11/2014 18:16

Reading all about your worries with your bosses and work - so sorry you have the added hassle. I remember it well with dd. I was so sick in the early days, as I've said already, and an hour's commute took me an hour and a half to allow for puking stops HmmShock Not long after I'd told my boss, of course, it eased up! So there is honestly light at the end of the tunnel folks Smile
After returning to work having had a year off for maternity, I lasted two weeks then handed in my notice and now work for myself. No fearing bosses or reactions for me anymore but a lot of stress in other ways

So pleased all is well tallSmile Must be a weight off your mind.

Leela5 · 12/11/2014 19:03

I'm also 18th Smile

TallGiraffes · 12/11/2014 19:32

I do have a picture, but there's not much to see to be honest!! On the screen all you could see was the flickering of the heartbeat, no discernible shape. I'm 6w according to dates but the sonographer reckoned I might be a bit less than that according to size, but did say it was too early to be accurate.

I blurted it out to my best friend I was so relieved! She said she'd guessed so I must be looking rough. Still going to try and not tell family though, one of our close family had a TFMR the week before we got our BFP and I want to try and separate those two events as much as we can to try and reduce heartbreak.

TallGiraffes · 12/11/2014 19:33

Ps - good luck Wildfire for your scan tomorrow Flowers

Leela5 · 12/11/2014 19:35

I'm a bit nervous about lack of symptoms. I feel bit sick in morning and lots of dry mouth, weeing lots, plus diarrhoea. Boobs ache occasionally and I've got stretchy feelings. I'm 4+4. I am worried I'm not more sick as last time my symptoms slowly disappeared then I miscarried (in sept). Is anyone getting same as me?

TallGiraffes · 12/11/2014 19:43

Leela - that's lots of symptoms for 4w!! Impossible not to worry though, I totally get that.

cremedecacao · 12/11/2014 19:46

Hazel - my boss is super stressed too!! This couldn't have come at a worse time.

Two of my team said separately this week something along the lines of "oh, you're giving us at least a year before you start trying i hope, we couldn't cope with that!!"

Great. Now I REALLY feel like I can tell you! Hmm

smallgreenbanana · 12/11/2014 20:10

At the weekend I was very active and really convinced that I was going to be one of the lucky ones to get no sickness (my best friend got none at all). Today, however, I have spent the whole day battling nausea and trapped wind. Thank goodness for salt and vinegar snack-a-jacks! I think I'm going to have to keep rice cakes in my bag to nibble on between meals.

My commute is 2 hours door to door and normally I don't mind a bit, but sitting on the train feels so uncomfortable now. Sad

DH is not helping as he is so far only thinking I will not be sexy any more and worrying about jobs and money, and there is no joy at ALL in the happy news. Sad

SquirrelGirl78 · 12/11/2014 20:27

banana Please tell me your OH is joking?! He's so far only thinking you won't be sexy? Are you kidding?!

Thepurplegiraffe · 12/11/2014 20:42

I have had several people come up to me and tell me I am looking ill or tired in the last couple of days. So far I am putting it down to a bad sleeping one year old but my friend thinks I should tell my boss tomorrow. If last time is anything to go by I will be sick as a dog before long.
The very thought of snack a jacks makes me want to hurl. I couldn't even look at a packet of them last time!

Fleurchamp · 12/11/2014 20:51

leela I am getting the same symptoms as you. A few cramps, achy boobs off and on and nausea when I am hungry. No diarrhoea though, the opposite for me- I feel so bloated Blush

AudTheDeepMinded · 12/11/2014 21:10

Hello new ladies and good news on the scan Tall.
Creme. your cold might be rhinitus which can happen in pregnancy as the hormones effect mucus production. I have permanent sniffles at the moment, especially at night.
Well, my appetite has gone absent without leave. Am mostly eating 'beige food' and lucozade when I can. So hard to cook healthy meals for my boys when I just want to heave. Hope this passes soon.
I did a lot of flying in the first part of first pregnancy and it was fine. As a SAHM this time round I just stagger to playgroups and nursery! But think the other Mums are very tuned in and have had a few knowing looks this week, but I look like shit so not surprising really.
I will be exactly 12 weeks on Christmas day, how cool is that? Hope we are blooming by then.
TTFN

fattycow · 12/11/2014 21:35

I cannot wait for my scan at November 27th (at 9 weeks) and I also cannot wait for Christmas and the big reveal (at 13 weeks). Grin

Leela5 · 12/11/2014 22:21

Fatty you lucky thing! I'll only be 11 weeks just at Christmas so doubt I'll get scan before, also my last one scan was booked in for 10.5

Feel better knowing it's not just me with these symptoms. I am paranoid as when I lost my baby I first noticed things weren't right because symptoms started to go away. Next to relax

smallgreenbanana · 12/11/2014 22:49

squirrel We got pregnant really quickly and I think he's still in shock. He said as much this evening and apologised for calling me 'mumsy'! Smile He has a very stressful job and often it comes home with him, if you know what I mean.

Feeling a bit better this evening. Must remember to have something ready to eat at c.11am tomorrow morning!!

smallgreenbanana · 12/11/2014 23:00

My midwife appointment is on 4th December. Judging by everyone else, I can't see they will schedule the scan until after Christmas, which is very annoying because I want to tell everyone at Christmas! Plus, it's my first, so I need some reassurance that it's got a heart beat. Can't wait to tell my best friend - she will be over the moon - and my parents who had given up hope of being grandparents. Smile

Lots of symptoms flying around here. Very reassuring. I think I didn't realise there would be so many so early. So naive!

Leela5 · 13/11/2014 04:30

Getting earlier, 4am today!

Zampa · 13/11/2014 05:54

Ah! Only 0530 for me!
