Hi!

After approx 5 15 BFP's ranging from super faint IC's to super
BFPS with FRER - I am due DC4 1st July Grin

Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

Ds3 will be 7yo before dc4. Didnt really think it was such a big gap as he still feels like young iyswim til I sat and thought about it! Shock

sdyer · 07/11/2014 11:08

Hi all, sarky- that would drive me mad!! What if there aren't Any other pregnant ladies in your area??
I feel extra hungry today, normally I can last till lunch but I just had a yoghurt to get through.
My husband bought a whole crab and lobster from lidl and I can't have any Grrrrr Confused

Sarkymare · 07/11/2014 11:28

virtual

Ooh I'm five weeks on Monday. We won't be telling family until 12 weeks or so. Which is an improvement from My last prefnancy. We didn't tell anyone until I was 26 weeks Blush

twinkle I'm not a fan of Camembert but a huge bloody rare steak is a whole different matter Wink

syder they booked me in for the group session for next Tuesday, so I assume they have a few people booked in. I bet all they do is give us leaflets.

VirtualPointyHat · 07/11/2014 11:36

Did you not need to talk to your DParents to ask about family history before booking in appt?

With each of my DSis pregnancies her siblings, parents and grandparents have know by about 4 weeks!

TallGiraffes · 07/11/2014 11:41

Sarky - what if you know the other women Shock Surely that breaks all sorts of confidentiality issues?!

I live in a tiny village so the chances of me bumping into someone I know at the GPs is pretty high!

twinkletoes2015 · 07/11/2014 12:02

sarky oh no! I didn't even think about steak! I love a good juicy rare steak!

I'm finding it very difficult not telling anyone else about the pregnancy. Both our parents know, my brother and SIL and my best friend oh and my boss because my work require you to inform them as soon as possible for health and safety reasons. I wish I could've kept quiet until my first scan though!

Sarkymare · 07/11/2014 12:12

virtual My family medical history is pretty clean. I was only really asked wether any of my family had diabetes or heart disease I think.

Tallgiraffes I have only lived in the area for two years and I don't actually know anyone here so that wouldn't really be a problem for me. I imagine it would for some of the other woman though.

It's a new scheme and they will be wanting feedback afterwards so I might highlight this as a problem.

misseskimo · 07/11/2014 12:24

Hi all can I join?
Got my BFP the night before my bday which was a lovely present! NHS site reckons due date of 13th July!

Hasn't really sunk in for us yet, we've been TTC for 3.5yrs now and had been going through all the testing etc. For fertility most of this year. In fact we just got our referral last month to a specialist as DH was told he only had a 1% active count - so a BFP was a real (happy) shock!

Not wanting to tell anyone yet as we've only told my sister we were trying in all this time, and I'm terrified to jinx it. But I'm feeling so unwell this past week! Major cramps, sore boobs, nauseous and exhausted all the time. A few people at work have already started to make comments! I have a Dr apt tonight for a checkup make sure the cramps are normal etc.

twinkletoes2015 · 07/11/2014 12:50

Wonderful news misseskimo Smile

I'm having the cramping too, everyone tells me it's pretty normal

headlesschicken247 · 07/11/2014 13:01

Twinkle on the nhs site it states you can have Camembert if baked and prop hot as this kills any bacteria on the rind. I got a little overexcited when I discovered this with dc1. Also I found 1 nhs site that said rare steak ok as long as the outside properly cooked as that is where any bacteria is. Not that I was hunting these out- honest!!! At the end of the day though it's up to you. In France they recommend liver for pregnant women whereas in UK they suggest limiting vit a. All swings and roundabouts!

Threeplus1 · 07/11/2014 14:28

congrats misseskimo Grin

butler I am having the same bowel issues....forget morning sickness, I'm rushing to the loo for very different reasons Blush

As far as what you can/can't eat, I think the biggest risk is improper handling of food. As headlesschicken has said, soft, unripened cheeses are fine if cooked - so a broccoli and blue cheese soup is perfectly ok and so is some baked brie/camembert with crusty bread. Sushi is fine too if you eat it fresh from a place that has good hygiene practices - women in Japan have been eating it for centuries, and it is in fact recommended as part of a healthy pregnancy diet (avoiding fish with higher mercury levels of course)

Am I the only one with very normal boobs?! It's not fair! 4 pregnancies and my boobs barely change in size (at least until my milk comes in anyway). I think that bigger boobs are the least I deserve for going through all the other not so pleasant symptoms Envy

Sarkymare · 07/11/2014 15:41

Brilliant news Misseskimo congratulations! We share a due date too Grin

I'm glad you have said that about the steak headless I did give in and have it about five times when I was pregnant with DS. When my mum was pregnant with my brother she had very low iron and her doctor ordered her to eat liver. 3 years later and she was pregnant with my other brother and the doctor told her liver was absolutely not allowed, it was dangerous etc etc. It was the same doctor too. The advice is forever changing.

Sarkymare · 07/11/2014 15:50

three nope my boobs have stayed pretty normal too. Well as normal as they can be as I'm still BF DS. When in was pregnant with him they had grown two cup sizes before I was 6 weeks pregnant. So I was sort of hoping for similar this time round as I currently have extremely wonky breasts. One is a B the other a C. I was (and still am!!) hoping that will correct itself with this pregnancy.

Butler4 · 07/11/2014 16:08

Love readings everyone's comments and so glad I am not alone with the bowel issues.
I have heavy, hard and tender boobs just now and I'm only just over 5 weeks. It's crazy.

Hi all!

Congratulations to the newbies! :-) my boobs feel normal size wize although hubby did comment but I can't see it myself. I was looking forward to having big ones!! It's a relief to take my bra off though x

Tiptoeshoes · 07/11/2014 16:58

Bluergh

So tired and feel rotten. So happy to be pregnant but had forgotten how rough it makes me feel Confused

Going it have a quiet weekend and get dh to run around after our 2 yr old. So I can have a rest!!

Only 4.2 weeks, months of sickness to go...

Anyone else feeling rough??

Thepurplegiraffe · 07/11/2014 17:19

Thanks Wildfire great job! There are a lot of us already.

My boobs never seem to change size much, I have continued to wear the same size all the way through pregnancy and breastfeeding.

I have had some nausea though nowhere near as much as last time and almost none today. Early days though, I am almost hoping for it at the moment as a sign that things are progressing.

Tiptoeshoes · 07/11/2014 17:26

Thankyou wildfire. Lots of July babies hooray!

My boobs do feel a bit sore, not as bad as last time though. Still bf my toddler though so I don't know if that's helping or not.

misseskimo · 07/11/2014 18:16

Thanks ladies!

12th seems to be a popular date doesn't it!

tiptoeshoes I've felt awful all week! Never realised you can feel this rough in such early stages (obviously a bit naive!). I'm so tired and feel nauseous all the time. Really bad stomach cramps, painful boobs and backache - It's making sleeping really uncomfortable :( But then last night DH sent me to bed at 8pm as I was dead on my feet, and bar waking up to my alarm at 6am (ended up calling in sick this morning) I slept right through to midday! How long does this last exactly? Lol

three my boobs have stayed the same size so far, they just hurt!

Has anyone else got really bad constant bloating/water retention? Mine's to the point that I LOOK like I'm already a few months in! I've had to wear loose tunic dresses and leggings most of the week, cause my usual workwear gives me a very noticeable "bump" and considering I'm usually pretty flat stomached, its already raised a few questions from colleagues! :/ x

Bustherb · 07/11/2014 19:10

Misseskimo, I also have very bad bloating! I'm the same looking like I have a bump! My boobs really really hurt too, even going over bumps in the car hurt me!! I know exactly how you feel xxxxx hugs xxx

sdyer · 07/11/2014 19:33

Thank you wildfire :-) so many babies to look forward to!!
I've finally received my booking in appointment!! Yay!! It's on the 11th December a work day so perhaps I should inform my line manager as i don't want to take a days leave as you're aloud antenatal appts off without having to take leave?

scrivette · 07/11/2014 21:02

Hello!

Did a pregnancy test this morning and got a strong line. Going from date of last period I will be 4 weeks but am sure it's less than that.

misseskimo · 08/11/2014 00:04

Glad to hear I'm not alone bustherb

I've actually just left the early pregnancy unit after 4hrs! Had my Dr apt. Who rang the on call gynae registrar to get advice, 4hrs later I've been booked in for a 7wk scan on 21st to make sure everythings ok as I add apparently have a mild infection... Its like the 2ww all over again but for very different reasons! Sad

Zampa · 08/11/2014 06:22

Anyone else suffering from insomnia?!

New here and hoping to join in. Got my BFP yesterday but not sure of my due date. The interweb is saying 16th July so going with that.

Great tips on how to look like you're drinking when you're not. Some devious minds at work!

Zampa · 08/11/2014 06:31

Hope that you got some sleep misseskimo and that everything turns out OK.
