After approx 5 15 BFP's ranging from super faint IC's to super
BFPS with FRER - I am due DC4 1st July

Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

Ds3 will be 7yo before dc4. Didnt really think it was such a big gap as he still feels like young iyswim til I sat and thought about it!

I found out on Monday that I'm expecting DC2. Going by my LMP I will be due around July 13th

Squirrel I'm pretty sure my boobs are less sore than my first pregnancy at this stage, I put it down to the fact that I only stopped breastfeeding fairly recently but every pregnancy is different anyway! Also may just be in my head as it's nothing compared to breastfeeding engorged boobs which I had yet to experience at this stage last time. Also last time they weren't sore at all any more by 6 weeks and all was fine!

I took the plunge today and called the midwives, only to be told I have to go to my GP surgery to fill out a form and they will contact me in 2-3 weeks, bit of an anti-climax and now have to walk a mile in the rain with DS to get a form! They also suggested I make a GP appointment but I'm reluctant because last time the GP just confirmed the due date by LMP, told me to take folic acid and vitamin D and that was it so it seems like a waste of everyone's time. Has anyone else found a GP appointment useful at this stage?

I hate it when people talk about the gender of a baby. They mean the sex, but they say gender. But your gender is how you feel on the inside and is not necessarily the same as the bits on the outside!

At our docs you need the docs appt first to fill in all the paper work. They take a urine sample and then send off the forms to which ever hospital you are going to. This will trigger the scan appt. Also they contact the midwife group who will then schedule the hour and a half booking in appt…

Got my docs appt today. Unlike last time when I had to wait nearly 3 weeks I got it on Monda - so I'm hoping this is a positive omen

mister if you haven't already gone to gp, I'd give them a call, they might be able to complete form over phone or post it. Ours don't need to see you and just give you midwives number.
I'm 6 weeks today too. Been at a very very boring conference this afternoon with boss and almost fell asleep twice!

Yes butler I am!! It's very much on and off but some days I can't stomach anything and my belly just seems to want to get rid of anything I eat and then on other days I can't go to the toilet and I get so bloated I look pregnant xxx hope it settles soon xx

got my booking in app booked for 2nd december and scan booked for for 17th december so excited keep feeling mega sick and tired xxxx

Thanks Touch, I went to pick up the form and was given a huge bounty pack full of useless crap interesting magazines and offers, made even worse as it was out of date so all the deals have already expired. The one thing I was after - the registration form - was not in there so I had to go back to get it. Luckily checked before I got all the way home!
I have a lot of trapped wind Butler but the opposite toilet problem am now paying for my increased appetite over the last week.

I'm due 8th of July with my first baby.

So far I'm not feeling too bad, slight nausea, really sore and heavy boobs, period like cramping pains and really really forgetful (well more than usual!!) I'm hoping all these are normal, as this is my first I am a bit unsure as to what to expect!

My GP was exactly the same, confirmed due date, said take folic acid and that someone from the anti natal clinic will be in touch to book me an appointment. Is this correct?

I was awake for the day at that exact time yesterday Touch, so frustrating. Hope you got some more sleep.

Welcome Twinkle. I keep losing words and sentences while trying to talk to my new boss at work, luckily she just thinks I am knackered through having a 1 yr old who wakes up a lot.

Morning all

I tried to make a booking in appointment yesterday. Only to be informed that before I can be booked in and have my urine and blood checked, I first must attend a group session with other newly pregnant women to receive much needed advice. Then and only then will they make me a booking on apt.

I wouldn't mind but I had DC1 less than a year ago. I know the basics of what's what. I just want my blood to be checked. My pregnancy tests are not getting any darker and it is worrying me a little now

OMG sarky that is amazing, Im not sure I could deal with that even as a newbie!

I am an emotional mess at the moment, I feel like I am no longer in control of my body, can't eat what I want, can't take any medication (not that I currently need any!), brain like a sieve and so so so tired!

Arghh, hopefully there will be a lovely baby in July to justify all the madness

How far gone are you? Is this your first? I'm feeling rather the same. I went food shopping yesterday and was a bit sad about all the things I'm not going to be able to eat now.

I also went upstairs twice to fetch a jumper yesterday. Both times I came back empty handed. I think it's just tiredness but I quite like having the baby brain excuse again

Hi Sarky, yes my first, 5 weeks today.

DH is trying to be supportive, but it is more suffocating.

Haven't told anyone in RL except DH, so feeling like everyone thinks I am going weird. ( I had 3 months off work last year for MH issues so not an entirely groundless fear!)

Sarky, I'm also upset about the food thing! All I can think about at the minute is Camembert with some crusty bread to dip in it... Drool
