Hi!

After approx 5 15 BFP's ranging from super faint IC's to super
BFPS with FRER - I am due DC4 1st July Grin

Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

Ds3 will be 7yo before dc4. Didnt really think it was such a big gap as he still feels like young iyswim til I sat and thought about it! Shock

So sorry ToastedCheese. My heart goes out to you. I had a MMC in July - I know how horrible it is. Fingers crossed you get pregnant again soon. Take care.

Doodlekitty · 04/11/2014 19:32

Hi ladies. Got my bfp on sat, due 12th July. Feeling very nervous as ive previously had 2 early mcs, but fingers crossed for this time

IBelieveInPink · 04/11/2014 19:34

Hi ladies. Also freaking out massively. Nothing new for me though, 2mcs before my dd mean I am definitely in the 'negative' camp until I see a wriggly baby on a screen.

Speaking of which, what is everyone thinking of doing about scans? I don't think I'll manage to hold out til the 12 week scan which will surely be after Christmas, we want to tell family Christmas Day, so need to book in an early scan. But also want to leave it as close to Christmas as possible so we are assured that things haven't gone wrong... Oh the effort!
and what if it does? Ah well at least could crack on to the winter Pimms!

TouchPauseEngage · 04/11/2014 20:11

Welcome doodlekitty

ibelieve think I'll be 12 weeks on 18th Dec. I have a wedding on20th so would like to tell people before then. does the scan tend to be booked for 12th week or can it be later?

Tempted to book a private one but nearest place is in Nottingham which a i trek for us.

Tiptoeshoes · 04/11/2014 20:16

Can I join please??

Just had 3 positive tests!! Due 15th July I think.

This is dc number 2 . Number 1 dd is 2 and we've been trying for our second for six months. So I am very very happy :)

My condolences go to those who've had losses Thanks I'm keen to keep this pregnancy a secret till 12 weeks.

I'm expecting it to be hard though as I am already feeling pretty sick. I was very sick from 5 weeks till 18 weeks last time and lost two stone. Fingers crossed it's not sooo bad this time.

Looking forward to getting to know the July 2015 group Smile

Tiptoeshoes · 04/11/2014 20:17

I'm really hoping to get a scan before Christmas but kind of doubt it. I remember from first time it was sooo busy and had to wait till 13 weeks.

Might do a private one but don't really have money for that this side of Christmas!

IBelieveInPink · 04/11/2014 20:27

touch my last was at 12+2. Which this time for me would be 30th December! I'm just hoping it's not the first week of January, I'm due to start back at work from my maternity leave that week

ignominious · 04/11/2014 21:01

NHS website says 8-14 weeks for dating scan. I'll hopefully be 11+4 xmas day which seems a bit soon even accounting for that? Never heard of people having a scan at 8 weeks.

TouchPauseEngage · 04/11/2014 21:09

Ig I saw that and wondered if it meant that, if you have an early scan at 8, you don't get another at 12? Think I'll wait till I see midwife at 9 weeks and see what she says.

I'm so bloody tired and keep trying to get an early night but we're having fireworks till ten most nights and Ddog is a wibbling nervous rescue dog and we can't leave him alone when they're going off so I'm ending up in the spare bed and DH has DDog sat on his head shaking.

TouchPauseEngage · 04/11/2014 21:16

ibelieve how do you think that the news will go down at work?

I'm self employed but work mainly for one company. My boss there has said three times in the last month, 'your not going to get pregnant are you?' As one of the other girls at work is 7 months. He won't have to pay me mat pay but think he's worried It'll been hard to find a replacement (not because I'm special but because I do three people's job for the price of one).

That makes him sound like and arse but he's not, he's very lovely, but my job definitely won't be there if I have any time off.

IBelieveInPink · 04/11/2014 21:36

touch paaahaha it will not go down well at all. Not because I'm amazing or anything, because they have had a nightmare covering my role while I've been off. Because I do a much more senior role than I am paid to do, so it's impossible to get it covered!
But they are also the most unfamily friendly company I've ever heard of. So they will be well impressed with me!

Linseyd · 04/11/2014 21:36

evening ladies so sorry for your loss toastedcheese big hugs ,
im 6 weeks now how far gone are you ladies xxx

headlesschicken247 · 04/11/2014 21:43

Just checking in. bfp this evening - think due date round about 11th but after a mc at end of Aug I didn't notice when I started my last period so there is an element of guess work going on…….
This will be dc2.

Thepurplegiraffe · 04/11/2014 21:49

Welcome Headless and congrats. Hope this one sticks.

I am only about 4 weeks, can't believe how slowly it is going. I just want to get to a point where I feel a little more safe.

Doesn't sound like you are too bothered what they think IbelieveGrin

TouchPauseEngage · 04/11/2014 21:56

ibelieve ugh won't be a fun conversation then. I worked for company when I first let uni which employed only white, female graduates and as soon as someone got pregnant they were sacked. The company would just settle out of court. They started employing mangers who were in same sex relationships, only to be suprised that they too started families! in a way it's quite nice not having a contract and I'm lucky that I will be able to do lots of catering work (which is what I actually enjoy) if I need to.

TouchPauseEngage · 04/11/2014 21:59

purple the days are going so slowly and life is much less fun without my weekly wine night with friends. I feel tense all the time and am second guessing everything my body does. Also I am sick to death of peeing every 5 minutes.

MsRyanGosling · 04/11/2014 22:30

I'm sorry toasted Thanks Sad

Yep weeks are dragging. Doesn't help that we are able to get a BFP so early I had kine at 10dpo. Imagine if we had to wait until two missed periods like in the days before hpt's! We'd be like 8-9 weeks !

OP posts:
Linseyd · 04/11/2014 22:36

i agree its dragging cant wait to get booking in done and scan sorted xxxx

Doodlekitty · 05/11/2014 06:33

Yeah, its really dragging. I knew at 5 weeks with dc1 and i seemed to be pregnant forever. It was 3 weeks this time! I havent even told docs yet to arrange a booking in

IBelieveInPink · 05/11/2014 07:21

I'm waiting till I get a 3+ on the clear blue digi before I contact the docs

VirtualPointyHat · 05/11/2014 07:47

I went to Asda last night, and had a freak out at all the aisles of baby stuff. What do you do with it all?

Came home to DH who has been reading books for Dads and apparently has this stuff covered. Phew!

IBelieveInPink · 05/11/2014 08:49

virtual you panic buy it all, thinking that you cannot possibly survive without it, they only sell it because it is essential.
You then very quickly realise this is complete crap, you actually use about 10% of the mountain of 'essentials' you have bought, and you stick the rest into the re-gifting drawer to give to some other poor sod that thinks they need it Grin

VirtualPointyHat · 05/11/2014 10:41

Haha thanks Pink!

My major issues were all the various bodyuits, play suits, sleepsuits

I assune they layer, but how??

Again DH says his book has this covered!

sdyer · 05/11/2014 12:39

My sister had her new born in a shirt sleeved body suit then a long one over it. The midwives said it's to protect the cord

VirtualPointyHat · 05/11/2014 13:06

stupid question - but I thought the cord would be inside the nappy waistband?
