Hi!

After approx 5 15 BFP's ranging from super faint IC's to super
BFPS with FRER - I am due DC4 1st July Grin

Already have ds1-16y,ds2-12y, ds3-6y.

Ds3 will be 7yo before dc4. Didnt really think it was such a big gap as he still feels like young iyswim til I sat and thought about it! Shock

Waves at Ibelieve.

Welcome username and congratulations. I had a breech elcs as well. Have you thought about what you will do next time?

Last time work guessed before I could tell them as I was so sick but you don't have to tell them for ages.

sdyer · 03/11/2014 13:33

Thank you Thepurplegiraffe I'll see if they guess if not I'll hold out till as long as I can.

WiIdfire · 03/11/2014 13:38

Some of you have really early midwife appointments - i booked mine for 8 weeks as I thought that was when it was supposed to be. When have you others got them?

usernameiwanted · 03/11/2014 13:54

I'm sure your meant to tell work before 24 weeks so just tell them when your ready, you have plenty of time.

I have had a thought about this birth and either way, the thought terrifies me! I think I'll make the decision around 35 weeks as by then ill just want the baby out no matter what exit is used!

AudTheDeepMinded · 03/11/2014 13:55

sdyer, you might want to tell your line manager sooner as they are legally bound to undertake a risk assessment for you. Thus you may do work that requires heavy lifting or exposes you to other risks such as lambs for example. When I had DS1 I did a lot of outdoors lone working and driving which did not mix well with tiredness and sickness! Just a thought.

sdyer · 03/11/2014 14:02

Thank you everyone. That's a point as I work for a construction industry and sometimes need to go on site

Thepurplegiraffe · 03/11/2014 14:30

Then you probably should! Do you know what they will be like? I actually found it much easier once they knew but it depends on the company.

VirtualPointyHat · 03/11/2014 14:35

Sorry, first timer question..

So if some of you are telling work now, have you already told close family?

sdyer · 03/11/2014 14:47

Thank you everyone! They'll be fine (I hope) there's been a few pregnancies recently :-)

sdyer · 03/11/2014 14:57

No worries, we can add her on the next one x

usernameiwanted · 03/11/2014 15:07

I'm due on the 12th too. I've only told two close friends so far and my husband as he's away until December. I find its always weirder telling family. Is it just me or do they not say congratulations. .

sdyer · 03/11/2014 15:11

usernameiwanted thank you, that must be hard! Sad I can't actually remember what they said now. I think it was a mix of congrats and that's great news!

Linseyd · 03/11/2014 15:42

anyone have any midwife appointments booked still waiting for mine told my work today thats everyone now how are all you ladies today xxxx

sdyer · 03/11/2014 15:54

Hi Linseyd I faxed and emailed my self referral form to the antenatal dept at the hosp so should hopefully get an Appointment soon. They say the first one is almost 2hrs long then the 12 week one will hopefully be e/o December. I'm still going to the GP to to tell them on weds xxx

SophieBarringtonWard · 03/11/2014 16:11

I'm going to call the midwife on Monday if I haven't bled by then

As to telling work, I will leave it till Jan/Feb I think. You legally have to tell them before 26 weeks I think. Telling the general world will be after 12 weeks too but might tell select friends earlier (in fact I have told a handful of close friends already - those who I don't mind telling I've miscarried if that happens again basically!)

VirtualPointyHat · 03/11/2014 16:28

I am paranoid that something will go wrong if I tell anyone, I know it is mad, but can't bring myself to do it yet.

I think I am driving DH batty, and really he could do with some support Hmm

sdyer · 03/11/2014 16:28

Hi Sophie, I think I'll wait till January to tell work. It's not that far away really and if they guess in the mean time (which they might as I'm going to cancel on the Xmas ball). Then I'll tell line manager

Linseyd · 03/11/2014 17:12

Fab ladies my poor dp is getting the brunt of it cant stop having a go at him he is really annoying xxxx

Thepurplegiraffe · 03/11/2014 17:24

I'm not bothering to book any appointments either yet Sophie. I at least want to get as far as last time before I do anything. I'm not sure who I am going to tell but I guess those I will want to know if I mc so I have their support. My mum and sis know already. I might tell one person at work so I have someone there.

ignominious · 03/11/2014 17:50

Thanks sdyer I'm the 12th as well. Got a very dark line today, yay.

Thepurplegiraffe · 03/11/2014 17:52

Good news Ignominious!

Thepurplegiraffe · 03/11/2014 17:54

BTW is anyone still getting cramps, trying to work out if they are normal?

Kilicat · 03/11/2014 17:56

virtualpointyhat I know what you mean - we've not told anyone and will try to keep it that way until Christmas...I am also stupidly paranoid that telling people will cause it to go wrong (totally ridiculous I know as telling people is not going to have any affect). This might have to change if I end up dashing out of my classroom to be sick regularly (I'm a teacher)!! Congratulations and welcome.

How is everyone? Is anyone being sick yet? I think we've got that to look forward to soon....I'm trying to make the most of feeling good for the next couple of weeks. Can any of you experienced mums out there tell us what to expect?
