Hello ladies - can I crash here? I'm 40 and pregnant with baby number 2 (hopefully - I had a MC last year so am a bit cautious). Only 4 weeks and time is draaaaaaaaagging

Snooky17 · 20/01/2015 11:00

Hello Monty and Gooo congratulations and welcome x

Debbiemac1 · 20/01/2015 11:45

Hi can I join in too. I am 44 (45 next Thursday tbh) so probably the oldest by far on here. We are totally in shock, I took a test on Saturday never even thinking it would be positive but my period is always clockwork 25-26 days, it came back positive Pregnant 1-2 weeks. Although at GP yesterday that one came back negative but waiting on bloods today. Pretty sure I am. To be perfectly honest we are numb. This was not planned. I have 4 DD's, 21, 19, 7 and 4 and thought we were well and truly done. Scared doesn't even cover it.

Tilly1969 · 20/01/2015 12:24

Hi would love to join too. I'm 45 will be 46 by my due date 21-9-15. This will be my 3rd child but 5 th pregnancy. ( 2 MC before my 1st child) your right GoooRooo time is really dragging! Trying not to think about this too much until I get a scan. Dr's appoint next week. Not sure if they'll give me a early scan. Hope so. Good luck everyone!! x

stubbornstains · 20/01/2015 13:26

Wow, look at all the newbies- hello and welcome! The first September due dates Smile.

Who wants to go on the Great Big Stats List now, and who wants to wait? (will try and update later).

45Monty · 20/01/2015 13:57

stubbornstains excuse the newbie question here but... what is the Great Big Stats List?

HexyQueen · 20/01/2015 16:41

Welcome newbies! And huge congrats! The big stats list is a list of all of us, user names, age, any kids already & their ages, plus your due date. Some people want to go on it straight away, others want to wait a few weeks, or until their 12 week scan, it really is up to you. Time really does drag first trimester but speeds up after that :)

Lolababy00 · 20/01/2015 17:26

Hi had scan today all went well, not as many weeks but my cycle has been a bit all over the place. I'm about 6 -61/2 weeks, baby due roughly 12th of September . It was nice seeing a tiny heartbeat too.
Welcome Tilly and Debbie
Good luck on Thursday Probably

Debbiemac1 · 20/01/2015 18:43

I might not be here too long. I had bloods done yesterday and apparently at 33 days since lmp my hcg is 46. So pregnant but very low result apparently. GP seems to think v early miscarriage so I have to do another blood test on Thursday and results Friday so really frustrating.

Lolababy00 · 20/01/2015 18:44

Oh hi monty too Smile

Lolababy00 · 20/01/2015 18:51

Sorry about your news Debbie .... Thinking of you Flowers

45Monty · 20/01/2015 22:43

Hi Lola

45Monty · 20/01/2015 22:46

Debbie sorry to hear. Thinking of you! Hoping you see your numbers double on Thurs!

Sparrowlegs248 · 21/01/2015 14:08

Hello all and welcome newbies!! I am 12 wks today!! Eeeeep! Scan is Friday so FX for all being as it should be. Celebrated reaching the end of the first trimester by a really evil bout of morning sickness and vomiting before work today. ....

Gingerbreadlady1 · 21/01/2015 21:35

Hi everyone, welcome newbies! Lovely to have some new old birds.

debbie, I'm so sorry, really hope you get some good news.

Congrats notta

lola congrats on the scan, seeing the hb for the first time is amazing.

How's everyone else? I've to let work know when I'm finishing up, struggling to know how much time before edd to take. Thoughts anyone?

Ginger I left at 36 weeks using two weeks holiday, so my maternity didn't start until week 38 ... I had DD at 38+2 so it worked really well. Also the two weeks leading up to leaving I used holiday to cut my hours down so I was only doing 3 day weeks. I did find I was really tired at end and I think I would of struggled doing 40 hrs a week.

Tranquilitybaby · 22/01/2015 07:41

Ah lots of new people! Welcome x

Debbie I hope you get good news on your bloods today, thinking of you.

Hi oldies, I'm doing ok, had a bit of a wobble the last couple of days as haven't felt any flutterings, but they came back last night so all is well again.

Anyone bought their Cotbed yet? I'm looking for a white one. John Lewis has a lovely sleigh bed but it's a bit pricey after the pram expense.

ProbablyMe · 22/01/2015 15:18

Just to say that very sadly I will be leaving this thread as when I went for Amnio today our baby was found to have died a couple of days ago.

Very very best wishes to everyone x

Sparrowlegs248 · 22/01/2015 17:01

Oh probably i'm so sorry. I can't begin to imagine how you are feeling. Take care.

FX for your test results tomorrow Debbie

I feel shocking today, so miserable and low, as well as nausea. I have taken the day off work. I feel a bit pathetic as I have been reading on here of HG and being sick 20 times a day. I do feel better for being at home though.

Sparrowlegs248 · 22/01/2015 17:04

I do have my scan tomorrow, and am worried about that. I'm veering between looking forward to it and being scared that something bad will show up.

I'm also dreading telling work.

Lolababy00 · 22/01/2015 17:08

probablyso sorry to hear of your loss

Gingerbreadlady1 · 22/01/2015 17:31

probably, I'm so very very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how you're feeling. My thoughts are with you xx

Did you decide about when to finish work ginger? I will have a new years worth of holiday entitlement in April. 27 days. Edd 5th August. I don't know if I have to take the holiday before going off or if it will carry over til I go back?

Am thinking Mat leave at 38 wks and 2 weeks holiday prior to that.

supersupersupershock · 22/01/2015 19:11

probably so sorry to hear of your loss Flowers

stubbornstains · 22/01/2015 19:30

I'm so very sorry probably. If only there was something we could say to make it better.

((hugs))
