Ooh just seen there is a June 2015 thread now. Makes us seem like old hands Smile

I don't know, I feel a bit uncomfortable with the idea of a facebook group as I prefer the anonymity mumsnet provides, on facebook you have to be the real 'you' IYSWIM.

Also I have a policy of keeping my pregnancies off facebook, just in case the worst should happen, I don't want everyone I know to know, if that makes sense?

HippoPottyMouth · 07/10/2014 20:12

I don't really have a strong opinion about the Facebook group, if we start one I'll certainly join, but I think it's best to stay here for now, especially as people are still arriving after waiting til first scan etc. They would not find us on a Facebook group.
I think the Facebook group is good to graduate to once babies have arrived and the threads tend to quieten down quite a lot. That's how it worked in my previous ante / post natal thread from here anyway. Now that those babies are hitting their 4th birthdays (!) we just have occasional updates, but it's nice to see how they are all getting on Smile

BonjourMinou, it would be a private hidden group presumably, so none of your Facebook friends would be able to see you were in it or see any posts in it so it wouldn't affect that side of things

Yes. My Feb 12 one is private and secret. No one can see you are a member.

As I said I'd be on both sites... Can't get to fb easily from work... But outside I prefer it... And I like knowing real names...

cinnamongreyhound · 07/10/2014 20:40

I posted my news on fb yesterday and have had loads of lovely congratulations and only two ask if it was an accident! Joys of a 4 1/2 year age gap I guess Wink

That's awful SquattingNeville! Shock hope you get some sleep Thanks

sazzle82G · 07/10/2014 22:22

Oh squattingneville. What a horrible thing for people to say, are you keeping it? I think they'd get a slap from me, or at least I'd want to give them one. Smile

12 weeks today and, holy moly, scan tomorrow. My first one so I'm praying all is fine. Squattingneville is yours tomorrow too? I seem to remember we're about the same dates.

My phone has suddenly changed the way I can view MN. It's much easier to view all the threads now. Anyone else's changed?

londonlivvy · 07/10/2014 22:39

ah squatting Neville people can be so rude! when I announced I was Preg with DD, I had a range of rubbish responses including

-but you're not married (no, but since it's not 1954, it doesn't matter)
-who's the father? (my fiance. who the hell else)
-(my mum after a long silence) I'll get your father.

Are you the last SazzleG82 and SquatingNeville? We must be getting quite close to the end of April now? Oh no wait someone else is Friday BananaToast?

Lauren82000 · 08/10/2014 07:30

I'm somewhere between 21st and 24th of April I think. After that last scan on Friday when she said I was about half a week ahead but didn't give me specifics I'm a bit lost where I am. I'm either 12+1 or 11+5 still not got my scan letter Confused least I know there is a baby in there and it's ok.

daholster · 08/10/2014 08:18

My eeeeeaaaaarrrr.... Sad

TinyTear · 08/10/2014 08:20

ARE THRE DROPS NOT WORKING!??

(sorry Grin)

BananaToast · 08/10/2014 08:21

Yep cinnamon it's me and mswibble on Friday.

Good luck today Squatting and sazzle.

Bonjour, I'm with you - I'd rather have the anonymity of Mumsnet at the moment rather than Facebook. I think I'm with Hippo on wanting one post-arrival!

I'm back on the scanxiety sofa... scan at 3.20pm! At least this time I know I'm far enough along for them to get the measurements and I know there's somebody hopping around in there, but still nervous... and I have to try and get a morning's work done at home somehow!

On the paperwork front... I phoned the midwives who said round here they issue the Mat1B at the 28 week appointment with them, but the maternity exemption certificate is sorted by the doctor. So I shall have to chase that with the surgery. That'll give me something else to do today, but at least I know if I'm coming or going now.

12w+4 (although expecting to be put forward a few days at the screening now based on last time).

BrixtonBunny · 08/10/2014 08:28

Morning ladies, so nice to have so much positive scan news! Is anyone having one today? Am I right in thinking we've no twins on the April thread yet?!

I don't mind about Facebook, happy with whatever people want to do.

For those who we're saying that they've felt a few flutters, me too! Trying to not get too excited but I've had a couple of moments of feeling little flutters / spasm feelings in my uterus. Grin

Also starting to feel round ligament pain - ouch. Sneezing is not funHmm

Second trimester today! Feels like such a milestone.

BrixtonBunny · 08/10/2014 08:29

Cross post with Annia, good luck for scan! X

daholster · 08/10/2014 08:45

Grin tinytear

I probably just need to be patient. Went to bed at 8.30 last night!!! I feel like I have just been ill and exhausted for weeks... sigh

Good luck with the scans today!

dancestomyowntune · 08/10/2014 08:48

So at 13+2 weeks my morning sickness has graduated from feeling sick to actually throwing up. I thought it was meant to get better now not worse!!

Siarie · 08/10/2014 09:03

I think I'm going to be one of the last for my 12 week scan. It's being done at 12+3 and I'm 10+6 at the moment.

Although it does seem to be going quickly though! I remember the first eight weeks dragged but since then time has just sped forward. That said it feels like ages away until April!

TinyTear · 08/10/2014 09:04

dances I heard nausea usually had a last hurrah before going, so might be it...

dancestomyowntune · 08/10/2014 09:25

I certainly hope so TinyTear!!!!

Oh dear, sorry so many people are feeling ill. It does feel like we've moved straight from first trimester sickness into autumn/winter bugs. I guess being pg means we are more prone to catch everything.

Tiny that's interesting about nauseau having a last hurrah - my nausea went at 12 weeks but at 13 weeks I felt sick all weekend and threw up, which I'd not done before. Then not been nauseous (well not much) since.

I think DD might have chickenpox Sad luckily I've had it.

LadyNovember · 08/10/2014 10:21

Wow just caught up on quite a few pages. Congrats to everyone with lovely scan pictures etc and sorry for those of you feeling ill. I've luckily been fine apart from insane tiredness lately!

I'm cool with a facebook group but also equally as happy to wait until babies are arriving - whichever the majority vote gets I guess?

I have my nuchal scan on Monday. I have started getting extremely scanxious..googling horror stories etc etc. WTH is wrong with me?! Had a lovely dancing bean with heartbeat at 10+2 so there's no reason there won't be a hb on Monday but I can't talk myself out of this fuzz I'm in Confused

Also been getting lots of stretching "pains" again..anyone else? It's not pain per se, just an annoying cramping sensation. As I mentioned before I have a tilted uterus though so it could be starting to move upwards/forwards now I guess? Who knows.
