Re work - actually, I told my guys right off. I kind of had to because I co-own the company and, although they knew we were going to be trying, I wanted to let them know so we can plan and, more importantly, cover for when I'm feeling crap! (Which has been frequently, tho I don't think I've actually had to have any days off yet - other than for that cold - speaking of which, glad you found the lemon/honey/chilli concoction effective daholster :0D)

DP (or Dorothy Perkins, as I have now decided to call him :0) made a splendid gaff at his workplace the other day.
Someone asked him for a piece of software off his USB stick. He handed it over, the co-worker plugged it in and was like 'Huh? Pictures of a baby??' Turns out DP had used the stick to get photos of our scan copied at boots and forgotten they were on there.
Oh well - they had to know sometime! :)

Lauren I get up at least twice a night to go for a wee at the moment, even if I go just before going to sleep... So annoying... Hmm

prevlurker123 · 05/10/2014 10:44

Hey can I ask a question about skin blemishes? (How glamorous, I know!). I have never had perfect skin but just the standard spots here and there. Since becoming pregnant I think my skin has actually been clearer (no alcohol probably helps!) but I have had a couple of larger blemishes (not spots) that arent really going away. They werent sore or anything, and they are sorta changing shape a bit. Becoming a bit sunken in the middle. They are maybe 1cm or so in length. I can cover them up fairly well with make up but its beginning to play on my mind that they are still there. Googling brought up a whole lot of terrifying links, and I think I might now go to doc this week. But wondering if its just perhaps another weird pregnancy side affect?
Really appreciating all the posts...so great and helpful reading what everyone is experiencing!

Ola everyone! Glad I found you all again!

I survived my week in Moscow, it seems that all my symptoms took a holiday too. No nausea or anything whilst away but now its back with a vengeance! Plus, like lauren im up at least twice a night for a wee!

Got my second appt with the midwife tomorrow, the original midwife didnt know why I was booked in with her as there is a clinic closer to me so going there tomorrow. Maybe she will take my bloods, etc this time. And im going to ask about SW too. Hoping that it will help reign in my current free for all approach to eating!

Prevlurker, your skin issue could very well be pregnancy hormone related it does really strange things to your body. I got a load more moles from being pregnant with DD and a couple of discoloured patches (luckily on my body not my face) although the patches do tend to fade after the birth I noticed straight away they had gone darker when I got pregnant this time too.

Anything you think might be worrying you go and get checked out. Even if it turns out to be nothing you'll feel better for knowing.

prevlurker123 · 05/10/2014 11:33

Thanks Lauren. Its so hard knowing what is an odd pregnancy thing and what isnt....a really odd time for our bodies isnt it!

LadyNovember · 05/10/2014 12:53

I also get up twice most nights to pee..as well as going just before I fall asleep and as soon as I wake up. It literally fills me with anger..I don't like being woken up haha..God help me in 28 weeks time...! Grin

BananaToast · 05/10/2014 17:11

Yep I'm up every night now for a wee, very annoying and I'm sure only going to get worse.

daholster · 05/10/2014 18:50

Hubby just vetoed Thomasina Sad - we'd have used Tommy for her. I think she'd be cool. Dh said "you wouldn't really call our child that, you'd just like to think you would". Well for this one, not true actually... I think it's pretty, unusual and cool. So I guess its up for pinching... sigh

Siarie · 05/10/2014 18:59

Heartburn and acid reflux is killing me at the moment.Sad

BananaToast · 05/10/2014 19:03

Oh Siarie you have really been suffering. Have you tried Love Hearts? Someone (can't remember who, sorry) suggested them a while ago as being a nicer alternative to Gaviscon.

LadyNovember · 05/10/2014 19:19

Tums are ok too for heartburn if you prefer something non-minty x

Lauren82000 · 05/10/2014 20:18

Anybody else seriously tired at the moment. Convinced its blob growing as I've had a bit of stretching too but it's making me really tired. I had a nap today it got that bad! I've not really been that tired but these last few days have really hit me hard.

BananaToast · 05/10/2014 20:32

Yes, I'm constantly tired! Hoping it eases up soon.

IvegotaCaveTroll · 05/10/2014 20:52

I'm shattered... Getting through a work day is hard and I go for a sleep as soon as I'm home. 11 + 3 today- role on week 13....

sazzle82G · 05/10/2014 21:02

I'm shattered. Lay down for half an hour thus afternoon. Woke up 3 and a half hours later. DH is away so quite enjoying guilt free naps on a weekend. I keep thinking if my scan on Wednesday reveals bad news I've just turns into the laziest person ever!

catsofa · 05/10/2014 21:04

Yep, last two weeks I've been incredibly tired most of the time. Hoping it passes soon, I have stuff to do like find somewhere to live, move house..!

BonjourMinou · 05/10/2014 21:10

Hello everyone! 11+6 today and I FINALLY had my booking in appointment! I got the same lovely midwife as last time so I'm really pleased. Said I was going to have an ELCS and she said well why would you do otherwise!

Scan is on Thursday, so I'm nervous but getting really excited too.

Still haven't told anyone but they've probably all guessed... (I'm bumptastic :-( )

mswibble · 05/10/2014 21:24

Has anyone dyed their hair since the BFP? My hair is in a truly tragic state, roots and terrible greys! Really need to sort it out but im nervous. I usually use Superdrugs permanent red blonde but I think semi perm may be a little less risky?

BonjourMinou · 05/10/2014 21:30

I have! I didn't dye my hair at all last pregnancy and it looked dire. What to expect when you're expecting and various forums say hair dying fine so I went for it! Looks lovely now Smile

mswibble · 05/10/2014 21:34

Ooh, glad to hear that bonjour. Im too young to abandon my hair to the greys!

Well today I am officially 13 weeks and past the first trimester! I'm a third of the way there and I can start to relax slightly now. Seems like a long time to my next appointment but I'm feeling good this morning.

Lauren82000 · 06/10/2014 07:05

Terrible nights asleep last night, DD was in our bed when I woke up for a wee. Tried waking DH up so he could move her but he was dead to the world. So had to manage on the edge of the bed with feet in my back. Angry Going to be paying for that today.
