So glad things are progressing mrsbWink

I am starting to get a bit worried about going into labour because this baby is breech, i will be 37 weeks on thursday and dd1 came at 38 weeks! My labour progressed so quick last time and was 9cm by the time i got to hospital, i am so concerned that it will be even quicker this time and she starts to come out feet first or i end up with a prolapsed cord Shock i mentioned this to midwifes but she says they will not section me before 39 weeks but i am so so anxious about it and dont know what to do stop worrying about it as it is out of my control.,, i am bloody terrified and really hope this time she stays put until c/section date

YellowWellies · 29/09/2014 23:46

Stigz Sad I don't know if this helps but my contractions which had been a constant companion (at 1:3-10 mins) for over a week, slowed down to a trickle once L had gone breech as my waters went. The mw reckoned this wasn't unusual with breech as the bum doesn't stimulate the cervix very well. The paed also said in 3000 births last year he saw 1 instance of a prolapsed cord so its much rarer than I'd thought. So what I'm trying to say is if s/he stays breech labour might not be as quick this time and I'm sure you'll get to hospital. I can heartily recommend my thoroughly chilled out 'emergency' section.

Bump big hugs. I think we were one of the next latest before you and Lilla too decided she'd rather do end September than end October. I hope your wee lady is home soon and this horrible stressful time fades quickly.

Argh I think Lilla is reverse cycling - she's currently cluster feeding (having started at 6pm) and bar a torturous few 20 minute snatches to tease me I've yet to get any sleep tonight.

How do you sort out reverse cycling? Confused

FlipFantasia · 30/09/2014 04:24

Bump I'm glad she's with you and I hope you're home together soon. Massive congrats again on your gorgeous girl!

Yellow reverse cycling is hard with older DC (one of the things I'm not looking forward to when no 3 arrives!). L is still so tiny she doesn't know what day or night is. Check the trusty kellymom for words of wisdom (and sleep as much as poss during the day while your DH has paternity leave!).

kittyvet · 30/09/2014 07:30

Congrats bump!

fedupofrainydays · 30/09/2014 07:47

Congratulations bump! Glad you are still together and hope the little one thrives and you get some rest too (impossible when in hospital but give it a go!)

Lulu298 · 30/09/2014 08:13

Congrats bump! You were due just after me I think! Glad you can be next to your little girl.

cabster · 30/09/2014 08:16

Pleased to hear your baby is getting special attention but staying with you bump, glad she's arrived safely! Thanks

FrauEnglischLehrerin · 30/09/2014 08:39

yellow dd was completely nocturnal at birth - slept deeply all day without me being able to wake her to feed and then fed continuously from 10pm until 5am. It got slowly better after the first week - with hindsight I think a strictish routine of an early morning walk or putting the pram outside at least might have been a good idea (but I was too exhausted/pfb panicky to do this) and waking her every two or three hours for feeds during the day would have been clever (but you get people saying "never wake a sleeping baby", which instinctively felt right). Otherwise, flip is right and you need to get as much sleep as possible during the day.

FrauEnglischLehrerin · 30/09/2014 08:41

bump congratulations! Glad to hear you're not being separated from your little girl.

Missus2ndwife · 30/09/2014 09:19

Wow Bump! Congratulations !!

I think that now makes me the last person on the list ... will anyone still be following this - somehow I doubt it lol.

sazzlehopes · 30/09/2014 09:24

Congrats bump! Wow can't believe she decided to squeeze in a September birthday! Hope you both get home very soon x

sazzlehopes · 30/09/2014 09:29

missus don't worry we will be night feeding and keeping an eye on you don't worry!

fedup and me thanks! yes it's not wee like enough I don't think for waters.

4 days over tomorrow which is when labour started with ds. Let's see how long this little scamp keeps me waiting.

mrsb hope you're doing ok this morning. Any dtd action, and any baby action?

Congratulations bump, I hope you get home soon! What a cheeky monkey cutting the queue Wink

sazzle yes dh and I dtd, I woke up about 4am with the horn lol. Went to the loo tmi alert and had a bloody show and lots of it! Been having mild regular tightenings since last night, still having them this morning and it appears I'm still losing pit of plug. It's still smudged with blood when I wipe, is that okay and just plug?

sazzlehopes · 30/09/2014 09:40

Ha mrsb sorry about taking a probably unhealthy interest in your sex and sweep life!
I'm not sure about the blood in your plug? Maybe call and check as your overdue anyway. Or maybe me will be along to help. I think ok in your plug, but maybe not still when you wipe?

YellowWellies · 30/09/2014 09:43

Mrsb I think the docs take a bloody show as more indicative of imminent labour than normal mucus plug loss?

FlipFantasia · 30/09/2014 09:45

Mrsb sounds similar to how I started with DD (though my surges started after my bloody show), I had also had a sweep the previous day. You could be meeting your baby soon!

Sazzle lol at unhealthy interest in Mrsb's sweeping/shagging GrinGrin. I love this thread!

STIGZ · 30/09/2014 09:47

Thanks yellow what is concerning me is that my first dd was breech aswell and managed to stimulate my cervix so quickly ?? I just made it to hospital in time and ended up with emcs which was lovely considering it was an emergecy didnt really have time to worry as it all happned so fast !!! I have just been advised to get to hospital asap, just worried it happens at rush hour as the route will be chaos if it is Sad

Well mrsb sounds like things are progressing ... Grin

fedupofrainydays · 30/09/2014 09:49

Embarrassing - was just having a conversation with doctor surgery about my thrush problem (from sitting in pads for two weeks!) whilst the man was measuring for new carpets on the stairs Blush

mrsb87 · 30/09/2014 09:56

Haha I don't mind talking about it. Surely if we all share our experiences it can only reassure people going/been through the same or flag up problems that might have been missed?
Plus we all know we have sex.....how else did we get in this situation hehe!

STIGZ · 30/09/2014 09:56

Aww & congratulations bump we have a lot of impatient children on this thread !!!

mrsb87 · 30/09/2014 09:58

Oh no fedup!! How awkward for you. Although I'm sure the bloke probably felt just as embarrassed so you can get some comfort from that I'm sure.

binkybunny · 30/09/2014 09:59

Was yours not immaculate conception like mine mrsb or is that just how it feels after 9 months of very little sex Grin

YellowWellies · 30/09/2014 09:59

Ah Stigz bugger didn't realise your firstborn was breech! Shock
