Going through these fast at the minute!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
STIGZ · 08/10/2014 10:00

If this baby came at the same time as her sister it would be today ! Which would be unpractical as i have no childcare & dp needs until next week to make money we need to have 2 weeks off... But thinking it would end all of the things that pregnant listed and by saturday night i would be sitting on my couch polishing off a bottle of prosecco Grin whilst moaning about xfactor ... Sounds like heaven if you ask me?

cabster · 08/10/2014 10:04

pregnant it's not your fault, there's clearly something wrong with your washing machine. I'd contact the manufacturer.

PING! Right DS, come the fuck out or fuck the fuck off. Happy due date LondonJen!

The cat will not leave me alone, which is making me really paranoid.

Lulu298 · 08/10/2014 10:06

Sending baby birthing vibes to those overdue - it's the full moon tonight so you never know!

And hope all those who have had their babies get some lovely snuggles today.

I've just watched Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners. Made me feel better about the mess we live in and made me laugh out loud. Got the PIL arriving today so better make some effort to clear up the debris!

SummerDreams13 · 08/10/2014 10:06

Have been lurking due to too many posts recently! Sazzle, congrats on new arrivals and all others - lots of luck.

Pregnant, I hear you on the late preggo thing. Am 39+6, have also been blithely assured by everyone it would be early and am also trying to prep myself that it's going overdue! Had an attempted sweep yesterday which was sort of pushed on me without giving me any warning to think about it - found it quite uncomfortable and unsuccessful in any case as cervix still posterior though 'softening'. Midwife patted me on the shoulder and told me to start thinking about induction! Hadn't realised til then how keen I am for this baby to come out when it wants (though preferably it will want to sooner rather than later iyswim!)

MiL and her mum have now both flown into the country from opposite sides of the world - phone calls and emails every day to check if it's arrived and when I think it will come also not helping. Had dinner with them last night where I was wincing slightly when the usual pains start - BHs / early labour, don't know what the hell they are but they can sting, and both of them leaping over the table saying 'what's happening? Is it coming?!' Pleased they're so excited, but God, the pressure!!!

Sorry for mini vent- think it's all getting to me a bit at this last part...

Me23 · 08/10/2014 10:28

sazzle great news about baby Ned have been thinking of you. Hope he goes from strength to strength.

goats after all this stop/start I'm hoping once things get going for you it will be smooth and quick.

Feeling tired today, had fanny daggers galore on school run this morning had to stop and catch my breath a few times.
40 weeks on Saturday, I think I will still be pregnant, I dont know why I was so sure this one would come early too.

Me23 · 08/10/2014 10:38

Has anyone heard from excitedcj ? She hasn't posted in ages, I really hope all is ok with her.

binkybunny · 08/10/2014 10:42

pregnant Grin

LMP due date today and EDD Friday. Will be sending parents home on Friday so DH and I can dtd (can't do it with them next door and thin walls!) as its the only thing not tried yet!

binkybunny · 08/10/2014 10:45

me I can't remember, did she have her baby? Wonder if she's on the the postnatal thread?

ohthegoats · 08/10/2014 10:45

Sex every day here = nothing.

FlipFantasia · 08/10/2014 11:02

Me I also wonder about excited and her little one. She's not posted on the post natal thread in ages either. Excited, if you're lurking we're thinking of you!

Pregnant Grin

Great news about Hefner Grin

Stigz love the black bin bags as contraception!

Summer I could not cope with mil and mother giving me pressure!

I went to 42 weeks with my first. I was totally unprepared to do so, as had had IVF so knew my dates exactly etc. But my mum went to 43 weeks with her first and did keep trying to warn me!

Hope to have a sweep this morning. Am 40+1 and hoping a sweep plus full moon works (a sweep at 40 weeks got things going with dd, who arrived at 40+2).

YellowWellies · 08/10/2014 11:05

No sign of CJ on the PN thread - she did have her baby though.

pebble82 · 08/10/2014 11:08

I don't believe any of the old wives tales ideas now. Done everything suggested loads (apart from dtd as my pgp is too bad) but now officially think it's decades of bored midwives adding amusing things to do to the list for their own entertainment.

Sending happy labour vibes to all. Got just as much chance of working!

Me23 · 08/10/2014 11:19

pebble that made me lol, I can midwives huddled around making up things for pregnant women to try
"I know let's tell them to bounce on a ball while eating vindaloo and drinking jizz tea"

flip good luck with your sweep.

I've just eaten my lunch spag Bol leftover from last night at 11am! Was yummy.

mrsb87 · 08/10/2014 11:19

Dh and I have been dtd but I've got to the stage now where I physically can't get my leg over any more! Ive tried that, Sweeps and spicy food and nothing has worked for me either. BabyB is going nuts today and so are the BH.
was cj on the facebook page? I'm terrible at linking names on here to people on there.

puppythedog · 08/10/2014 11:25

We also haven't heard from our Twin parent. Can't remember her mn name and can't see here on the mn list on Facebook.

Sending warm thoughts to all group members MIA

Georgebythesea · 08/10/2014 11:28

Sazzle That's such great news! :) Enjoy cuddles with baby Ned!
MrsB You will be meeting your baby soon! So exciting :) Hope he comes tonight! I wonder how many of us will go tonight with the full moon!!

pebble82 · 08/10/2014 11:28

Right. I'm grumpy! My neighbour who is due 3 days after me is in the birthing centre in labour now. I'M SUPPOSED TO BE FIRST!!! Humph :(

ohthegoats · 08/10/2014 11:29

I just read the line 'visualise your nonny opening'.

FFS. I'm unsure as to what a nonny is.

YellowWellies · 08/10/2014 11:30

I think with newborn twins I might not make it online for months! Shock

FlipFantasia · 08/10/2014 11:32

Sazzle meant to add that I'm delighted to hear of Ned getting cuddles. Hope he goes from strength to strength!

Goats nonny - that actually made me snort with laughter! What a way to keep a cervix closedGrinGrin

ohthegoats · 08/10/2014 11:33

If I end up being induced I'm going to be so annoyed that I had to do these last three weeks - could have been induced at 39 weeks and not been basically a housebound grumpy cripple for almost a month. What a waste of time/life.

Pregnantagain7 · 08/10/2014 11:34

Grin cabster that made me lol!

Percy the pile has raised his ugly head again oh joy!!
I'm having another sweep tomorrow morning then have informed dp we are dtd that night I actually said " I don't care if you stick a picture of Cheryl cole on my bum I need your sperm" and who said romance is dead!

If neither of these things work I will be giving up until induction next Thursday.

me23 aha now we know what goes on at midwife staff meetings! Grin

I have a strong feeling about being in labour on a Saturday night I think it's because I was last time and spent a lot of it
bent over a hospital bed watching xfactor and strictly!

Pregnantagain7 · 08/10/2014 11:36

Nonny? A fucking nonny? Words fail me.

ohthegoats · 08/10/2014 11:40

Actually, I have a 'don't know what to do' question.

I have to inject heparin in the mornings. I was told that if I had labour twinges, not to inject - so yesterday morning I didn't. Now labour signs seem to have all gone away, should I inject again this morning or not? Well, this lunchtime.

If I've injected in the previous 12 hours it affects pain relief during labour - so couldn't have an epidural for example. If I inject now, I wouldn't be able to have an epidural until midnight tonight if say any sort of baby decided to make a move. Not that I want an epidural by midnight tonight, but you know. It also has risks with PPH, which again I don't want to happen by midnight, but less choice with that.

ohthegoats · 08/10/2014 11:44

I don't care if you stick a picture of Cheryl cole on my bum I need your sperm

Yes, romance is dead here too. Me on top mid shag the other morning - blowing my nose loudly. Mmmm sexy.
