Congrats sazzle..all here for you when feel ready to share x

weeonion · 04/10/2014 22:31

Evening all. Sazzle and Ned- hope things are going ok. X

Mamami · 04/10/2014 22:38

Wonderful news sazzle congratulations. Wishing all the best to little Ned & glad the doctors are hopeful.

Lily I'm so up for those brownies. Are you going to make the mix and freeze or just make them now? Doubt they'd last five minutes in my house anyway but have another 11 days to go. Have promised myself that this week is batch cooking week...Hmm

mum2kiss · 04/10/2014 22:38

Congratulations sazzle :)

fatpony · 04/10/2014 22:43

Congrats Sazzle, Ned is a lovely name. Hope he feels better soon.

STIGZ · 04/10/2014 23:06

Anyone know tonights lotto draw numbers?

cabster · 05/10/2014 00:02

Glad you and baby Ned are delivered safely sazzle Thanks

ohthegoats · 05/10/2014 00:19

I've just had all sexual advances spurned. Boo. Period pain and bh all day, had hope of jizz additions to the 'bring it on' mix. But no, the old headache chestnut was rolled out.

sazzlehopes · 05/10/2014 08:13

Thankyou so much everyone your support and well wishes means a lot. Hoping to hear more news as hours and days go by. At the moment doctors seem happy so that's good but it's hard seeing him up there and not being able to hold him. At the minute I'm sore as heck and swollen down there too but trying to pump so that when he is allowed food it'll be mine. It's nice to have something useful to do. No milk yet but it's only day one so hopefully it'll come in soon.

Now you can all get back to the brownie cake and jizz chat. It'll keep me smiling in here!

Gentle hugs, sazzle and hope you're holding you lovely Ned, soon.

I discovered a whole new level of pregnancy discomfort/lack of dignity last night - you thought calf cramps were bad, try glute cramps Shock
Just how do you stretch out your bottom, especially when you can't physically lift your knee to your chest?!

Lulu298 · 05/10/2014 09:10

Thinking of you sazzle and your little one. Glad to hear the doctors are happy at the mo.

shirehobbit, I find the yoga pigeon pose good for stretching out glute muscles.

LondonJen · 05/10/2014 09:14

Hope it's not long before you can have a cuddle Sazzle, expressing sounds a good plan.

Only here would there be jizz talk before 9am!

Ow Shire think you might need a volunteer to rub that for you! You can stretch your bum by sitting on the floor, knees bent up, hands behind you, with ankle over opposite knee bring it closer to you but I dunno sitting on your bum when it's cramping might be too painful to do this! Plus this is terrible description.. I've found this pick but the weird lady is lifting her bum off the floor. No need! I mean like this but just with normal sitting!

Agonising nights sleep over here too! My hips were on fire so been awake since 7 am. ..waiting until 10am to start the days painkillers again! Was able to manage the pgp pain all day yesterday with paracetamol and codeine but it obviously wore off over night and boy do I know about it!

My dp has been amused by all of you that have hubbies refusing to dtd! He can't understand why they would say no when it's being offered on a plate. He needn't worry about that plate around here though...my pelvis would probably fall apart!

I'd like to dress the crib today and get some baby clothes washed...we'll see

LondonJen · 05/10/2014 09:21

In what is hopefully some progress, I had some proper contractions through the night -woop! They kept waking me up. Very much like period pains with back ache but in intense waves, though I don't think lasting more than 15 seconds at the longest. Actually had them every 10 minutes between 6 and 7am. I figured they might trail off when I got up, which they have.

Had pancakes for breakfast as just really fancied them! Keep reading should eat nutrious light meals in early labour but reckon I've got time on my side.

ohthegoats · 05/10/2014 09:27

Oh sazzle, that's hard - hope you get your cuddles in soon.

I've just booked acupuncture for Tuesday morning (an hour before consultant appointment), desperation much?

Captainmcgraw · 05/10/2014 09:55

Congratulations Sazzle, love the name. Sorry you have both had such a difficult start but he sounds like a strong little mite so hopefully things will start to get easier for you both soon.

fedupofrainydays · 05/10/2014 10:01

sazzle glad the doctors are happy but must be so tough. Our wee one was in special care but I could stay with him. Would have been horrendous if I couldn't. Expressing is a good idea and hope your milk comes in soon. Mine was day 3 but had colostrum befor that I was hand expressing into a syringe (at one point my husband was doing the catching in a syringe!)! It was hard work getting tiny amounts. But as soon as it became milk it was much easier. Thinking of you loads xx

ohthegoats · 05/10/2014 10:23

I was inspired - boyfriend in kitchen cooking pancakes!

I think we also have a 'plan' regards the induction stuff.

I'm going to get a community midwife appointment for tomorrow - if I can't get in locally, I've got a friend where I used to live who is a midwife and will be able to do it for me. Get them to do a VE and just 'see' how viable things are for a) a sweep and b) induction. I know things change quickly, but I want to be prepared for Tuesday. If looking OK tomorrow, then have a sweep.

Tuesday go for acupuncture before appointment.

Consultant appointment - don't let them 'do' anything other than book me in for another sweep on Wednesday or maybe Thursday. At which point they will also want me to book a date for induction. Which I'll do. Whether I go to that appointment though, I'll worry about later in the week - when hopefully other medical and quackery options might have worked.

At that point I am still within their 41 - 42 week preference, but have eeked it out as long as I think they'll 'let' me. After that we're into different territory in terms of risk and their stroppiness, so will cross that bridge if we need to.

Meanwhile I was allowed access to jizz this morning!! And we're off for a 'long' walk today (which for me means about 3 miles). Apparently I'll be allowed jizz access this evening too!! Exciting stuff.

Have a lovely day everyone - looks like the last sunny one for awhile...

BadgerInBury · 05/10/2014 10:30

Another DP on strike here... He's much more interested in getting the DIY finished! Hmm

mrsb87 · 05/10/2014 10:42

Today we are just chillin', pj day with the mutts on the sofa. Had a yummy scrambled egg breakfast and I'm not going to stress about getting this baby out!
Sounds like a good plan goats, I hope having a plan has made you a bit more relaxed? As well as having a good shag haha!

Lily31 · 05/10/2014 11:05

Morning all. Glad the docs are happy with Ned's progress Sazzle.

mamami I am planning on just stocking up on the pre mixes. They take 5 mins, then just shove it in the oven. Think I'll get a variety to keep us going.

DP made a valiant effort yesterday and built the cot, the bedside crib and the drawers. It was lovely to get the nursery set up. I unpacked all the clothes and cute little bits and feel very happy about it all.

Just waiting for the midwife to arrive to create a birth plan. 37 weeks tomorrow, so I'm happy for it to come any time. Can only imagine how it must feel to go overdue... Feeling for you all.

As goats said, it's a beautiful day, we're sitting reading in the sun. Have a good one ladies.

ohthegoats · 05/10/2014 11:07

He's much more interested in getting the DIY finished!

I wish. My dad came over yesterday to finish the shower screen for me while me and my mum tidied out the room that contained so much DIY crap we couldn't get in it. I know that no DIY will be happening in the house over the next month so it just needed tidying. Boyf much more interested in getting rid of his snotty nose by taking far too many over the counter drugs, and making his garden shed waterproof. He was in his shed for 3 hours yesterday. Because that's more important than having a warm bathroom with a newborn!! I know that this is his way of dealing with 'stress' and uncertainty, but I'm having to bite my tongue quite a lot.

I added a really hot dhansak curry to the list for this evening. Anyway.. enjoy Sunday... last properly chilled out one EVER.. haha.

Pregnantagain7 · 05/10/2014 11:26

goats that sounds like a good plan.
I'm having a sweep tomorrow morning and hopefully one on Thursday done by the community midwife. It's a right pita being consultant led though because my community midwife is not allowed to do anything without the consultants written consent in my notes, so I need them to agree another sweep on Thursday. I'm really hoping that they will agree a date for induction tomorrow and I can be checked my lovely community midwife rather than having to go to the hospital especially as the clinic I need to attend is on a Monday morning and I would have to go on the morning of the midwife strike and I'm sure it would be chaos plus I don't want to go to any unnecessary appointments during a strike.

I've been feeling very strange the last few days I cried yesterday when we bought Ds his first shoes. I just want to be at home with the kids and am feeling very protective of them.

We're all off out this afternoon for a family meal probably the last one before the baby! Gosh that's actually quite a scary thought :)

MundayCakes85 · 05/10/2014 11:33

1 week overdue and BabyCakes seems to be settling in for the long haul to induction next Saturday Sad
So far DH has stepped up to his manly duties a couple of times, avoiding any jizz tea!!
Just had a brisk walk around the block before brother and SIL turn up.
Hope everyone has a lovely relaxing day, Sazzle hope you get baby cuddles soon x

bumpbangbump · 05/10/2014 11:49

In labour!!! Well, waters have gone and I'm getting a few mildly painful contractions. Today is even my LMP edd.

Baby bump is on her way Grin
