No medicine here either - no idea what we might need. I suppose the first thing that might come up for us will be related to dairy intolerance and colic/reflux (boyfriend dairy intolerant, most babies in my family have some reflux issue related to dairy - no hope really).. so I'll first of all try going dairy free on my diet, then will go for Gaviscon, but on prescription I assume.

Pregnantagain7 · 02/10/2014 10:59

Hi all, I've just had a midwife appointment I now have two appointments for fingering from strangers (bloody love that description bump! Grin) One on Monday and one on Thursday. My lovely midwife who has just been brilliant from the start has told me to go away and have as much sex as possible and let my partner come in my mouth Blush it works really well apparently! When I pull a face she said "oooh tell him to put in a a cup of tea for you!"
When I told dp he said " no way am I putting my nob near a hot cup of tea" Jesus fucking Christ is all I can say!!

STIGZ · 02/10/2014 11:05

LMAO pregnant ... I actually have no words Blush

mrsb87 · 02/10/2014 11:09

No I'm still here, things have called down this end which is annoying. I've been really sick this morning so not feeling too good.
Dh was going to pick me up a gym ball today but his work van has broken down so he's stranded....which is great if I do eventually got Into labour!
4 words to describe me today, tired, fed up and achey Sad

bumpbangbump · 02/10/2014 11:10

Tee hee hee!!!

LondonJen · 02/10/2014 11:11

Grin Bump Good luck!

I should be booking appointments in preparation for sweeps just in case but I much prefer to be in denial that I might need any.

Oo the 8th is my EDD. Shine that moon down on me! Bought milk yesterday with a use by 9th Oct. That made me feel odd!

I really don't think my bump looks any different, or like it has dropped at all, if it helps. I don't have the bowling ball between the legs feeling or feel like there's more room in my tum for large meals. And am still belching. Like so many of us on here though I am 5'3" and so baby never had much room to go upwards in the first place, just outwards!

MundayCakes85 · 02/10/2014 11:13

Haha putting his nob in a cup of tea- it's not a HobNob you know!! I'm trying to get DH to DTD but he's done some "research" which says it's doesn't help. I think he's wimping out!!
Lost a lot of plug yesterday so went for a brisk walk. This resulted in almost crippling me with SPD and still no sign of baby. Never mind, where did I leave those biscuits to go with my cuppa?

Me23 · 02/10/2014 11:13

Lol pregnant that's hilarious! Spunk tea hmm I don't see that catching on plus I prefer coffee myself.

I'm increasingly feeling like this baby is going to be the latest arrival of my brood. She only has 2 days left to beat her brother. I may even ride out my due date this time. I'm hoping I'll go a bit earlier maybe the full moon on the 8th will coax her out.

I've just finished my "lunch" of leftover curry at 11am!

LondonJen · 02/10/2014 11:18

I prefer coffee myself

Oh my bump hurts from laughing!!

kittyvet · 02/10/2014 11:21

Know how you feel goats. My baby has been anterior since I first learnt to belly map, I've only used forward postures and the little blighter has gone posterior at 38 wks! Trying everything to encourage it to rotate back!
All this talk of tea and cake means I am having leftover crumble for lunch :)... At 11.30!

ohthegoats · 02/10/2014 11:26

Urgh, jizz tea? Surely it would float like a jelly snot thing on the top? I've not been able to go anywhere near jizz with a tongue since being pregnant, I can't imagine ruining a nice cup of tea or coffee with it.

I'm turning into a cake monster - the nearest commercial thing to my house is a Costa. I've been sitting here thinking about the cake choices available... but even though I can almost see it from my house, I'm going to drive to it because my lady-garden says NO to any walking today.

ohthegoats · 02/10/2014 11:32

kitty it's gone to sleep now. Hopefully to consider its actions - then it'll come back with an apologetic swing to anterior. Yes, think positive.

FlipFantasia · 02/10/2014 11:33

Pregnant that's hilarious! Lmfao!

Puppy I agree about the attachment stuff. Some nurseries are great (sounds like Mum2Kiss has a great one!) but it's one of the reasons we went with a childminder.

Fatpony God, that part of London is a great spot to have a baby. I still miss it! I'll pm you.

Sympathies to everyone feeling fed up. I genuinely thought something may happen after my cramps/pooping yesterday but nope, I feel grand now. The hoise is way more organised though which makes me feel better. Midwife this morning (am 39+2).

SweetPeaPods · 02/10/2014 11:34

Pregnant that is one interesting mw!!
DH not keen to dtd yet. But I'm going to speak to mw this pm about possible prolapse. Think that's putting him off don't blame him

8th oct is the only date I want to avoid as it's another nightmare family members birthday. My legs will be well and truly crossed that day!!
I've got no relationship with mw this time round, see a different mw every time. Not sure if I should be asking anything today. They don't seem to ask me anything, just do bp, urine, and measure bump. Is this now normal? Is it because it's 2nd dc?

FlipFantasia · 02/10/2014 12:01

Fatpony I sent you a PM.

FlipFantasia · 02/10/2014 12:04

Sweetpea today is my sister's birthday so really don't want the baby to come today! Or Friday the 10th (BIL's birthday)...hope it's not a prolapse. I thought I had one after DS was born, but it wasn't (I remember googling and freaking myself out about it though).

I'm putting the kids in preschool for an extra hour today so that I can have time to swing by a store that sells British food. Maybe buying some familiar treats will give baby the prod s/he needs to get here! More likely, I'll scoff whatever I buy before it can even see the outside of my hospital bag...

kittyvet · 02/10/2014 12:10

Yes goats me and baby have had stern words and I have asked it nicely to consider another rotation before my labour starts!

mum2kiss · 02/10/2014 12:16

Jizz tea?! No thanks! Don't have a taste for tea or Jizz lol!

Weirdly without even thinking I ate an entire pineapple yesterday and then had a spicy chicken curry for dinner...If I had gone into labour I probably wouldn't even have remembered what I'd eaten that "may" have triggered it!

Dp gave me a big telling off last night because he thinks I've not been taking proper care of myself. Not been taking my pregnancy vitamins, not eating enough, not eating the right things...apparently he had a long list and he wants me to make extra effort from no until baby arrives. Mainly I just don't feel hungry and have so many things to remember I forget about vitamins! Oh well will have to try harder

Kirstipops · 02/10/2014 12:23

Jizz tea bwahaha!!! My DH thinks the notion of shagging baby out of me is just an old wives tale, bah. He thinks RLT is quackery as well right enough so at least he's thorough in his cynicism. None of the midwives have ever mentioned it at any appointments either so that doesn't help my case. He, his siblings, and all of his siblings's kids came early too so I think he was sure I'd go on time or early whereas I knew I'd always be late. Oh I love being right Grin 5 days late tho, if I go over 10 then I'll have broken my mum and sister's record. I'll be refusing an induction until after 2 weeks has passed I think. I'll take a couple if sweeps though, with all these Braxton Hicks (or whatever they are!) I feel like my body will be ready for it, butaybe that's wishful thinking. Baby keeps swapping from left to right for me too, I must have a ginormous uterus, surely they're supposed to be squished in there by now?

mum2kiss · 02/10/2014 12:29

My little flower keeps switching from left side to right side too...this means I still get limbs poking out in random places but midwife and gp both assured me that baby is no longer b2b. I really do hope so!

ohthegoats · 02/10/2014 12:42

Mainly I just don't feel hungry and have so many things to remember I forget about vitamins!

This is me.

I've not really been properly hungry for the whole pregnancy - shows in the amount of weight I've not put on I think. It's been good, I'm normally a massive glutton! I've not taken any vitamins at all apart from calcium that I had to take on prescription - something to do with preeclampsia and my age. I've been RUBBISH with green food though. Eaten lots of fruit at various stages, but vegetables and meat have been not all that good. I've just bought a 'mini-meal' from M&S that I'm going to have for lunch. Three meatballs and a spoon of mash, cook a few spoons of peas - that's amazingly well rounded for me at the moment.

binkybunny · 02/10/2014 13:07

Hi all, been thoroughly spoilt but just had a teary breakdown as I'm knackered after walking around 3 shops so about to shove a McDonald's fillet o fish down my neck.

Lulu I really didn't want a changing table, but have decided I need somewhere to keep nappies etc and also can't be bothered getting up and down off the floor. DH has made a top with shelves to sit on a wood linen box thing we already have and he's made it to convert into a bookcase when it's not needed any more.

Spunk tea has actually just made me gag, urgh the thought! Confused

sazzlehopes · 02/10/2014 13:20

bump and pregnant your jizz in a cup conversation has been hilarious.

Well 40+5 today like you kirstie I go between really desperate for things to start and not feeling strong enough to manage it. The stabby pains today are so bad when I get up to do things, but if I sit still they are not too bad. Makes me worried I won't be able to cope with actual labour right now. It's so annoying as I didn't feel like this the first pregnancy...

Hospital appointment tomorrow at half 11....will see what they advise!

mrsb87 · 02/10/2014 13:22

Binky that sounds yummy! Enjoy Smile
lulu we have a chest of drawers with a changer on the top that can be removed when we don't need it any more. We have a couple of baskets for putting nappies and creams etc in next to the changer as it's quite a large chest of drawers.

sazzlehopes · 02/10/2014 13:27

Sorry what I meant was I am the same dates as you kirstie. Not that I was feeling the same as you! There should have been a full stop there...You appear to be happy to be left and feeling strong!!
