lauren you may have a tilted uterus, my book "what to expect when your expecting" mentioned it in the early first trimester. It stops you being able to wee due to the pressure on your bladder and all the tubes.

Mention it at your next appointment as it can be manipulated back into a position for you ideally.

Lauren82000 · 11/09/2014 18:17

Thanks sairie i will mention it when I eventually get my booking appointment.

That's great news Banana, I was miffed when I had my scan and they put me back 4 days I would of been 8w tomorrow if they hadn't.

AnniaFausta · 11/09/2014 18:42

Banana, fantastic! Really glad you had good news and a supportive sonographer.

cinnamongreyhound · 11/09/2014 20:29

Wrote a long post this morning and it disappeared :(

Prevlurker123 and woodchiponthewall, I'd be cautious about planning a trip so close to due date. As you say could be late and although you'll get through as that's what we do but it may not be fun and you don't need that pressure. My milk came in at day 5 and I had huge boobs and milk going everywhere at every feed and I wouldn't have fancied that on a plane. Everyone is different and you may take to it like a duck to water but you don't knowing until you're there really. Sorry of that sounds really negative!!!

Glad you're having a lovely time LadyNovember.

I went off tea as others have said Sazzle82G but I'm drinking a couple of cups a day again now. I got some of tips decaf in my bounty pack and it's actually not bad. I also don't mind hot water and I bought some fruit teas today.

Lauren82000 I agree you can't stop having sex for 9 months but perhaps until you have your scan and get reassurance you could hold off. Didn't you say that you had a bleed? It could be that it's just you've aggravated that. Are you drinking as much as normal? I was struggling to drink and weeing only a couple of times a day, maybe your bladder just isn't actually getting full?

As long as nothing disturbs me I sleep through the night BrixtonBunny, hope you manage to get some more sleep and feel better soon.

Congratulations Squidge14!

It's still recommended not to eat them but lion eggs should be safe and a teeny tiny risk of food poisoning stuntman. I scraped the bowl from making ds2's birthday cake today Shock

So so sorry to hear your news ladesC, especially as it's your second in a year. Wishing you well in your future journey and do let us know how you're doing Thanks

So pleased to hear your news BananaToast and Misty414!!

I has a blow out on dual carriageway today :( luckily I wasn't working so just me and ds2. Need two front tyres which are apparently odd size so no one had any and we have some ordered but dh needs that car tomorrow so it's been a bit of a shuffle. I'm exhausted trying to catch up on everything I need to do for ds2's birthday and I'm babysitting tonight so ok early night for me.

Oh thanks. That makes me feel so much better. Didn't think I should be feeling guilty about the odd cuppa but people make you feel so bad!

cinnamongreyhound · 11/09/2014 20:32

When I had ds1 guideline was 4 cups of coffee and 6 cups of tea, assume there's new research but I wouldn't panic Sazzle82G!

LadeC - really sorry to hear your news. I was 3rd time lucky too and then there was no stopping those babies coming! Good luck with everything and take care.

sazzle82G · 11/09/2014 20:38

Thanks cinnamon. I know, my mam said I was mad for worrying but then things have changed a lot since she had me.

Tiredness still continues. Is it really not Friday night yet? I intend to sleep all weekend. I can't wait for my booking appointment next Tuesday. I need reassurance that this pregnancy is actually realm otherwise I've just turned into the laziest person ever!

Lauren82000 · 11/09/2014 22:26

Cinnamon I did have a bleed and the spotting but this morning just ended up being slightly tinged water freaked me out a bit but it's stopped again now so hey ho onward and upward.
When I had my scan the sonographer said my bladder was really full but I certainly didn't feel like I was bursting. Maybe I am just weird, will drink loads tomorrow and see if that makes a difference.
I'm do bloated after my tea and all the snacking I did after it. My tummy is stretch to bursting and I have a 5 month sized food baby bump! It'll be gone by tomorrow but I secretly love it coz that will be me in a few months. Smile Gave it a little pat and stroke in the mirror when I was putting my pjs on.
On a side note gas anyone else's nipples gone darker yet? I noticed mine looked darker and rounder before, plus I think they are starting to point south a bit with the extra weight in my boobs. How embarrassing.Blush

Lauren82000 · 11/09/2014 22:28

Damn autocorrect just reread some bits of that last one and you'll just have to read round the mistakes. That's what I get for posting on my phone.

LadyNovember · 11/09/2014 22:28

My nipples aren't much darker yet Lauren but I swear they are bigger! Boobs deffo are..two cup sizes so far Shock

Lauren82000 · 12/09/2014 06:21

Wow that's quite an increase! So far mine are just heavier I think they might be a bit bigger and they have definitely changed shape but DH says they are still the same size maybe a bit heavier. Considering he is a boob man he doesn't pay much attention to the changes. Id say my nipples weren't that much darker but in my room last night they really stood out against the rest of my boobs. (Colour difference not nipples to attention) Grin

How is everyone today? So far so good for me even managed to drag myself out of bed to make DD her teddy crumpets Smile

cinnamongreyhound · 12/09/2014 06:31

My boobs are definitely fuller and my nipples are sticking out more but don't think they're darker. I had much bigger boobs before and didn't notice any changes until my milk came in with ds1 but they did start leaking at night around 20weeks with both.

Yes Misty, so impatient! Woke up this morning to another red bleed like I had yesterday, but it seems to have stopped now. Can't wait to have a way of telling if baby's ok.

Lauren82000 · 12/09/2014 10:06

I felt my DD pretty early I think maybe 14/15w everyone said it couldn't be but my sis said it probably was and I got the fluttery feeling all the time so I was pretty convinced.

If I squeeze my nipples a bit I actually squirt a bit of milk.Blush But ever since DD I have always been able to get a drop or two out of them. I fed her for 15m so I'm convinced that's why they never really dried up completely.

Lauren82000 · 12/09/2014 10:07

Oh and sorry to hear your still having bleeding Misty and Banana, mine is all fine and dandy again.

Couldn't help myself, started to knit a cardy for blob. In lovely super wash merino / cashmere.
I'm 11 weeks tomorrow and know the hearts still bashing away at 167bpm thanks to Doppler, so fingers crossed I'm not jumping the gun. Scan in 10 days... I guess I'll also know downs risk then.

Knitting or crochet is very easy to learn - I'd really encourage it. It's great to make something you or a friend can wear! Start off with a crochet square (which you can them start a blanket with) or knit a little scarf. Once you get into yarns (and there are some lovely ones) it's hard to stop!

JaneyTea · 12/09/2014 12:21

Lindalove totally agree that knitting is addictive, and so therapeutic. I am trying not to knit for ours yet, as I'm only 7+3, but am knitting for a friend's baby at the moment. Yesterday I was thinking that the main reason I'd quite like to find out the sex of the baby is for the sake of the knitting!

Lindalove · 12/09/2014 12:24

JaneyTea yes I totally agree! I want to know anyway but it will help. My cardy's in ivory but I'll add funky buttons once I know his/her sex. I'm staying away from pastels though whatever - I love strong colours.

cinnamongreyhound · 12/09/2014 12:54

I knitted a cardigan for ds1 but it was tiny! According to my mum
I had the wool too tight. Considering he was 8lb12 and only fitted newborn clothes for 3 weeks the cardy would have fitted a doll! Dh's mum stopped knitting for us as she sent a some stuff and it didn't fit ds1 as he was gaining 1lb a week so was huge. She thought we were lying and just didn't want it so never knitted for us again :( my friends mum loves knitting and made one jumper for ds2 but perhaps I should have another go! Not such a tricky pattern this time :)

I'd love to knit but I'm a reader and you can't read and knit at the same time. A girl I work with said she'd teach me to crochet as I had started a scarf 8 years ago and it's all shapes and not long enough for anything. Maybe a muff if I sewed the ends together. Wink
