Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Last week of work this week will be 34weeks thurs n would have worked another couple weeks but is half term here next week so wanted to spend time with ds.

C section booked for 39 weeks stuff pretty much sorted must drag out holdall to pack as hospital bag.

Antenatal visit from health visitor tomorrow she is a colleague so that's fine

Midwife on Wed afternoon for 34weeks app.

Got a few babysits booked in but not doing anymore after beg Nov as need to rest.

blamber · 13/10/2014 17:10

Good luck this week maths! How exciting!

Anna, hope they find out quickly what is causing all this trouble for your dad so he can get better soon.

I just can't believe how far along we all are now!

I have washed all the baby's clothes too. I just threw everything together and then realised that loads of vests and sleep suits don't have the size on them! What's that all about? I have no idea what clothes are what size now as loads of them are plain white too. I managed to identify the newborn stuff and just guessed what would be the next size up even though they look massive compared to newborn. Hopefully I'll actually have clothes that fit him when we leave hospital.

Thehedgehogsong · 13/10/2014 18:16

anna I really hope it's good news for your dad and just a small simple blockage. Remember to look after yourself too. Eat and drink and sleep! (Sounds like stupid advice, but I've been there with a sick relative and just put myself last, meaning I felt burnt out).

blamber sometimes they hide the size label in the seam in the outside leg, sort of bottom height, is there nothing there?

Loaf99 · 13/10/2014 19:24

Anna it's not a viral thing where you lose your voice is it? This is really rare, Larry page had it? Hope everything pans out big love x

haventgotaclue1 · 13/10/2014 19:29

anna really hope things perk up for your Dad. Thehedgehog is right - make sure you look after yourself too. I've also been in a similar position to yourself, looking after my Mum and making sure my Dad stayed on the straight and narrow. It is very easy to forget about you in these situations...

maths - how exciting! Can't wait to hear how it goes - fingers crossed for you.

Started my last week at work today. It does feel very strange...have been crossing the days off the calendar for weeks, but now it's actually here...it's a bit of a different matter. I know what to do at work; I'm pretty good at my job. In approx 5 weeks time (all being well), I'll be doing something I don't have a clue about - really doesn't sit very well with my control-freak nature Confused

MrsY87 · 13/10/2014 21:05

Hi ladies I've only posted a couple of times but have lurked since the beginning! But want to share the birth of our daughter Imogen Alexandra with you all! She was born this morning via emcs after my waters broke yesterday as she was still breech, although she is just under 5 weeks early she weighs 6lb 13 which is such a good weight Struggling a bit with breast feeding and having to top up with formula as she had low blood sugar but other than that she is doing really well! All came as a bit of a shock her early
arrival, DH had to go and buy for and pack my hospital bag!

Good luck with your induction maths!

Strawberryfield12 · 13/10/2014 21:13

Anna fingers crossed for your dad, I hope it is some blip and you get good news soon. Surely for your dad knowing that the grandchild is on way will give him more strength to fight whatever it works out to be.

Following your advice did the staircase walk tonight along with other exercises to flip the baby. God, that was quite something! Also read in a book written by a doula and 3 midwifes the thought that mums have to talk to their babies about the birth they have planned for them and babies in most cases try to make it happen. I really liked that idea and spent some time telling our girl how great it all will be if only she goes head down in next few weeks. It definitely made me feel relaxed and special that we can sit down and chat, both of us (all right, I know it was my monologue this time...).

I might be going bonkers but last night I thought I felt my baby moving around and some of the movement felt like scratching me slightly from within with her little nails. Am I mad or somebody else has felt similar?

amy83firsttimer · 13/10/2014 21:20

Wow Mrsy87! Congratulations. I bet that was a bit scary. Glad you're both Ok and well done to your DH - not sure mine would know what the heck to put in one!

Lovely name too - imogen made our shortlist but DH thought it was too posh. (I out-posh him)

pinkgirlythoughts · 13/10/2014 21:29

Congratulations MrsY! I remember you, I think you were my due date buddy? Lovely name, DS would have been Imogen had he been a girl :)

Petal26 · 13/10/2014 22:12

excitedforbaba · 13/10/2014 23:55

strawberry my baby is currently back to back and at times it feels like he or she is rubbing wee toes against the top of my belly and scrunching them up! Strange feeling

Congratulations mrsy87 how exciting it makes it all feel so real now! That's a great weight and such a gorgeous name! Xx

WinterLover · 14/10/2014 06:07

congratulations Mrsy87 what a fab weight. My DS was 6lb 3oz at 36wk Grin

Anna thinking of you.

Officially 37 weeks today! ! Pains got worse last night but eased at bed time, really think he or she needs evicting now, my bump hurts sooo much. Heads further down, just a shame I cant do long walks, well I could but not in this rubbish stormy weather

MrsY87 · 14/10/2014 06:13

Thanks for all the congratulations! We are still trying to take it all in as it all came as a bit of a surprise! Will be in hospital until wed at least I think and then hopefully home which is when the real fun will start I'm sure! Definitely feeling pretty clueless about how to look after this tiny person but seems to be going ok so far and the staff at hospital have been really great!

Anna- sounds like you are having a tough time at the moment, hope your dad is ok, try not to take on too much and stress yourself.

Mumonabroom · 14/10/2014 06:14

Anna thinking of you and hope all is ok.

mrsy congratulations!

Hope all these naughty babies spin around. My first was breech, undiagnosed until v actively in labour for 9 hours, which meant that I'd been poking his head and talking people it was his bottom for weeks. Oops Smile seems to have turned out ok though. Haha.

3 weeks until c section for me today. Seems v real now. I hope she doesn't come early, like the first at 37 weeks. I need time to organise more stuff!

Loaf99 · 14/10/2014 06:52

Congrats on the babber! Anyone else just not sleeping then trying to work :(

happypotamus · 14/10/2014 08:42

MrsY Congratulations on your baby. She sounds a really good weight for her early birth. Hope everything continues to go well for you.

Anna Thinking of you and your dad. Hope you have some 'real life' support too, who will be able to help out with him, especially once you have the baby.

utopian99 · 14/10/2014 08:43
