Gun - estimate now. Well, last Monday. No one has mentioned a term weight since week 28, but at that point things were looking small. Now it's back on track.

Mrscrumble - I think the same - lots of bh and period pain going on. Wonder if it's going to 'gear up' for 3 or 4 weeks though!

hefner · 08/09/2014 22:33

I'm feeling the same as goats and mrsbadcrumble, lots of pressure and crampy pains over the last few days. I'm 37 weeks today, wouldn't be surprised if the baby arrives before my due date. I managed to get some baby clothes out of the attic over the weekend so I feel a bit more prepared now, but I'd like the baby to hold on at least until next week so I can start my mat leave!

Lily31 · 08/09/2014 22:49

Evening all. Had a shitty day at work on Friday, so I've been moping about since. Trying to regain positive thoughts, so that baby and I are happy.

Good to hear your news crumble on the placenta. I was told I have a low lying one at my 20 week scan. Need to wait until 36 weeks to see if it's moved. Really want to have a natural birth if I can. Anyone else had the same and later found it had moved?

ExcitedCJ · 08/09/2014 23:00

Hi guys, this recent chat of baby carrying has really made me want to buy a close caboo! I'm really trying to stop myself but I don't do well with restraint!
Talking of restraint - holy cow I feel like a new woman! My last 3 bloods have been spot on & my energy levels have gone through the roof! I can't believe it, I have been really suffering with getting ready in the morning as I've had no energy & then been getting headaches through the day as my bloods must have running high constantly! Crazy! Hope wee bub has not suffered :(

CellyD · 08/09/2014 23:10

Vicky so sorry to hear your news about little Edith. I hope you and your family have the support and care you need. Thanks for coming on to the thread to remind us how important following up on lack of movement is.

I'll be doing bum genius in the day and totbots at night from about 8 weeks, depending on the weight of the LO. Our DD was 6lb 8 and took a little while to fit into the cloth nappies.

Placenta encapsulation... thanks for the lesson ladies. I don't think I'll be doing it but we will be donating the cord blood as hopefully it will help a sick child elsewhere at some point.

3 days left at work before I start maternity leave. Long days and a commute are so exhausting at the moment. A colleague at work said I had no right to look tired / complain about long busy days as I'll be off doing nothing for a whole year Hmm I guess that's because maternity leave means restful nights, long lie ins and endless lunches with friends (money of course being no object) rather than the no stop exhausting but rewarding adventure of raising a small person.

cabster · 08/09/2014 23:16

So sorry to hear your news vicky - I have a kick counting app but have neglected it lately, that all changes now. Flowers

I have the Sleep Pillow free app for iPad, some good white noises plus a tinkly yet effective Brahms' Lullaby. The icon is a sleepy owl.

ExcitedCJ · 09/09/2014 05:05

Rarrrr!! Angry
Can't sleep! Been awake since my 3:30am toilet trip!

MundayCakes85 · 09/09/2014 06:26

Know the feeling CJ- I've been awake all night with horsefly bites that won't stop itching and not sure if it's safe to take piriton Sad
Hope you managed to get some sleep

tak1ngchances · 09/09/2014 07:46

I slept 10.45 to 4 and 6.40 to 7.40.

Had a mahussive nosebleed at 6 which is now on my cream carpet and I can't get down to clean it properly.

ohthegoats · 09/09/2014 07:49

I was awake from 2am - 6.15. So that's nice. I got up at half 3 and went into the spare room so I could sigh and snort and roll over all the time without interrupting anyone. The moon was SO bright, probably didn't help.

I was also stressing about which colour waste down-pipe to have on the outside of the house. Because that's important at 2am. Aagh.

fedupofrainydays · 09/09/2014 08:04

Whatever matches your gutter goats. Our builders put a random grey bit in when all the rest of house pipes are black! It's now changed.

New low this morning - can't find any vessels or actual food to give ds for breakfast so he's having belvita breakfast biscuits. Blush

I've got to admit that after Vicky's sad news I'm obsessed with movement. Thought mine had hiccups this morning, what was the deal with that again? Also I've a cough - I think from breathing in all the dust and paint crap (probably actually just a cough) can this dust pass to baby? I know chemicals can but what about dust etc?
Ds has full day at nursery today so think I'm going to escape and go to ikea to find a chest of drawers and a rug that I don't care getting trashed.

ohthegoats · 09/09/2014 08:34

fedup - yes, we're going to change our gutters and sofits. So, white sofits, black gutters and downpipe. That took several hours of obsessing though.

Hiccups is about practicing breathing.

I've just realised that I've had no heartburn or the dreaded constipation since Friday... and now I have a cold. So, some things getting better, but clearly the nice immune system I had while pregnant is on its way out.

YellowWellies · 09/09/2014 08:38

Argh baby is breech again! Growth scan today though whoop.

I found the best scratch mitts were wee socks.

Full moon this week - I bet we see some labours from the September ladies.

sazzlehopes · 09/09/2014 08:44

Celly what type of tots bots are you using at night? Last time I only used bum genius but I'd like something that absorbed more at night....

Fedup - I think you'll be ok, sure dust would be filtered out before it got to baby. Try not to stress about things...I've breathed in loads during our house renovations but I'm sure that's what my lungs are for! I know I'm doing my best being healthy and chemical free in every other area (food, beauty products on me and baby) so sure baby will be fine.

sazzlehopes · 09/09/2014 08:45

Yellow, a friend of mine is worried about breech. Will they offer to turn it? (That's what she is having) Or just give you elcs instead?

Kirstipops · 09/09/2014 09:18

Sazzle - Totsbots Bamboozle were recommended to me for night time nappies www.thenappylady.co.uk/shaped-sized-nappies/bamboozle-stretch-stretchies-by-totsbots.html

Fedup my wee one gets a fit of hiccups every day at least once - definitely takes after its dad in that regard! My mw laughed when I told her so she doesn't seem to think it's anything to worry about.

Sorry to hear about everyone's crappy night's sleep, before I got out of bed I was already looking forward to a nap this afternoon :-|
Munday could you ask chemist if you could try anti-itch cream, horsefly bites are horrible, one is bad enough but if you have a lot you must be being driven insane! I'm allergic to mosquito bites and anti-itch cream was the only instant relief I could get.

I thought the nearer we got to D-Day the less room there would be for baby to move, but baby still seems to shift easily from one side of me to the other at the moment!

Me23 · 09/09/2014 09:32

celly i don't think anyone would blame you for punching that colleague in the face! Doing nothing for a year wow!

Sorry to hear about the bad sleep. I've actually slept well the past 2 nights which is unusual but long overdue for me.

fedup hiccups are normal, however they do not count as fetal movement so if baby's movements are reduced don't be falsely reassured by presence of hiccups.

I've been feeling quite nauseous this past week even vomited a few times so achy in hips and legs too.

MundayCakes85 · 09/09/2014 10:24

Got some anthisan cream for the itch, now to go bathe in it Grin
My bump is head down but legs pushing out near my kidneys, makes for a very lopsided bump, hehe

Shirehobbit · 09/09/2014 10:49

I had a mahoosive anterior placenta with DS, so felt very little movement, but he was a constant hiccupper (and still is!) which was reassuring to feel, even though it didn't officially count as movement.
This one is also a daily hiccupper, but with a posterior placenta, things couldn't feel more different - anyone and everyone can see this baby having a good old boogie in there, bottom regularly swooshing from one side to the other!

binkybunny · 09/09/2014 10:55

Sorry to hear about rubbish nights sleep, I had my 'once a week' good night's sleep last night. Slept from 11.30-5.30 got up at 7 brought coffee and toast back to bed to read for a bit, but fell back asleep and have just woken up Blush Thank goodness I don't have any planned for today. I think I just get so exhausted that once a week I pass out for a good 11 hours, would rather have consistent 7-8 hours though.

I'm also paranoid about movement now as there's no real pattern to our lo's movement.I was eating ice lollies at 10.30 last night as I hadn't felt much, but we got a good few kicks as soon as I laid down to sleep!

clops2000 · 09/09/2014 11:43

Sorry to hear the baby's moved back to breech yellow, I was worried about the same but the MW's just been and is pretty sure he's still head down. Maybe yours will have turned again for the scan? Mine turned during the scan last time, little wriggler! :)

Another rubbish night for me, only managed 45 min stints before my hands were throbbing in pain, guess i'm getting used to it now though! only way for me to catch up though is in afternoon if I have a nap, when I get a really deep snooze.

We've ordered little lamb fitted nappies (half bamboo, half microfibre) and blueberry coveralls. Can't wait for them to arrive now. Plan on using disposables for first few days at least, until the poo becomes more manageable and less tar-like!

Getting excited by the mention of early signs from you all, I haven't had anything yet but I'm only 36+4 so need to just relax and be patient.

STIGZ · 09/09/2014 11:54

My little darling is still breech and im getting really paranoid that her mahoosive kicks are going to break my waters! I can honestly feel my lady garden moving when she does it, im getting really anxious about it as my last labour progressed so quick and really dont want to be pushing out feet which nearly happned last timeShock plus getting paranoid that this is my second breech baby, wondering if there is something wrong with my womb or something that my baby's wont go head down?? But they havnt said anything at scans?? Plus doctor google says there could be a chance of abnormalities in breech presentation ? My mind is going haywire this week worrying about "what if's" Sad

gunwalloe · 09/09/2014 12:10

Its 2 weeks today until my caesarean and im feeling quite anxious I hope I can do it without panicking, stupid really as ive already had 2 cs but they were emergencys so I was on autopilot actually walking calmly to theatre is currently filling me with dread. Someone slap me!

gunwalloe · 09/09/2014 12:12

Stigz sounds like we are both being worriers Smile

Missus2ndwife · 09/09/2014 12:14

Gun - you will be fine! You know what's going to happen vs an emergency CS, stress & baby worry. You're biggest problem is there may be a delay in when you're due in theatre. Don't stress 8-) xx
