Feeling a bit gloomy. I'm part of a cheerleading team, it's just for fun really-nothing too strenuous no backflips or human pyramids. But I'm really struggling to keep going both in terms of energy and because of my achey hips and back. The team are doing a competition in Oct and a show in Nov. The teacher (who is also due in December!) says she'll simplify bits for me but I don't want to be the daft looking pregnant lady on the end doing different things, so I figure I'll have to drop out

Annoying that the teacher is still going strong and bounding about whilst I hobble. I know she's used to doing a lot of physical activity since it's her job, but still...it's not fair

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrggghlhhhh noooooooo........ its toooooo earrrrrrrlyyyyyyyy

Well its not really but I dont want to get up. Its lovely and warm and snuggly in my bed. The cats are draped against my legs and I have a full day of first aid training as well as keeping an eye on staff who have taken the piss over the last 6 weeks when i have been either on hols or sick for 4 of them.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 12/09/2014 07:10

Catface! Your instructor might be ok now but the evil pregnancy fairies will get her in some way. Piles so big they look like a tail, or a newborn that wont sleep until its 6!

Just out from my 25 wk appointment and finally got a mat b1! Off to work to arrange a year off hurray!!
All is fine with baby, she is measuring within the averages and heart beat nice and healthy Smile

I've got MW at 4. Everyone has me paranoid though because I've had a headache everyday for at least a week and I've been quite itchy.

I wasn't worried until SiL started bleating at me

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 12/09/2014 14:40

Don't worry Lotsa, good luck.

My 25 week appointment is on Tuesday morning and since we're both off work, DH has decided he wants to come too. I hope he's not disappointed when it's just wee/blood pressure/weight again Grin

Loading the dishwasher last night I felt a twangy sensation in my lower back/top of my pelvis area which sent pain right down the back of my leg. Not sure why but I'd just got off the sofa so wonder if I wasn't sitting properly? Woke up all stiff this morning and im now wondering what the best position to sit or lie down is? On my back or side? Anyone have any ideas? Confused

Lucy90 · 12/09/2014 17:48

Pourqoi i lie on my left side with top leg over a pregnancy pillow and another pillow under my feet, i find this most comfortable and stops leg cramps too

CatFaceCrayola · 12/09/2014 18:39

Had a worrisome day. Instinctively i dove in to break up a fight between two 10 year old boys and got a proper big shove to the belly. Been rather concerned...but Bubble seems to be wriggling about as normal again :)

Lesson learnt...stand back and let them beat the crap out of each other! (And send for help obviously!)

CatFaceCrayola · 12/09/2014 18:41

Im having problems sitting comfortably at the moment. Made DH bring his old computer chair into the lounge as our sofa has a scatter cushion style back that i just sink into and end up in pain. Computer chair is slightly better

Taura · 13/09/2014 06:16

3rd trimester. 27 weeks today. 12 weeks to go (I don't count week 40 because it's just one day).
Breathless, achy hips, heartburn, kicks and wriggles. 30 working days left.
All fun, eh?

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 13/09/2014 08:11

Oh holy crap yes.... I'm in the third too... 28 weeks. panic panic panic panic.....

Chipandspuds · 13/09/2014 08:25

29+1 today Smile

Just checking out what's on for babies and toddlers in my local area so I have some options of things to keep us entertained whilst I'm on maternity leave! Although the Surestart Children's Centre has dropped quite a few sessions and is now charging for sessions there still seems to be at least one thing going on each day.

I think with DS we first got out and about to baby groups at 6 weeks, I think this time it will be sooner as DS will be climbing the walls if we stayed indoors at home for 6 weeks!

I'm planning after Christmas to reduce his nursery hours down to 3 mornings a week and then I can save up my childcare vouchers to use when I go back to work.

Still keeping up with pilates and mainly with aerobics although I'm on the easiest level of everything for aerobics. I feel like I can do certain things e.g. jumping jacks but I have stopped this week as I feel like my tummy is too big to be jumping about! Happy to jog on the spot still though! I've asked DH to make sure we all go swimming tomorrow as I think that will help keep me moving for the third trimester!

Not long to go now!!

Jogging! I can barely walk!!!!Shock

Chipandspuds · 13/09/2014 09:07

I joined the gym a year ago to lose the 'baby weight' from DS and not ready to give up yet! It makes me feel better about all the chocolate and biscuits I've been scoffing Wink

You're tiring me out with all your exercise talk chips . I need to lie down and have some cake I think.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 13/09/2014 09:16

I'm still in bed waiting for Dp to go make me toast. Grin Meeting my friend for a hobble around a nature reserve later though... there will be many toddlersGrin

CatFaceCrayola · 13/09/2014 11:01

Good on you chips. Walking is hard enough never mind jogging or jumping

Taura · 13/09/2014 11:37

I do some gentle swimming (20 lengths in about 40 mins :)) and then go and sit in the (not very) hot tub for 5 mins.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/09/2014 12:06

I'm desperate to go swimming :( I'm going to take my bathers on holiday and hope for the best.
I'm a werewolf from the waist down, though! Thick, black fur all over my thighs :(

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 13/09/2014 12:07

*as a result of pregnancy, I mean.

LisaC2611 · 13/09/2014 12:09

28 weeks today for me. Grin

I've been seeing my trainer every week throughout my pregnancy so far and am hoping to keep it up at long as possible, intention is up to 37 weeks but we'll see how I'm doing by then. I may end up swapping for an aqua natal class instead.

Feeling lots of movement under my ribs today not quite sure what BOB is doing in there but he's certainly having a good old wiggle!!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 13/09/2014 12:20

Peace I'm the same. Plus I have belly pubes.... Grin

Hugmonster82 · 13/09/2014 13:35

All you active girls are making me feel very lazy. Until I got pregnant I was running a few miles a day but had to stop because of sickness and dizziness. I really miss it. Now all I do is walking (mainly to the fridge and back) and yoga once a week. Don't know how you find the energy!

Chipandspuds · 13/09/2014 15:51

To be honest I'm so uncomfortable from sitting down at work all day it's more comfortable to be moving about! DH reminded me we used to go for walks most evenings when I was heavily pregnant with DS as I was so grumpy and uncomfortable sitting - lying down or walking we're there only two things that felt comfortable!

I remember not being able to do up my maternity coat for the last month!

I'm not sure how long I'll keep it all up, I originally thought I'd aim for 30 weeks, but now I'm thinking I'll carry on pilates until the baby is born as my pilates instructor is very good and knows what she's doing so I don't think I'll do myself any damage! I'm quite happy to carry on with aerobics for as long as possible, my instructor has just told us all she's expecting her first baby so I suspect I'm an interesting case study for her! My aerobics teacher also teaches pilates so I think she's good at adapting exercises for me as I get bigger!!

I just remember feeling so weak and unfit after having DS I'm hoping if I an carry on exercising even a little bit that I will be able to get back to a reasonable fitness sooner after having this baby! It's not even about being slim as I've never got back to my pre DS weight, it was more the horrible achey back and being unable to carry DS for long that kicked me up the backside me into getting fit.

After I've had the baby I'll wait until after my 6 week check to start pilates again, then check with the doctor about when to restart aerobics. I also want to get back into body pump, it's the hardest class I've ever been to but I definitely saw results fast from it! If I actually have time I quite like the idea of doing the couch to 5k thing!

All this depends on what the baby is like, how I'm feeling after the birth, if DH minds etc.! I had a quite bad tear after DS, lots of stitches and evil piles so I'll see how we all get on!
