I've got 65 days until maternity leave, but my head hurts too much to figure out how many of those I'll be working! Saturday is my worst day, though, and there's only five more of those left!
Hope you feel better soon Catface

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 09/09/2014 18:01

Its tenants kissing me! I didnt dodge fast enough :( Plus staff members rubbing my bump/pasty belly.

I might just rub them in vulnerable places to see how they like it. Or do what my cat does when someone touches her on her belly and FUCKING SHRED THEM!!!!

40 working days for me Grin

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 09/09/2014 18:11

Mmm pasty

CatFaceCrayola · 09/09/2014 19:00

my friend got fed up of bump touchers so whenenever anyone touched her bump she put her hand on their boob! I think people soon caught on and left her alone!

CallingAllEngels · 09/09/2014 19:59

Grin catface

monkeybaby2 · 09/09/2014 20:12

I've never minded anyone belly touching but I do come from a very tactile family so I guess it's just comfortable for me.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 09/09/2014 20:14

I love it Catface! May start groping back.

Peace, what was the final verdict on the Footners? Grin

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 09/09/2014 20:25

Poor DH has a UTI or kidney stones so we've spent all night at the Walk In Centre. Going home finally, and I have a day off tomorrow, yippee!

The final verdict on the Footner socks is BUY BUY BUY! It took two weeks in total because I didn't apply Vaseline to the tops, so I had a few days of them looking scaly, but now they're all new and soft and lovely! I'm going to invest in some nice cream to keep them looking tip top until I decide to do another treatment. Well worth the money, just for the convenience of not having to scrub or scrape or actually DO anything to make it work! I didn't even soak them, bar paddling a bit in the shower every morning.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 09/09/2014 21:00

Right! I'm sold.... peely feet skin it is for me...

Your poor dh. Sad

LotsaTuddles · 10/09/2014 09:13

I hate the bump touching especially as it always wakes the baby up and she tries to escape (well it feels like it anyway).
SiL does it on purpose though, but not in public which is always appreciated

TinyMonkey · 10/09/2014 12:29

47 working days to go here, can't wait. My manager is having some kind of breakdown and it's really stressful having to manage her.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 10/09/2014 12:40

Aw hope your manager is okay, Tiny? Stressful for you, though. I'm thinking of going in late tomorrow. I'm so miserable Confused

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 10/09/2014 13:09

On way back from gtt tests. have been sat in boiling waiting room all morning, someone next to me was sick by my feet and Jeremy Kyle was on TV full blast. If I get too hungry I get a migraine. Am now on packed hot bus with a migraine. Not going back to work today.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 10/09/2014 13:15

Oh god BHLS. Was it negative or do you have to wait for results?
The waiting room at the hospital last night was a bit Jeremy Kyle Confused

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 10/09/2014 13:22

If I have diabetes they will call me. If I have heard nothing by tomorrow afternoon I don't have diabetes!
I dreamed last night I was having a c section, and I was shouting at the nurses that I wanted my baby put straight on me when the checks where done and they wouldn't. :(

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 10/09/2014 13:27

I'm nervous about mine because my mum has type 2 diabetes, and my last couple of samples have had traces of protein in them. Also I don't really drink a lot of sugary drinks, so I'm nervous that will have an affect Confused I know there's nothing I can do to affect the result, but I'm still nervous. I just don't want any other reason to be high risk; I've got plenty already!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 10/09/2014 13:28

That first "affect" should say "effect"?Hmm

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 10/09/2014 13:28

And no question mark! FFS I'm going back to bed.

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 10/09/2014 16:49

Just posted a message on the other December thread by mistake and can't copy and paste it over as I'm on the app. I'll do it later...

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 10/09/2014 17:06

Just went and looked for it Pourquoi. Mine was booked at 16 week appointment because of my mum's history and my BMI. No idea if everyone gets it or not?

CatFaceCrayola · 10/09/2014 17:08

Today has been the least rubbish day of the week so far at work. Even left early. Now a little bit of housework to do and then it's chill time at least until 8 when DH finishes work.

Baby movement is making me feel a bit weird though. It's gone from obvious sudden "kicks" to more of a ripple type feeling, and I don't think I'm loving it!

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 10/09/2014 17:26

Just had nurse call. Tested positive for gestational diabetes. So in addition to fucked up pelvis and MH issues....I am not feeling the love. its slightly the last straw actually. Just want to lay in bed and howl.

monkeybaby2 · 10/09/2014 18:22

Oh BHLS, that truly sucks. What will you need to do now?

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 10/09/2014 18:26

Oh no BHLS :( can you control it with diet or do you need medication? Pregnancy is just fucking awful for some of us, isn't it? Hugs and stuff

PourquoiTuGachesTaVie · 10/09/2014 18:37

Thanks peace, I'll mention it again just in case. My BMI isn't an issue but neither was it for my mum and she still got diabetes while pregnant with me which wasn't diagnosed until I was nearly a year old and she nearly died because of it. I'd rather bug the midwife and be a pain than for something like that to go undiagnosed.

I'm sorry to hear about your result BHLS Thanks

Everyone having the GTT are there circumstances which mean you need to have it or is it a standard thing? (just wondering as there seems to be a lot of people having it on this thread?)

My mum had type 1 diabetes which I told the midwife about during my booking in appointment but no one has mentioned the GTT since then.

Whooping cough vaccine done today. Midwife appointment next week when I'll be 30 weeks as she wasn't available at 28 weeks.

It's also looking like I need to send my own matb1 form off to HR as I have a new line manager who I'm not impressed with. I've got a call with HR tomorrow to discuss mat leave, KIT days etc and my line manager is supposed to be there but won't be as they've gone on holiday. It's stressing me out a little!

29 weeks today.
